I just completed the concealed carry course with Roger Honts at Lifestyle Firearms Training. He did an outstanding job with the classroom work as well as the outside pistol range training. I had limited training up to this point so it was essential for me to get the proper training. Roger did all of that and more in a professional way that I would recommend him to anyone needing the concealed carry course. As a firearms instructor for the NRA and the the state of IL for CCW, I recommend his classes hands down. He covers everything thoroughly, makes sure questions are answered, and takes care of application submissions. Even if your an "old pro," the cliche you cannot teach an old dog new tricks is way off. As I took the renewal class, I learned some new tricks. It was not only educational but fun. In addition he also has other self defense courses for firearms. No question about taking those! So if your looking for an awesome instructor for a firearms certification, I recommend him hands down. Give him a call, email, or show up at lifestyle fitness in kewanee and get that ball rolling! I just finished part 2 of the concealed carry class. First, I want to say if you are considering taking a concealed carry class, I highly recommend this course which is offered by a very knowledgeable instructor, Roger Honts. As a woman in today’s society, I was looking for a way to protect myself and my family. Roger taught me everything I needed to know about owning my own gun. This included how to take it apart and put it back together, how to clean it, how to handle it, and how to shoot it. By the end of the class, I felt comfortable that I knew how to handle a gun effectively. I look forward to continuing to take classes and further my education. I just completed the NRA Personal Protection Inside The Home course that Roger offers at Lifestyle Firearms Training and it was great. A lot of information was packed into this class in a supportive environment. The range work was very in depth, and I was able to practice what I learned under supervision. I have been a shooter for decades and didn’t realize how much I didn’t know about how to properly defend myself in real world scenarios. If you are wanting to get concealed carry certified I couldn't think of a better place than Lifestyle Firearms Training. I just completed the second portion of the concealed carry class and I couldn't be happier with it. Safety always comes first when dealing with firearms and that's exactly what was delivered in his classroom and at the range. Roger offers such a vast variety of knowledge that even an experienced shooter learns something new. Rogers teaching method is very engaging and he actually takes the time to answer any questions you have. I took the NRA Basic Pistol Course. Roger was a great instructor and very informative. I had never handled a gun before, but this course provided me with detailed safety instruction when operating a gun along with the technique for care and cleaning of a firearm.
