It has been almost a full year since I first spoke with Wilma and Arlene, and it has been one of the most surprising and rewarding years I have experienced in a long time. To say that they have changed my life is an understatement.I had been out of the workforce for over twenty years while raising our three boys, and recently divorced, when I spoke with Wilma and Arlene last summer. Having only done volunteer work in the past fifteen years, that kept me involved with my children in school and extra-curricular activities, with a few part-time side gigs along the way, didn't seem to be a resume builder in my mind. And the career path I was on before having kids was not a reasonable option, since I was in convention services back then which requires nights, weekends and holidays. Not the best choice when you're trying to balance a new life as a single parent with three teenage boys.Within my first meeting with Wilma and Arlene I felt excited and positive, and so relieved to realize that I actually had marketable skills and life experience that could parlay into possible job opportunities. They have the magical touch for teasing out your talents and skills, shining a light on what your strengths are, and how to apply them to real life situations and career paths. I went with the package that included both of them after our free consultation over the phone - I couldn't imagine choosing just one to work with! They have such a great dynamic, balanced and expansive between them, and have so much energy together, that it just made sense to work with them as a team.They were great coaches, providing an energy that makes you feel that you can accomplish anything you set your mind to. They helped me pull together my first resume in over twenty years, with a great outsourced resume writer, that made me confident when sending out to possible employers and going into interviews.Thanks to their advice, homework and direction I was able to land a job within my first month of looking. It was an entry level position, but a great place to get my feet wet and test out the idea of going back to work.I have now been employed with a start up company for the last ten months. In that time, I have found my voice and have begun to trust my skills and talents more than I ever dreamed possible. I have taken on many new challenges, and have grown from an entry level position to a leadership position running my own department. Gaining confidence along the way, I have surprised my boss and others in my office with what I am capable of accomplishing as well as what I am willing to learn. So far, I have been promoted twice and received two pay raises, within my first year!When I first spoke with Wilma and Arlene and heard the price structure I was a bit unsure, having never spent that much on myself for anything ever before. But I am here to tell everyone that it is the best money I have ever spent on myself, and I would highly recommend their services to anyone looking to relaunch their career, reinvent themselves or just to think outside of the box for their next career move. Especially to all of my newly divorced friends that are shell-shocked and starting over, with no idea how or where to start, I tell them to call LifeWorking and make the best investment they will ever have the opportunity to make in themselves. Arlene and Wilma were absolutely fantastic!!! Not only did they provide me with materials to help with my professional development, they helped me identify what employers are looking for during the initial interview. They were very professional and honest during the sessions. Their expertise also gave me valuable insight regarding networking, and how to go about it the right way. Their insight has given me additional confidence during interviews, and how to negotiate as well. As of last week, I have had four initial phone interviews and a second interview later this week! I was referred to Wilma and Arlene by a mutual friend and the friend spoke so highly of this firm that I thought there is no possible way they are that good, the friend is just helping with their marketing. I have never been so happy to be wrong!! Wilma and Arlene were so friendly, flexible, knowledgeable, and dedicated it was truly unbelievable. I could feel that they genuinely cared about what I wanted and needed in a career and they helped me get there. They got the essence of who I am as a person before we even discussed potential jobs because in the end, it's your personality and life experiences that dictate what sort of career you will be happy in. I went from being absolutely miserable in my career to finding a new job and industry that I plan on being in the rest of my life, and it's all thanks to these two amazing women! Life Working helped me to return to the traditional work force after being out of it for a long period of time. I had left to become a business owner, so that I could have flexible hours to raise a family, as well as follow my creative passion and enhance those skills. When I decided I wanted to return to a marketing position with a traditional CPG firm, I found that I wasn't getting any responses or interviews with the materials I was using. I had great experience and a great skill set, but the way I was packaging it, just wasn't garnering any attention. That's when I turned to Wilma and Arlene. A professional athlete, gets a coach, a serious investor, gets a coach, a serious job seeker, should get a coach, especially if it has been awhile since you last had to job seek or interview. I worked with the wonderful coaches at Life Working as I was transitioning out of a consulting job and looking starting my own business. I needed some serious help convincing myself that (a) I should pursue business in a field I'm extremely passionate about and (b) that I was ready to do so. In reality, I had been setting myself up for such a move for years but had a serious case of cold feet. Arlene and Wilma helped me address my fears and articulate my mission in a way that I could not have done on my own. I'm happy to say that I launched my business November 1 and couldn't be happier. Unlike other coaches I've worked with, they genuinely listened and offered great advice, thought exercises, support, and resources that were perfect for my specific situation. Each session felt like we were moving forward from where we left off the last time. Life Working generated such a  fantastic cover letter and resume, that my college freshman son immediately was interviewed for three choice internships.
