We had Karly do our family shoot with 2 kids and 2 excited dogs Our kids are normal well behaved kids but were struggling that evening. She was AMAZING! It’s not the photographers job to control your children if they are not cooperating. My son has Autism and was in sensory overload, my daughter was hangry, and the dogs wanted to fight for her attention. She was cool, calm, and collected. She was patient and fun. She rolled with it. I would recommend Life Thru The Lens for adult shoots, older family shoots or shoots for well behaved children. We liked her photography and she was very personable. However I have a very difficult child and she wasn't helpful with the situation (maybe we've just been lucky with very child friendly photographers in the past). No distraction or games or interaction with him directly to take his mind off the cold or not wanting to do another pose. I'm assuming she has no children or minimal work with them and she could benefit from broadening her horizons to capture happy smiling pictures no matter what the circumstances may be. I would pursue her again in the future If my picture needs don't include my 6yr old son. More...

I have always LOVED taking photos of other people .
Why should our clients choose you?
I take photos of EVERYTHING, because I love looking back & reliving the moments that we can’t put into words. I’m a mixture of tomboy + girly-girl all rolled into one, and I think that’s what makes me stand out from other photographers. I can be silly but I will always be real with you. I'll get down on the ground and get dirty if needed to get the pictures that I want. I don’t want all the posed looks; my style is creative & natural. I'm all about the real smiles! If I make you laugh during our session, well then my work is done. I want you to be able to look back on the photos I capture of you and smile!
