I started going to LMC in April 2015 after being poisoned with risperdone at another hospital (caused lightheadedness, akathisia, loss of motor control and intelligence, felt like my brain was being blow-dried, etc). The first thing LMC wanted to do was give me haloperidol, but I eventually ended up taking some ziprasidone, which in addition to the side effects of risperdone, caused tardive dyskinesia, jaw chattering, hallucinations, nightmares, and caused me to scream my self awake at times. Afterword, they gave me haloperidol, which also caused akathisia, pacing, twitching, restless leg syndrome, and sexual perversion. Now, obviously I was having trouble keeping up with the dosage of these pills and by this time I was done taking antipsychotics because of the side-effects. They acted like it was because I was having trouble "remembering" to take the pill. Shortly after this they gave me the long-acting Invega Sustenna injection. I was unaware at the time, but paliperidone palmitate is very similar to risperdone. I may never know why they gave it to me with no titration period, without at least testing oral paliperidone because they refuse to tell me. My life since LMC gave me Invega Sustenna has been a living hell and the doctor refuses to give me a D2-agonist until I take more antipsychotics. More...
