Avil is the man to go to! I was trying to get fingerprinting done a few doors down but they would not open their doors. I had a single question about tax what percentage I can expect to pay on a 401k if withdrawn early.  I searched yelp for for tax services and called several of the top listings only to be told I need an appointment which would be charged at the normal consult price of $100/hr.  After calling 6 or 7 with the same response, I reached liberty.  The gentleman was polite, I asked if he or someone available might be able to answer a question and he said he can certainly try.  Instead of giving me a vague, general response, he asked for some tax information of mine and gave me an idea of what to expect based on the information I provided.  The interaction took 5 minutes, but in that time he went above and beyond in customer service.  I know where I will be going next tax season, they've most certainly earned my business. I've been coming to Liberty for years. Taxes are easy enough for one to do on their own, but this place doesn't kill customers with prices, and their team is exceptionally fast (primarily do walk-in business). The staff is always friendly, and the process literally takes a couple minutes. Pretty short review, but these guys handle their business well. Only once a year, but always a good experience. After paying a much higher amount with my previous tax representative I decided to try something closer to home. Read reviews about Dan and came to Liberty.  Unfortunately Dan is growing his business and now managing their San Jose location.  Fortunately Avil his brother is at this location.  Avil was very easy to talk to and helped me understand what I had to deal with this year as well as forecasting for next year with my new career path and income.  The great thing is Avil is also a Real Estate Agent and we were able to discuss our residential ownership questions related to taxes on equity.  Very happy I found someone close to home and now a long term client! My friend recommended me this place and I decided to give it a try this year which I am very glad that I did. June took us in the first time we got there. She was very friendly and told us that they could get the tax done in a day. I was a bit uncertain when she told me, but guess what, they did it! We came back the day after, Chitra sat with us and explained our tax situation to us very patiently. At the end, the manager showed up to make sure we maximize our return. I had a great experience doing my small business taxes at Liberty! I brought my paper work to Pei and she diligently reviewed my accounts and got everything in order! At our appointment we reviewed the details and she was ready to file. Highly recommended!We have tried other Tax preparers and have good experiences with them however they are really costly. Dan took care of our taxes last year and was very happy with his service. He was able to save us fees while maximizing our refund. This year we returned, he introduced me to Chitra and she did the same thing. Mr.Dan is very proficient, my 2015 taxes were completed by him, he saved me $9k, my CPA for 15 yrs didn't write off many things or not aware of new laws -he told me that I would owe $9k so I got extension and he got sick, so I made a apt with Dan- thank god I did because he saved me money. The woman that helped me was second guessing everything she did. I didn't have anything complicated about what I was filing or claiming, and she was very awkward to work with. I'm not sure if it was her second day on the job or what but I wish I would've had a faster experience here. This is my 2nd year using Dan at Liberty Tax Service. I am so glad I came back!...I have to admit, I tried to do my own taxes on Turbo Tax this year, JUST to see what I would get (my company offers an additional discount off of the TT online service). I went through the process, but at the end felt that my return was a little....off? Then I went back to Liberty Tax. Dan was professional, attentive, and I didn't wait for service at all. He really helped me maximize my return, and through his expertise found extra money that I missed on my own with Turbo Tax (stupid student loan questions!). I was here today to get my taxes done. Dan helped me with my returns and he was great. Dan was warm, calm, welcoming and very keen to listen, learn and help. I am glad i chose liberty tax services. Dan finished my returns in about 30 min and he explained me how i could increase my return and maximize tax benefits for future. This place is recommended for everyone looking for tax or financial consulting. I felt the pricing was reasonable too. In addition, i learned these guys help with buying a home too... Ask Dan if interested and he is great at explaining everything in detail. If you use my name, you would get an additional $20 off your return (new customers only). First came in with my fiancé after reading some of the reviews on Yelp. We called in on a Sunday to see if they had available time slots to serve us that day. Yes they did, Dan asked me what time worked, I said like 2ish and he said. "sure, see you then".  Dan helped her out, he was professional and very attentive.
