LAA helped make our vision a reality and also helped us navigate the Boston special permitting process. Final result looks great and was exactly how we envisioned.

Leonardi and his team helped us navigate our first large house renovation. They drew up some very helpful plans for us, then helped us find a great contractor and provided ongoing project management services. Would work with again.

Michele Adrian has been advising me for an entire house restoration project. She has a very good vision and the style I really enjoy.
Also a wide experience that will ensure that all areas are carefully designed and in the correct place.
Truly recomended!

Michele Adrian provided my wife and I several creative alternatives to our initial concept of adding an additional story to our home, one of which we adopted with a great result. With Michele's expert guidance and design, our home living space was expanded in a way that perfectly suits our family of five. The project was also an aesthetic masterpiece from a "curbside" perspective, and has increased our property value well beyond the cost of the project.. More...

it was a great experience working with them. We renovated and old house (almost knocked it down). Michele got what we wanted from the beginning.
She came up with a great desing and help us from day one to the very end. She understood our needs and respected our ideas.
The timing was great, she made an excellent team with the contractor that we chose (she helped us in the process to choose a contractor too).
We love our house!

How can someone tell if their Garage is suitable for conversion?
By having a productive conversation with LAA. Prior to scheduling a fixed-fee site visit, we will submit a questionnaire to gather some information about your project . After the approx. 1 hour site visit, we will then follow up with a report outlining our observations and remarks.
Run us through the different stages of the Garage conversion process - what's involved?
Zoning regulations should be evaluated when modifying or converting a garage to a different use; if detached from the main structure (i.e the house) a garage may be considered an accessory structure in certain municipalities, which may limit what you could do with this type of structure. Some detached-garages has been found to be an important historic asset within a community, restrictions or some considerations may apply. Dimensional requirements such as lot coverage, total square footage and height, should be evaluated for garages attached to the main house or detached garages. We will need to evaluate the physical conditions of the structure/building in order to fit the new program and comply with building code requirements. Please call us so we can customize a design approach best suited to your situation.

What do you love most about your job?
I enjoy learning about many building types, the different built environment situations and get to know many different people, As a design professional, I appreciate the opportunity to create or influence a space someone will call home, work or my place. An important part of LAA's practice is affordable housing, and through that work, I have enjoyed working with community members, elected official and other stakeholders. I have had the opportunity to meet and work with different individuals with distinct views. I also love the fact that the people that I have collaborated with are knowledgeable, reliable and more important great people.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I am an Architect and a Planner, by training and work experience, having my own business allows me to work on both fields and to learn from each field to better serve our clients.
Why should our clients choose you?
Work ethics and ability to create great ideas-designs, but you won't believe this until you see it.
