When we went to Hash, they were doing their absolute best. There was one person working in the kitchen, one person hosting/bussing and one person serving tables during a Sunday brunch rush. While we did have to ask a few times for water glasses, we totally understand that they were running on the bare minimum and they still delivered an excellent meal. Great tasty and freshly prepared breakfast on our visit. Coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice were delicious. My only complaint was that we weren't made aware of the daily hash specials they offered by our server.

A friend and I have eaten lunch at Hash approximately 15-20 times in the past 2 years. The service, food, and atmosphere have always been excellent. We have always been allowed to eat either inside or outside during the summer months, and I set up a table outdoors. I should note that the indoor section of the restaurant was busy, loud, and almost full, which is one of the reasons I elected to eat outdoors. A male server, whom I have never seen prior to today, asked me if I had gotten permission to sit outside. I was confused and said, "no." He asked a blond server if it was okay, and she stated firmly, "no." When I asked why, Blondie stated that "we are planning changes" for the outdoor section of the restaurant. We chose to leave, and I posted a complaint.At the suggestion of the owner, my friend and I returned to Hash to give them "another chance." Absolutely terrific! Had cooked beets and sweet potato hash topped with 2 eggs and goat cheese sprinkled on it, side of toast. Delicious and generous portion with their dark, rich coffee. Nice setting, patio and attentive service. Interesting menu, much locally sourced. Have eaten here several times, food and service always consistently good. The topper - Dutch apple pie - take a large slice home after a satisfying meal - makes the experience last (of course you can just pop in for afternoon break of pie and coffee).
