Alicia did my hair & makeup for my maternity photos and I was so happy with how everything turned out! She is super professional and a pleasure to work with -- responsive via email, asked for inspiration photos in advance of my desired look, and arrived at my place on time (actually early). Alicia listened to what I asked for, while also using her expertise and knowledge to to make suggestions based on what would photograph well. Throughout the process she would ask to make sure I felt comfortable and happy with how I looked, and made small tweaks if I wanted. I was gifted a 1-on-1 makeup session with Alicia as a birthday gift, and she was so amazing! (She was also my sister's makeup artist at her wedding, and she did an incredible job! ) She is so friendly and down-to earth. She was very open to answering all questions I had and even had me practice one side of my face and she would do the other. I definitely needed some practice, but she was so encouraging and patient in teaching me the right technique. I learned so much from her - from the different products that are specific to my facial features to the techniques she taught.Alicia was also very safe in regards to COVID-19 guidelines - always wearing a mask and we made sure that there was cross-ventilation at all times. I would highly recommend Alicia for any makeup service - thank you so much for sharing and teaching me all these amazing tips and tricks - I just hope I can remember them all! More...

This review is long overdue. I just want to start by saying how amazing it was to work with Alicia. Two of my very dear friends were getting married and had very little time to plan their wedding. The bride and I were scrambling last minute for a make-up artist. We were very lucky Alicia was willing to come to our aid and help in such short notice.Alicia was very methodical in her process. She organized everything up front; reviewing Covid safety protocols, to understanding our timeline of events and preferred hair / make-up aesthetics. She provided us with an itinerary for our glam session and kept us on schedule. Alicia is absolutely a master at her craft. She did such a stunning job on execution. Our makeup palettes were tailored (mixed and blended) to the exact tones needed to accent our facial features. She even left us with touch up kits in case we needed them throughout the day. Alicia is hands down not only THE BEST makeup artist and hairstylist but the BEST person you could start your wedding day with! She is so friendly and good at her work that you don't need to be nervous about anything! She helped me right from our first call to discuss the makeup and hair style and was patient to answer all my questions and provided her valuable advice. I was very nervous while looking for the makeup artists but with one call with Alicia, she calmed me down and assured me everything would be perfect and she did keep her words and made it happen PERFECT :)On the wedding day, she was punctual and since this was during covid, she came a bit early to sanitize my place before starting the makeup! Really appreciate her being so considerate. The moment she arrived, my room was filled with so much friendly and happy vibes. She kept me in the loop at every step of the makeup and made sure I was happy with everything throughout the makeup process. Because of covid, my family back in India couldn't join us so I was really missing them. We talked about everything from makeup to families and it really felt that we have known each other for so long! I made a short video of my makeup in the end in which she said hello to my mom and trust me it might seem a small gesture but my mom was so happy and felt like she was there with us. Trust me each moment of your wedding day is important. And Alicia makes even your makeup moments memorable :)The end result of my makeup and hair was AMAZING!! I cannot say enough good things about Alicia and her work. She did my bridal hair and makeup and made me feel so beautiful. She listened to my feedback from our trial and gave me exactly the look I wanted. She did an incredible job with the hair extensions that I had bought, and my makeup was gorgeous. She really went above and beyond and took pictures of my friends and family with me while I was getting ready. One thing I really appreciated was her sanitation and COVID-safe service. I felt so comfortable the whole time. If you are looking for someone to do hair and/or make up for any big event, I highly suggest you go with Alicia. You won't be disappointed! More...

Alicia did the impossible...she provided her consistently excellent service, even when she could not see me in person due to Covid. Let me explain. Alicia had prepared my hair and makeup for several photo shoots and live performances prior to Covid. (I cannot recommend her services highly enough!) But during the pandemic, I needed to do a video recording during a time when it would not have been safe for us to meet in person. SO... Alicia provided me with a thorough, 2-hour tutorial on how I could do my hair and make-up myself! She provided a consultation prior, to make sure I had all the products and equipment I would need (and she was able to work with most everything I already had). Then, she allowed me to video record our tutorial session, which I used on the day of the shoot to prepare myself. Of course, I would have preferred to have her provide her service in person, but with her training, I didn't do a half-bad job! Now THAT is the true magic of Alicia! More...

I'm so glad I chose Alicia for my big day!  Alicia is super talented and so amazing to work with!  I booked Alicia to do both my bridal hair and make-up, and also make-up for my mother and mother-in-law. We were all so pleased with our final looks and felt so comfortable and natural!Throughout the whole process, Alicia was very thoughtful and attentive to any of our needs and concerns. During my trial make-up sessions, she did a great job of getting to know my style and vision, and was very open to any feedback. I especially appreciated that she remembered so many details from the trial session to make sure everything was just right on my wedding day. Both mothers were hesitant with doing make-up (especially during COVID), but Alicia made them feel so comfortable and she was so attentive and patient with everything. Communication was also so easy and smooth with Alicia.  She responded quickly to all my emails and was very punctual to all our appointments. Alicia did the most amazing job for my wedding. She was extremely easy to work with, receptive to feedback, punctual and just a great person all around. I booked her for a trial, which I highly recommend. It allowed me to see how the makeup and hair stayed for the day, and to see if I wanted any changes (fuller lashes? more coverage? softer look?). Alicia also came the following week to do my HMU for our family/cultural ceremony. I loved how thoughtful she was in giving a different look for the different events. She did HMU for the mothers as well. She was very thoughtful and asked beforehand what kind of style and look they wanted. She really cares about making people happy and has exquisite attention to detail. Both hair and makeup stayed on the entire night and I had 0 issues at both events. Honestly, I didn't think I could look so beautiful!!! I've had my hair and makeup done in the past and this was by far the best experience and happiest I've ever been. You can't go wrong with Alicia! Alicia was a pleasure to work with and made me feel like a princess during my engagement shoot in early March.  I loved my makeup and hair so much and will definitely use her in the future!  She is very professional, gave me great advice ( I was unsure of colors and thiings like that ) and was very safe with covid.   My hair is very unruly and uncooperative and my  down-do style still made it through a windy sf day of shooting. This review is long overdue! Alicia truly made a wedding in covid (December 2020) a dream come true. Due to covid, I only had my hair and makeup done. I did not have a bridal party or have my mom or MIL in attendance.Working with Alicia is like spending time with your best girlfriend. She has a calm and friendly energy that puts you right at ease. Alicia is super communicative at all steps, especially leading up to the big day (which is helpful because I can have a "reply" in my mind and not hit 'send' -- kind of like this review! I'm finally hitting send!). Pre-planning included sending an album to her of hair and makeup ideas and a video call to discuss what I had in mind for my big day. I had previously looked at Alicia's IG and YT and knew I was in the perfect hands. In fact, I did not even schedule a makeup/hair trial, which I know is recommended when you're finding your hair and makeup person! (I was also planning on shortened time). All to say, I knew I could trust Alicia! (and brides, please DO YOU and get that trial if you need it!)  Leading up to the big day came with a few challenges during covid (to say the least), and Alicia was flexible through it all and we made it to the big day! On the day she asked I arrive with a mask on and she took covid steps to the Nth level - sanitizing her hands, makeup and tools as every stage and of course she was wearing a face mask and shield as well. She got me done on time to give me time to get ready for our pictures. TL;DR: I LOVED my hair and makeup and thoroughly enjoyed my time with Alicia!
