Took my 14 year old and my 7year old with her best friend for lunch today. It was amazing! The small girls wanted a fancy lunch. Hot chocolate was incredibly tasty. The tomato salad was to die for. The staff was great and accommodated my Gastroparesis by allowing me to change their great tasting Chicken Street Taco plate. The chef was nice and added a fourth taco as I cant eat much and left off the cilantro. I also asked them to substitute coffee and almond milk in the White Mocha and it was awesome to drink.

What an exceptional establishment in the heart of downtown Mckinney! � I treated the ladies from church today for a Mothers Day luncheon, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time! The food was delicious, the manager SO NICE!....the service impeccable and they presented some of the coolest latte art we’ve ever seen! � Every one of us had such a great time in a relaxed atmosphere. We just left the restaurant after having Easter Brunch. What a fantastic experience!! The owner visited our table and shared some wonderful desserts with our children. My husband and I just had brunch at Layered in beautiful downtown McKinney.....excellent. I cannot complain about one thing. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is cozy. The service attentive and we had a great conversation with the owner. We both had the Layered breakfast with eggs, breakfast meat, tomato salad (2nd to none!), toast/bagel with homemade jam, and fabulous coffee!

Also, as good as the breakfast was the owner was kind enough to treat us to a taste of one of their bakery products, the coffee cake cupcake......OH MY was it ever delicious!!!!! Best ever! Not a bit dry (like some coffee cakes) so creamy and topped off with a yummy cinnamon icing.

We had to then buy some other flavors to go, chocolate with chocolate icing, wedding cake cupcake, and of course another coffee cake cupcake. You won’t be disappointed! We WILL be back! P.S. they also make amazing custom cakes for all occasions. More...
