My wife and I went to Daniel Smith's office searching for their professional advise on our political asylum case. We are from Venezuela, and Daniel Smith and James Hayes told us that they had never had a case of political asylum from Venezuela before. However, their honesty was very important to us from the beginning and showed professionalism from them. We liked that very much, and the fact that James became an expert on Venezuelan issues was impressive to us.Daniel and James were open and flexible to our schedule, so it was easy to make appointments at their office to meet with them. They always replied to my emails promptly, no matter how many I had sent, as well as my phone calls. As I mentioned before, James became an expert on the Venezuelan political crisis, tortures, death squads (FAES and Colectivos), corruption, and everything that had to do with Venezuela.A week before our appointment at the USCIS's office for the political asylum, we met with James for almost three hours to discuss the upcoming interview. The day of the interview, James arrived on time and he stayed next to us during the whole process. It meant so much to our family that he was there by our side.I received a phone call from James five weeks after the interview. He was very excited to inform me that the political asylum had been granted, his exact words "We won the case, the asylum was granted!" My family and I have no enough words to thank Daniel and James for their effort, professionalism, and support that they provided to us in order to achieve our political asylum. Having already lived in the states as a permanent resident alien for many years, with a wife and daughters, I wanted to process to go smooth and without any unnecessary surprises, and hiring and working with Dan was the smartest thing that I did. Every step of the way they were there. Answering my emails, either later that same day, or first thing the next day.
