Three years ago my neighbor gave me a gift of a facial with Maggie at Lavish Skin. Â I live in San Francisco, but didn't mind visiting Burlingame for this special treat. Â The first thing I noticed about Maggie's salon is how clean and meticulous it is, with a very relaxing feel to it. Â She evaluates your skin carefully and doesn't try to convince you to purchase anything that isn't relevant to your unique skincare. Â She's honest about what can and cannot be accomplished with skin treatments. Â She's also clear about whether a dermatologist would be a better option for certain concerns. Â She impresses me as remaining up to date on product ingredients and new information on dermatology, as well. Â I recently received a facial that left my skin glowing and exceptionally clean, and her recommendation for a cleansing product that is gentle, effective and not quite as expensive other products I've used. I have known Maggie for many years and always loved her Not only does she take the time to get to know you, and your skincare routine but she's extremely professional, knowledgeable and great at her job! I have gone to her for facials both in my teens and now in my early 30s and she's helped me through various cycles of my skin's needs. This is a long overdue review. I have been seeing Maggie for 5 + years now and can vouch that she is a great esthetician. I have followed her from her previous location to this one . I get brazilian, underarm, arm waxing from her and she always delivers optimal service. She is gentle, quick and detailed. I would not trade Maggie even if I moved 30 miles away (I did). I've known Maggie for several years & she's an exceptionally, great aesthetician as well as a wonderful person. She's taken amazing care of my sensitive skin with revitalizing facials & always gives me banging eyebrows. Maggie does an amazing facial! Â I'll definitely be recommending her to all of my friends. Â She started with the most relaxing massage and was asking me in depth questions about my facial care, she recommended changes that I will definitely be making. Â She went one step further than most esthiticians and used an electrode to help the products penetrate deeper. She was thorough but gentle. Â I couldn't have been happier. There simply aren't enough good things I could say about Maggie! She is literally the best of the best. I started going to her when I was in college and suffering (literally) with painful cystic acne. I would come to her in tears and leave feeling so relieved and refreshed. Fast forward 5 years later and I still see her regularly. My cystic acne is completely gone, and not only does Maggie spoil me but she has taught me to truly care for my skin even when I am at home. Maggie has been my esthetician for over 10 years now. Â After many successful years at the Equinox Spa, she now has her own cozy space in the heart of Burlingame Avenue. My skin looks and feels great, especially at my age (mid 50's) and I owe a good deal of this to my monthly visits to Maggie. Â "Now, I'm going to spoil you". Â And she does! Â Wonderful facials, great waxing - bikini waxing is about as painfree as possible and I've yet to have bumps or breakouts following a waxing.I can't recommend her highly enough!
