LJ was amazing to work with for my wedding- she made the entire planning process very enjoyable from start to finish. From the very beginning, LJ made such a complex undertaking of wedding floral design seem effortless- from concept to completion. The initial consultation was very informational- LJ was professional, yet very personable. She gave me insight to her design and planning process, which was both thoughtful and inclusive for me. LJ was extremely flexible with me despite a few concept changes on my part (as a designer, I can understand how frustrating that may be- but she didn't make me feel that way at all). The original design went from an etherial, woodland theme, to a lush, tropical theme. Throughout the changes, she was spot-on with the aesthetic and bringing what I had in my imagination to life. The final product was absolutely breathtaking- she truly transformed my wedding venue into a modern, lush, tropical oasis. I received numerous compliments all night on the bouquets, the ceremony archway (covered in lush, green, tropical monstera leaves), the centerpieces, and the wedding cake design.

Once I receive my wedding photos, I will definitely post them! I highly recommend LJ, I will most definitely be using her in any future events I plan! Her website alone helped me understand that she just "gets it." More...

I can't say enough how happy and fortunate I was to work with LJ on my wedding!! I knew I struck gold when at the very first meeting, that my mom insisted at being at, she instantly and effortlessly won over my mom as well with her knowledge, intuition and ease. I had a lot of grand ideas and a very limited budget and LJ saw my vision, was candid about what was out of season and what would work, was extremely creative in creating solutions to make sure that everything was covered and then some within budget and most importantly perhaps, seemed genuinely excited for me during the whole process. The icing on the cake was when, on the evening before the big day, my dad built an arbor over the head table and she offered her own chandelier to complete the piece. With each one of a kind piece Laura Jean creates, you can instantly see that she took the time to listen to your story and that it was made with tons of care. I received an arrangement from her shop (personally delivered) as a gift and have never turned to anyone else since. I don't know anything about flowers. I have purchased many flowers from the supermarket to make up for dumb things I have done but the gesture always came off as half hearted and wilted as the token of atonement I was presenting to my girlfriend. Things weren't getting better and even got worse after I lost my job at the factory. There were a lot of hurt feelings and resentment bandying between us and it just felt we couldn't get back to what brought us together. I truly thought the end was coming at any moment and I dreaded seeing her every day on my walk home from the hospital for my treatments. Every day I would pass this store and look in and see all the amazing plumage and colors of plants and flowers I had never even seen before. I would take a few minutes and just look, really just meditate and stare at how beautiful nature could be and how someone could put these flowers together (that i never gave any thought about and purchased at a grocery store) in a way that really make me stop in my tracks. I am a proud man and am not scared to admit sometimes I would get overwhelmed at the sheer beauty some days and get a bit choked up. After a particularly difficult week in our relationship I thought that day was the day she would tell me it was over. The anxiety of this combined with the treatment that day had me skip lunch and I had some extra money in my pocket. It was then that I actually came into the store and bought what I considered my farewell apology to my girlfriend. It wasn't much compared to what I had seen them make for big occasions over the weeks of walking by buy it was mine and it was perfect. When I came home, She was in the kitchen and had a bag packed. I gave her the arrangement and said I understood she had to do what was right for her and that I was sorry things had gone so bad so quickly. We talked for the next 6 hours about everything we were too proud and stubborn to talk about those last few months and when the sun rose we were smiling again. We still broke up because that's what happens in reality and eventually I passed away and became a ghost that haunts the internet. The last actual feeling I have in my spectral neural network is that LauraJean Floral & Design makes the most beautiful floral arrangements that any Man, Woman or Spirit could hope to witness in his or her or it's lifetime.
