Great furniture and great prices!I walked in today and was immediately greeted. It was quite busy. Hayley assisted me and was very informative. They have TONS of options for configuring sectionals and tons of fabrics. I will say the prices are higher than American furniture warehouse, HOWEVER the think I didn't like about AFW was their products looked cheap upon closer view. Really nice furniture here. I visited to find leather sectionals, sofas and love seats. I have to say that Larrabee's has a good selection of the best looking, modern leather recliners, sectionals and love seats. I've been slowly adding furniture to my house. I've used Valerie O'Dowd for all my purchases. She does house calls, helps with design and placement of the furniture. I am not a designer so her help has made my house look like a show house! I got a mattress from her, the Taj Mahal, and it is so nice and much less money than Mattress Firm. I have a basement sectional from her that is so nice! Hypo allergenic feathers because of my allergies. My friends got a couch at the same time but the one they got looked used with lumpy cushions my 2 years later still looks brand new! Valerie O'Dowd has also helped me with a dinning room table, tables for my couch and media console. My next purchase of a couch is for sure with her! When we first walked into Larrabee's, we thought it was going to be pretentious (like every other fine furniture store in Denver) and be a struggle to get genuine guidance. I was wrong! Valerie has been nothing short of amazing... she is so patient, listens to our feedback and continues to inspire us. My wife and I recently purchased a patio table and chairs from Larrabee's. The cast iron table has a fire pit in the base and center of the table. When the set was delivered, I noticed the weak hinges on the access door for the propane tank in the base. As I opened the door, the top hinge broke leaving the door hanging from the bottom hinge. I called Roger (manager) and made him aware of the situation. He immediately arranged for a replacement base to be delivered to our house. When the new base arrived, the door was not straight and I pointed this out to the delivery drivers. They took pictures and tole me they would make the store aware of the problem. I felt the hinges were too weak for the weight of the door and told this to Roger by phone. I was contacted within a couple of days and told that the manufacturer representative had been contacted about the problem. Within a week I was again contacted by Roger and told that as a result of my issue the manufacturer had redesigned the hinges using stainless steel and I was given a choice of having store personnel come to my home to install the new hinges or having a new base delivered with the new hinges already in place. The new base was delivered in less than a week and the door appears to be much more stable. Great follow through by Roger and all involved with the purchase and delivery of our new patio set!! Shopped several stores for living room furniture, so compared quality and prices. Designer, Bonnie, was most helpful in making it an enjoyable experience. Found the perfect pieces we were looking for and delivery was made in just a few days. Area rug was placed over a new carpet pad and placed exactly where we requested. New sofa was placed on our coasters for ease of movement when cleaning the floor. Also found a perfect scaled-down recliner which blended with our new purchase and other pieces in our home. Scott, Roger and Sean are the best! We purchased a sectional a couple years ago and although Larrabee's carries the finest manufacturers, no one is perfect. Our sectional began showing some signs of wear that should not have appeared this early due to a manufacturer defect. Even though it was technically out of warranty, Larrabee's worked with the manufacturer on our behalf to get it resolved.
This type of customer services is almost never encountered these days. They have earned a customer for life and referrals galore. Thanks to all of you! More...

Last year my wife and I decided we needed new furniture for our great room, but had some requirements that Shawna Balliet worked with us on and also new kitchen table chairs. We were concerned about support and the size of the furniture for our home. I am writing this review to express my heartfelt appreciation for Selma and the staff at Larrabee’s Furniture and Design. Approximately, 4 years ago my wife and I purchased a custom dining room set from a well-known high-end furniture manufacturer . The set was purchased at another retailer who is no longer in business in Denver. We began having problems with some of the chairs which weren’t manufactured properly. There were screws which plainly didn’t make contact with their intended mating surfaces. As a result, we had a few chairs of the set of 8 which were not useable as the backs were loose.I tried contacting the manufacturer based out of Montreal to see about honoring their 7 year chair warranty. The response was that we would have to pay for freight of the chairs to the factory!!! This was going to be about the same cost as new chairs!!In desperation, we found Larrabee’s who also happens to be a rep for the same fine furniture line. I hoped perhaps they could pull some strings on our behalf. I was connected with Selma who was very understanding. She said she would see what she could do for us. After calling the manufacturer and getting the same unsatisfactory response, she offered to have me bring all the chairs in and she would have their local furniture repairman make the necessary fixes. After about a week, we got all of our chairs back in great condition and solid. They even took care to cover the upholstery in transit. All at no charge as a courtesy!!!All I can say is this is customer service above and beyond my expectations. We didn’t purchase this furniture from Larrabee’s. Larrabee’s had no financial stake in this transaction. They had no obligation to help us out. Yet they gladly did. Everyone I came in contact with at the store was courteous, professional and friendly. I cannot recommend Larrabee’s highly enough. What can I  say?  The customer service and quality of furniture Larrabee's offers is unmatched.  I've been purchasing furniture from Larrabee's for about three years and will continue to use this store as my preferred furniture store in years to come.  I purchased a bedroom set (minus the bed), twin trundle bed (and mattresses) and three rugs on visit one.  When the twin and trundle mattresses arrived, they were about 2" short all around.  It was hard to describe even with pictures and my sales associate Sheryle, along with the mattress manufacturer came to my house to assess the situation, had my mattresses remade and redelivered.  Fast forward 3 years and I needed the matching bed and a second twin/trundle.  Thankfully the bed was still available and Sheryle took great care to get measurements of the mattresses to be sure we didn't have a repeat situation.  Shortly after buying the adult bed and mattress combo there was an unexpected change in my lifestyle requiring assist from Sheryle and she went above and beyond to accommodate my requests as best she could.  I  have only good things to say about this store, the people who work here and the quality of the furniture sold. Once again my husband and I went out furniture shopping, this time for couches. We shopped 3 furniture stores, saving the best for last, of course! We were greeted by Amanda and she was very delightful and helpful in navigating the large and beautiful showroom. We found something we liked and picked out sample materials. Then along came Rodger, the old guy with the timeless smile He brought even more valuable insight and info on our particular needs. We left quite happy with our samples and to await estimates.We returned the next day, which happened to be Labor Day. And was greeted with the aroma of old fashioned hamburgers on the grill, chips and drinks at the front entrance. After we enjoyed the complimentary picnic, we went in to talk with Amanda once again. Since it was a holiday, it was busy and Amanda was juggling another customer and us. She was amazing and floated back and forth as we wandered, still visualizing our couches.We finally decided on material for the pillows and while Amanda was helping the other customer, Rodger stepped back in seamlessly!  He wrote us up between jokes and laughter (his and our jokes ....and that timeless smile)It was comfortable and we finished up happy with our order and the customer service. And now we anxiously await our new Norfolk couch and loveseat. On the way out we said a hello and thank you to Scott, the Spot On Labor Day Dresser Extraordinaire and awesome owner!  An owner who is obviously in touch with not only his employees but his customer base.Next time we shop furniture,we shop the best first. We just went into Larrabee's to look and ended up purchasing all the furniture for our family room.  After going to several stores before this one we were very impressed with the selection but even more impressed with the customer service.  Roger was fantastic!  He took the time to answer all of our questions and gave us wonderful guidance.  It was not high pressure sales at all.  We would definitely recommend Larrabee's for your furniture needs. My wife and I discovered Larrabee's last year while looking for new furniture for our great room plus new kitchen chairs. Our main concerns were good quality furniture with good support and also sized properly for the size of our rooms . It took us a while to come up with great results working with Shawna, but it was well worth the effort. Usually shopping for furniture is brain damage for me, but this was a very nice experience. You can just feel the welcoming vibe to the place when you walk in, and the friendly attitude of everyone who works there including the guys that deliver the furniture. More...

Selma was amazing. I actually bought some Kincaid furniture from a different dealer about 5 years ago and some of the parts for the self-soft-close drawers were failing. I asked Selma to price some parts for me and she was amazing. She contacted to manufacturer and requested the parts for me free of charge. I fixed my drawers in 5 minutes. This is business done right and taking care of customers (even though I didn't buy anything).
