Fantastic authentic Mexican food, great portions. I don't love the area, since it's right under the subway. It can be a little bit loud but the food is worth it. I had Chilaquiles verdes con chorizo y huevo. A side of pancakes with strawberry and bananas. All tasted authentically amazing! Oh, Agua de horchata is a must! More...

This restaurant is one of the worst restaurants we ever ate at. The food is super heavy, full of oil and cream till you can't taste the actual food. Extremely salty as well. Anything this place can do to cover up really bad taste. Also it says that the fries are cut there, this is a lie. Don't waste your hard earned money on this place. More...

I am a good palate when it comes to savoring, identifying the freshness and quality of the ingredients, this place without a doubt and I hope they maintain that high standard is one of the best in Queens and I dare say that of many other places.  They were right in every dish I ordered from the starters to the main dishes !!  Simply delicious and to complement this review I must congratulate the Bartender for such excellent flavored drinks and presentation, it is true that you feel in one of those good restaurants in Mexico for the flavors that you find there.  Thanks also to Luis my waiter and his colleagues as they work as a team, for their good and kind attention.  for all this I rate this restaurant with 5 stars. I've been to Laly's many times now, have tried several menu items which have all been good and have always had friendly and helpful service.  I highly recommend the street corn, the cemita burger and their chilaquiles.  Their drinks are amazing, too.  The frozen margarita with real, homemade chamoy is delicious.  I can't believe this place isn't more popular, I consider it one of the best in Jackson Heights and one of the best Mexican places in NYC. Probably my favorite restaurant in Jackson Heights. Their cemita burger was amazing and I'm totally ordering this again. I usually have low expectations when I order Micheladas anywhere in New York and I was really surprised. The sauce and spices they used were on point. I'm definitely coming back to this place. Great customer service and the staff is really friendly. Oh and the margarita with homemade chamoy blew me away! It's a must try. More...

The food here never disappoints. It's always fresh and well prepared. The burgers are huge and honestly you need to try one. Laly's black bean veggie burger was one of the best I've ever had. The Mexican items from the menu will make you fall in love with the cuisine. i recommend the shrimp and eggs over refired-bean stuffed tortillas, a definite upgrade to plain ol' huevos rancheros. Facing the bar in the back, the clear window view on the right side is ok but it just faces the street so it's nothing to enjoy. Best fish tacos I've had outside of Mexico. The fish is fried but not greasy at all, mixed with shredded lettuce, red cabbage, carrots, a touch of mango, aioli, and served on a single tortilla. Satisfying and fresh.  One order comes with three tacos. I've been known to order two orders for dinner. My husband loves the chorizo mac n cheese and it is indeed delicious but it's so rich that I can only have a couple bites. There's like at least three types of cheese in it so if you love thick gooey melty cheese then it's definitely your jam.  We've ordered a few times during the lockdown and our orders are always correct and prompt. Looking forward to going for a sit-down meal (brunch!) here when we can! More...

I actually went here about a month ago, probably a week prior to social distancing, but I felt the need to put this up, as I miss my Yelp community. I'm sure I reflect the same sentiment as my fellow yelpers.... it is hard out there..... Not being able to go out to places I Iove is depressing, but my baby boy is coming and I cannot put wifey and growing family at risk. That being said, let's get to the review.Lalys gives you that authentic Mexican side as well as a more modern take on brunch. I knew it will be awhile that I will be dining out, so I made sure I needed to eat big. It did not disappoint. Look at em pics...delicious!! I love that one can have the option of two different menus. Pretty cool! Also the service was speedy and on point. When we finally get some sort of normalcy, Laly's is a great spot to check out in Jackson Heights. My Yelpies be safe and take care!! More...

I would rate Laly's as 4 stars or "Yay! I'm a fan" as Yelp would say. I came here for brunch and was pleased with my meal. I started with the biscuits and I will say that the biscuits are absolutely delicious. I loved them they are most definitely worth ordering. For our brunch entrees we ordered the short ribs eggs Benedict and the steak and eggs. The short rib was delicious, it was a hearty dish that will most definitely leave you satisfied. The steak on the other hand was not as delicious as the short rib. In fact it was rather disappointing. I love Mexican food and I would love to come back here for dinner but I would not order the steak I would stick to chicken, seafood or short rib. Although we didn't enjoy the steak we did enjoy everything else so I don't want to completely cancel this place out. If you are in the Jackson Heights area at the very least stop by and get a biscuit! More...

Great neighbourhood addition! I've lived in Jackson Heights all my life and I'm so excited to see places like Laly's now opening around this area. It took me a while to stop in and now I regret not going sooner. In the past month I've been there 3 times already and each time they've delivered. The service is friendly, quick and accommodating and the place is comfortable, open and well kept. Lastly and always most importantly is the food - absolutely delicious! We've ordered different drinks, came for both brunch and dinner and each time, we left extremely content. I love fish tacos which are a hard find in NYC unless you're paying like $8 a taco. Laly's fish tacos are SO. Good. Are they fancy schmancy? No. But it is spot-on, simply delicious. I've gotten them every time I've gone and will continue to do so until I become a fish taco. My husband is not as ridiculous as me so he's gotten some brunch items like the burger, the cemita and the fish dinner. And yes, everything was delicious so I'm left to believe that whatever you're craving, you can't go wrong.I love finding places like Laly's -  great, easy neighbourhood establishments that are just right - perfectly balanced in terms of service, food, value and comfort. If you live around the area and you have yet to visit, don't be a fool like me. Stop by and I guarantee you you won't regret it! More...

I was most excited to try the burger - which is instagram awesome and have heard lots of raves about it. I actually thought it was just okay! They have a ton of flavors going on there and it definitely has a backyard bbq taste to it - smokey with American cheese... it's probably the most deluxe backyard bbq burger you'll ever have. I think the burger could be more juicy itself and maybe that is bc they are trying too hard with the grass-fed burger. I'd just try for juicy one. I do think there is a cultural difference in burgers, though, as most Americans south of Texas prefer burgers on the non-red side. So whatever. The fries were excellent, almost a twin of All-American in Long Island. Chilaquiles and tacos are great and priced about the highest in the neighborhood. It really isn't expensive on the grand scheme of things but for the neighborhood, it is quite high. That's $12 for 3 tacos. Really, it's fine and I shouldn't even care bc we are in an actual restaurant and not outside with the elements... so I won't care but I had to share it. Would I come back? I might with my brother and his family. I might if there was one particular item I heard about that was supposed to be outstanding. This place would do great if it were transplanted near Times Square. Tourists would LOVE the food and the prices here are fine for that. They really are trying and it shows. More...
