Do you want to have dinner at a place with a Vibe? This place is alway popping. Located in Lahaina near the coastline, this restaurant is something special. Make sure to get your reservations in well in advance as this popular spot fills up on a nightly basis. Food: 5 Stars Ambiance: 5 Stars Service: 5 StarsBesides the food, ambiance, and service.... Something of note is the decor. Your basically dining in an art gallery. The walls are adorned with lovely art pieces.The bar will be packed. It will be loud.Kids - I would say 13 and up. We had an excellent dinner at Lahaina Grill during our last trip to Maui. This is my favorite restaurant in West Maui and it can be hard to get a table, so book in advance. I've been coming here since it was still David Paul's. The bar is loud so you might ask for a table in the next room if possible. Honestly, it could not have been any better and I have nothing bad to say. It's expensive even for Maui, but the quality more than justifies the price. I had the seared Ahi and my wife had the firecracker shrimp. Both were better than expected. The road to Hana dessert is also a must order if you like chocolate, and well presented. Pricey for sure, but service was excellent and food was good -worth it. We seen the owner come around to greet customers and seem to avoid the locals and went towards the tourists. They do acknowledge your anniversary and they do picture taking to capture your special occasion l at their restaurant which is cool and was unexpected. They' emailed our pictures for free and did not cost additional. Our server was good. He didn't see us as just locals and provided excellent service, very professional. I made a last-minute reservation for Lahaina Grill through American Express Concierge and was pleased to secure a table for dinner. The restaurant is situated right off Front Street in Lahaina, but finding free parking can be a challenge. Paid parking is available a block behind Front Street, with a current rate of $5/hr.We were seated at a window table, which offered a nice view of the street. While the service was solid, I expected a bit more attentiveness from a higher-end restaurant. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly, but could have checked in on us more frequently. Additionally, we had to wait about 10 minutes after being seated before our server came over.For appetizers, we split the Baby Romaine Caesar Salad and Wagyu Beef Ravioli. The Caesar Salad had a strong anchovy flavor that didn't suit my taste, but others might enjoy it. The Ravioli, on the other hand, was delicious! The black truffle flavor in the sauce was prominent, and even our kids devoured it.Moving on to the main course, we ordered the center cut certified Angus beef filet mignon, slow-braised boneless short rib, and porcini-portobello mushroom ravioli with a side of roasted sweet corn. Of all the dishes, the filet mignon was the best followed by the ravioli. The filet was cooked to perfection and was very tender, while the ravioli was bursting with flavor. The short ribs were good, but not particularly outstanding.While the food tasted great, the presentation of the dishes was just okay. It seemed like the dishes had been sitting in the oven for a while, perhaps to keep them warm while they finished other dishes in the kitchen.Overall, Lahaina Grill is a solid option for dinner on Maui, especially considering the limited food options on the island. However, be prepared to spend a bit more as the dishes are on the pricier side. Expect to pay around $100+ per person for an appetizer and a main course. We went to celebrate my birthday and had a reservation. We were sat right away. Great service and the owner was on site greeting tables! Great wine/liquor offerings and cocktails. Husband got the daily special which was a pork chop...DELICIOUS! I had the filet mignon which melted in my mouth. They took a picture of us because we were there celebrating my birthday and emailed it out and I got a birthday card. Nice touches. Then we were given a birthday dessert which was delicious and perfectly ended our meal. There is a reason they were rated #1 fine dining restaurant in 2022! They bring the heat with the food and drinks and then 1 up the class level you'd expect! Will recommend this restaurant to any friends or family coming to Maui. Came highly recommended by a colleague that ironically hadn't dinned here, as they have a young child. We were very lucky to get the reservation we did and jumped on it! Place is absolutely beautiful with stunning artwork on the walls with Sinatra and others from that era playing in the background. Our server Richard was incredible! He had great suggestions. We decided to get the Chili Rellano with Tiger Prawns and scallops. This was split for us in the kitchen. Presentation was great and crispy coating on the fresh pepper was really tasty. We then got the coffee crusted rack of lamb. Again split for us. Great presentation and it cut like butter. Served with the roasted garlic. It was fantastic. Our experience coming here during our stay in Maui was amazing. It's a must for all visitors! The ambiance and atmosphere was welcoming and made the dinner that much more enjoyable, from the start! We ordered a lot to try and everything killed expectations. The wagyu ravioli was a highlight as an appetizer. Aside from this, the onion soup, chowder and cocktails were a home run. The scallops and crab cake were also great selections before diving into the key lime pie martini as dessert (highly recommend drinking your dessert if you're too full to order the dessert sampler, which we wish we had room to order as we were teased seeing multiple walk past our table during our dining experience).Can't wait to come back, definitely don't miss this spot when you're in Maui! We had a great dinner at Lahaina Grill! We had reservations and we ended up showing up about 20 minutes early and they were able to seat us right away! We had planned on doing the tasting menu but unfortunately they are not offering it right now.We instead got a couple appetizers and split the fish special that was super tasty!
