Laura was so much fun to work with - she was able to get my 3 year old boy and 6 month old girl to smile and have a lot of fun during our annual family shoot! She delivered the photos in such a quick turnaround (a couple days) bc she knew that we needed them for holiday cards. The pricing was great, and even on short notice! Laura Ruane is a fabulous photographer and an exceptional woman. My children and I felt relaxed during our photo shoots. She so easily kept everything light and fun and at the same time was able to get the children to smile and pose at just the right moments, which I seem to never be able to accomplish! I found La Rue Photography from one of my best friends, who just so happens to be her cousin. I instantly fell in love with the way Laura is able to capture people's lives, special moments, and emotions through a camera. So far we've been blessed to have Laura with us through two amazing milestones in our life- our first Christmas together just months before we got married, and our son's first birthday. These are moments we treasure, and ones we are now luckily enough to remember through pictures forever. Both of our sessions have been though "minis" that had short session times with major results. And the scenery? AMAZING. One year was at a beautiful pond, and the next at a Christmas tree farm. Our session at the Christmas Tree Farm had props that included a Santa scene, a candy cane stand, and a comfy lounge spot with pillows! Every detail was beautiful and perfect, and was able to make our busy one year old's photos easy, enjoyable, and fun. Laura took beautiful pictures for our daughter's first birthday. She spent a lot of time scoping out the best sites at Oregon Ridge park and thoughtfully planned out the props to use for the shoot. We found Laura at one of our friend's weddings from a few years ago and still remembered her when we started planning our wedding last year. We are so happy we selected Laura as our photographer! She was very energetic, genuine, and got along with everyone. I can't say enough how much I LOVE the work Laura does! We have used her for both our wedding and anniversary and college graduation pictures! For our wedding, we were in such a bind with having already talked with a photographer that was half the price and also provided us with half the service. I contacted her just two months in advance and she was able to make herself available to do our wedding. She not only took the most beautiful photos, but truly took her time and provided us with so many edits and versions of each photo. To this day, I am still so grateful that we went with her! We were so pleased that a year later we had her take our anniversary photos. I was graduating college the same time and wanted a few graduation photos. She not only took photos that I had requested and got them to me a day later because I needed them for a gift, but she found pictures online for us to do that turned out so cute. She is extremely professional, very creative, punctual, and such a joy to be with. Our boys actually look forward to getting their pictures taken when they hear that Laura is taking them, and that's the true test for us! I cannot say enough good things about her body of work.
