If I could leave a 0 stars I would have. LaShona seemed great. Wedding was ruined she was 30 minutes late. Some people got raw chicken and it came lukewarm at best. She didn’t bring help to set up we had wedding guest helping her bring her stuff in and set up. We were supposed to get tea and lemonade which we only got lemonade. She also had an attitude with my guest who were helping her as if it was their fault she was late. I literally asked if she was providing the warmers to keep the food warm which she said she would but then did not. We didn’t get enough shrimp for 70 people yet alone the 55 we actually had. I am sorry your experience was so but while I was there you enjoyed your food. I have pictures of you eating and others enjoying the food. I thought it was a bad idea for me to set up after the wedding but you insisted. I emailed and text you several times to get your logistics and you replied 2 and 3 days later. I got stopped by the police what was I to do. I have never ever served raw food. If you wanted to mediate this situation this is the first time you ever expressed any dissatisfaction. Again I took pictures of the food and of you and the guests while eating. I was grateful for the help and never had an attitude with anyone. You said that the venue had warmers. The best way to have resolved this was to call me or text. I asked you at the wedding if you were satisfied and you said everything looked good. I wish you well on your new marriage but this was not the way to resolve any issue you may have. This could have been smoother if you had hired a coordinator and had servers. When you dont have servers you run the risk of people taking more than their share. I left you with Seconds on everything. This is why I take pictures and video so when customers say I didn't do something I have proof.

LaShona and her team pulled off an amazing event to celebrate my 50th birthday in less than two weeks. The food and decorations were absolutely phenomenal and not only would I use them again, I highly recommend them to anyone else.

It didn't take me more than a second to see that my daughter had made a tremendously right decision in choosing L and M to cater incredibly fine food for my husband's Going Home event when he joined his Heavenly Hosts. My daughter's decision was beyond trust. LaShona Patton-Jones listened intently to my daughter's request -- "Something simple," daughter said. "Finger foods for 50." But there was also wine and beer, fruit and shrimp wrapped in pasta. Also, greens, carrots and desserts, chicken, beef and joy and delight at the end of the Celebration of his Life. Listening and understanding the needs and desires of the order are imperative. Discussion on both ends is necessary for the caterer and the purchaser. Add to that the fact that both L and M know how to cook -- for real -- and offer their absolute best. Ours was a simple request, but my understanding is that if something is edible, L and M can make it. American, Jamaican, Chinese, Mexican, Italian. Daughter made an excellent choice. To say I was very happy with L and M Catering doesn't describe my experience. They were a gift. From the moment I met the owner, LaShona, I knew that everything would come together for my father's celebration of life. Although I had requested light hors d'oeuvres (finger foods) and drinks, L and M went above and beyond, providing cheese and crackers, beautiful fruit and vegetable trays, and even hot, delicious food that our guests raved about. On a side note, LaShona also sings beautifully. We had not yet hired a singer, so I asked if she would like to sing a hymn during the service. It nearly brought me to tears. L & M catering catered my grandmother’s 90th birthday celebration and it was great! Prices were reasonable, service was professional, and the food was plentiful and delicious! They offer many great menu options and can customize it to meet your needs! The owner was so understanding when we had to initially reschedule the event due to the pandemic. I was pleasantly surprised for my birthday with a lavish bash and great food from L and M Catering. The service was superb and food delicious. I will use them again.

After working with a good amount of caterers on super high quotes we were super happy and super relieved to find L and M Catering. My family was ready to try and cook for my wedding. LaShona is absolutely amazing and our personal food hero. She answers me back very quickly. Within hours of contacting her we had an in person meeting set up. Our meeting was super fun! She is am amazing person who does a lot of community work around Baltimore and cares about the people who she welcomes into her life.
