I recently planned a destination wedding for my daughter from Boston and reserved K'Syrah for the rehearsal dinner.  I had the pleasure of speaking to Danielle about the need for vegetarian, nut free food, and no cheese options in addition to the regular menu choices for the dinner and she confidently ensured me that the accommodations would not be a problem.  Our family visited K'Syrah for a pre site visit and taste test which was amazing.  The K' Syrah venue is warm and welcoming, perfect for a celebration.  The food is truly fresh, delicious and beautifully presented.  Danielle spent a great amount of time with our family at the tasting and we were delighted to have the opportunity to meet and speak to the very talented chef.  The day of the rehearsal dinner was perfect.  Our guests raved about the food which was delicious, plentiful, and served by an amazing staff. Our wedding planner said this to us, "I'm going to give you a list of three caterers to try, and when you're done you're going to pick K'Syrah. " This was a huge presumption... that was proven absolutely true... To seal the deal,  Jimmy (the owner) even took my father in law to his actual farm to prove just how farm to table this farm to table catering actually is. We loved our menu and our entire experience with K'Syrah from the tasting to the wedding. The food looked gorgeous, tasted gorgeous and helped contribute to the best day of our lives. Today we were honored to attend a surprise retirement party at a catering company in Solvang, CA called K'Syrah Catering and Events.  First, the venue itself was delightful!  We felt very comfortable.  They had a fire in the fireplace, which made the atmosphere cozy and warm.  The staff members were very kind and friendly and passed around delicious appetizers while we waited for the main guest to arrive.  Lunch was over the top delicious!  There was slices of several different types of bread served with whipped butter; an arugula beet salad with I think goat cheese; roasted cauliflower; a melt in your mouth Orzo dish; baked salmon with a nice beautiful and flavorful crust - very moist I must add and a Wagyu tri tip that was so delicious and tender that I wish I would have taken another piece!!  Brooke Stockwell is the executive chef there and she did an amazing job creating one of the best meals we have had in a long time.  Danielle Dauphinee, Director of Events and Sales was very personable, sweet and kind and did a great job organizing and coordinating the event.  We enjoyed the venue and the food so much.  I highly recommend K'Syrah for any type of event.  They definitely know what they are doing. I have attended two events with K'Syrah in Solvang, and both of them were spectacular.  Firstly the food is amazing, Chef Brooke is fantastic at her craft.  Both events were put on by K'Syrah at their business in Solvang.  The second event I recently attended was their Harvest Dinner and it was fantastic!  There happened to be a transformer that blew out, and half of the town was without power.  This was not even a stressor for this team, this is what they do, cater and do pop up events in the middle of nowhere sometimes.  So they took the kitchen outside, and made a true pop up event, the event got held back just 30 mins, and boom like magic it was as if nothing had happened and the event went off without a hitch.  The food and wine pairings were delicious, and this event also featured Chef Demetri, as well as guest Chef Budi Kazali from The Gathering Table at the Ballard Inn.  What a treat to have 3 amazing chefs all serving their culinary delights under one roof!?!  If you ever get a chance to attend an event hosted by K'Syrah, I highly recommend it.  You will not come away disappointed, if anything you will come away, thinking up a way to have K'Syrah cater your next event! Truthfully, we don't know where to begin.  Danielle was our main contact throughout the planning process and she was an absolute pleasure to work with.  On the day of the wedding, we had the pleasure of working with Jon, Trisha and the rest of the crew. They were ALL incredibly professional, kind, and on top of it all from the moment they arrived.  Any questions or concerns we had, they were quick to answer and/or take care of. We were truly so impressed with how fast the crew was with setting up, clearing tables, and breaking down at the end of the evening.  Oh, and the food was EXCEPTIONAL!   If you're looking for a catering company that truly goes above and beyond to make sure their clients are 100% satisfied, go with K'Syrah!  You will not be disappointed. When you're planning your own wedding and working with multiple vendors, you want to make it as easy and simple as possible. Danielle and her staff at K'Syrah did just that. They go above and beyond, and most importantly they communicate effective and clearly. They understand the wedding planning process to the tee. I would hire Danielle again in a heart beat. We hired K'Syrah to cater our wedding in Santa Ynez. This was - hands down - one of the best decisions we made for our big day! The entire process of menu selection and coordination was seamless and super fun! Working with Danielle was fantastic. She was so organized and communicative leading up to our big day, offering suggestions and answering any questions that came up. On our actual wedding day, we heard from many of our guests that the food served was one of the best meals they have had and that it "shouldn't even be considered wedding food." Chef Brooke is incredibly talented and we can only hope to eat more of her food in the future! My father even gave her a standing ovation at the wedding after the meal was served.

K'Syrah also hosted our After Party at their kitchen/bar location in Solvang. Guests were able to come unwind and eat even more delicious food once the wedding was over. K'Syrah catered our daughters rehearsal dinner and wedding. I can't express how grateful I am to Danielle and staff! They are amazing and go above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. Danielle was always available to answer any and all questions I had. She is so knowledgeable about event planning, I just couldn't have done it without her. If I could give K'Syrah 10 stars I would. The food was amazing!!!! Every one raved about it. It was seriously the best thing about both events. We were not easy. We had a number vegans/vegetarians, and a number of allergies. We had our Sept wedding in their beautiful venue. We used the front patio as the ceremony area and their beautiful wooden door was the perfect backdrop of the ceremony with chairs down the sides. We had 50 guest and where going for a brunch wedding on a Sunday. After the ceremony we had a charcuterie and cold appetizers while we had pictures. Then we used the outside back patio for the buffet sit down brunch menu. Everything was amazing, Danielle was so responsive and open to all my ideas. I wanted it to feel more like a family brunch than wedding reception and they delivered just that. We had lamb on the spit which was deliciouse and they offered so many other brunch options like bacon, gazpacho and such. All the guest spoke about how delicious the food was and how much fun they had since nothing felt stiff. I did not have a wedding planner but in all sincerity I did not need one since Danielle was so great at helping me with my vision. She set up the ceremony pace and kept everything running smoothly the day off. She even brought me and my husband a plate of food because as she mentioned, "bride and groom forget to eat". She kept our champagne glasses full. We asked to set up board games inside for people to be entertained and the venue set up the games inside. I cannot say enough about this lovely venue and their delicious food with such unique food options.

I am SO happy that we held our post wedding brunch at K'Syrah.  We had stumbled upon it while venue hunting in the area, and thought it would make for the perfect location to host a brunch for our guests after the wedding, since most of them were staying locally in Solvang. We had our company Holiday party there & it was so good. The service was wonderful & the food was superb. The menu was chicken & prime rib  with beet salad, caesar salad & roasted cauliflower. Fresh breads & butter were available for those who needed their carbs..lol.. I can't believe how much I ate !! There was charcuterie to have with cocktails too. Our rehearsal dinner took place at Zaca Mesa Winery where K’Syrah prepared everything on site, provided the dinnerware and glassware, set up tables – everything looked beautiful. The dinner was served buffet style and we had a Santa Maria style BBQ - everything was delicious. With many of our guests coming from San Diego, we were 2 hours late to our rehearsal dinner, and had more people show up than the amount we planned. K’Syrah was able to work with us on the last minute time change and while they could add more food at that point, the amount they prepared was enough for all – we were very grateful.
The wedding reception was at K’Syrah’s location in Solvang is beautiful. At first we weren’t sure how the separate rooms would work, but Danielle worked with us to design the best table arrangement to make our guests feel welcome. The day before we dropped off our decorations (greenery garlands, small candles, large candles, some cute boards) and talked to Danielle and our wedding planner Katie about how and where we wanted it placed. We didn’t have to worry about anything on our wedding day and when we arrived to K’Syrah after our ceremony we couldn’t believe how beautiful everything looked! K’Syrah’s venue is already full of character and needs minimum décor, and with our decorations they were able to make it even more beautiful. They served food family style and throughout the night our guests were telling us that they had lots of food and that it was the most delicious wedding they’ve been to. There was never a line at the bar to get a drink, wait staff also took drink orders for our guests at the table.
K’Syrah’s pricing was more than reasonable, especially compared with many other wedding caterers and venues, and the quality of their service is outstanding! More...

Jimmy is a high-school friend of my husband, and when he invited us up to look at his new venue in Solvang for an option to host our wedding, we were absolutely thrilled. We had searched numerous venues in and around Long Beach, and thanks to Jimmy, we ended up with the perfect location, venue and wedding weekend we could have imagined. Jimmy and his team catered our Friday night cocktail reception at a winery as well as our Saturday evening wedding at K'Syrah. K'Syrah is absolutely beautiful; the layout worked wonderful as we utilized the outside for the ceremony, the inside for cocktails and dancing, and the covered outdoor patio for dinner. There was no need for a multitude of flowers or decorations because the venue was so naturally beautiful. Danielle and her team did a wonderful job using herbs to decorate the tables, that aligned with the fresh flowers and herbs growing around K'Syrah. The food: our guests are still raving about the food. Jimmy is a very talented Chef. I originally was concerned about the food for Friday night being too similar to Saturday night, but with Jimmy's guidance on food choices, and his expertise, it was just perfect. With Jimmy's farm fresh-to-table approach, we could not have been happier with the freshness and flavor of the all the food.
