Lara and Wolf have a really good thing going with Krakelen Pizza. These pizzas are perfect for those who want a really good traditional wood fire experience. They are also great for those of us, like me, who are homesick for true German “Fladenbrot” like they have in the German Christmas markets. Definitely worth the cost and the wait. the staff are extremely pleasant and considerate. before ordering I was warned that it would be a 45 minute wait. it was fine, I had seen that it was a good sized portion and wasn't overly starved yet. Then they added me to their wait list, by which they text you when you're order is ready, so that there is no crowd around their booth, mix-ups of orders being taken out of turn, as well as the fact that you can go chill with your friends/ family while you wait. anyway, my order is ready and I go to pickup my order, and they offered me a soda on the house for having to wait so long. but the food was great! there was no pausing when I was eating....I kept eating until it was gone. the crust was fluffy and wonderful, and very unique. Had Krakelen at the Dark Days Festival at Mazama Brewing. I arrived early before my volunteer shift so I could eat and had their Spicy Signature Pizza which was awesome.
