This is our second time eating here. And it is as good as I remembered. The vietnamese food is very flavorful and cooked well. We started off with the papaya salad which is a bit sweeter than normal Thai salads. But very fresh and crunchy with peanuts. I got the bo lu lac (beef) which is stir fry beef on top of watercress. It was delicious. I only wished for more lime because one sliver of lime wasn't enough for dipping sauce. My husband got the deluxe pho the one that has the beef and tendon etc. It was okay he said but just a bit too salty for him. We also got the pan friend noodles with seafood also delicious and lots of seafood and fish balls. Lastly they are kid friendly, which is a plus because we haven't found that many kid friendly restaurants lately. More...

First time here and this is definitely going to be our new sushi spot. SOOO GOOD! We got veggie tempura, pork belly skewer, steamed dumplings, lotus roll, surf and turf roll, paradise roll, and then the coffee mochi. We probably won't get the veggie tempura again but not bc it was bad, it just wasn't anything special. Everything else... amazing. It was so good that we ended up ordering 2 more orders of the pork belly skewers and an order of the chicken pad thai to go. Service was good, the vibe of the restaurant is good. This was my first visit to Koy Restaurant and I am excited to say it was a really great find! It’s close to home and I really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and delicious food. Went here for the first time and I'm impressed. The waitress was attentive and knew the menu well. We had a sushi tray that included rolls, nigiri and sashimi. All was fresh and prepared well. It looked nice and all tasted great. When the waitress brought it out, she knew what each item was, impressive. Definitely going back. We ordered take out on a Wednesday afternoon around 6 PM, so I cannot comment as to the restaurant itself. As for the food, we had quite the order: Volcano Roll, Spicy Scallops Roll, Takoyaki, Coconut Shrimp, Tiger Roll, and Crunchy Roll. I am not familiar with Takoyaki. Essentially they're round balls of fluffy dough that are smothered with a savory takoyaki sauce and have a tasty piece of octopus meat at the center. They were cooked to perfection and were my favorite dish. Out of the sushi rolls, I preferred the spicy scallops roll, but they were all delicious. This place was AMAZING.The grilled pork Banh Mi (179) was as good of a sandwich as you will ever have. Fresh, Savory and Sweet. The Pho was tasty as well, plus they have really good sushi, tempura, gyoza and donburi from the Japanese portion of the menu were also tremendously well executed.The place was clean, nicely decorated and the staff was very friendly and capable. Been here twice and it's hit or miss. I've tried two meals here I really liked (shaking beef and then I liked my husbands dish, don't remember what it's called. ..) but had two dishes here I didn't love (pho was woefully under seasoned tasting more like a box of pho broth than the fresh, pan cooked spice flavors I expect...and I got a cracked rice grilled beef platter which my husband and I agreed weirdly tasted like McDonald's beef patties.) my absolute favorite snack in life is goo cuon and it's as good as any authentic joint in the Vietnamese corner of south Philly here, truly a delight. But I always ask if the Japanese platters are available..they've been discontinued, yet taunt me by remaining on the menu. All in all some very good food (5 star) but a good deal of 3 star food too. What took me so long to try this place? The other reviews are absolutely right. I'm not a "sushi" person so hadn't gone here. Went last night with a visiting family member. Wow. I had shrimp tempura- the best ever, dumplings, chicken pho, and the coconut drink. I just can't say enough to do it justice. Delicious and great service. Considering the size of the portions, quality of the food, cleanliness of the restaurant and the taste, the prices are absolutely reasonable. I'm taking everyone I know to this place. It's become one of my fav local restaurants! I usually get the broken rice with charbroiled pork - DELICIOUS!!!! And my husband usually always gets (#146) which is the rice vermicelli with lemongrass chicken. . and he gets the chili oil on the side.. we learned today that they have (1) lemongrass chili oil and (2) garlic chili oil. Updated Review:After my previous review, it appears that the restaraunt and the staff cares about the customer experience; they seem to strive for excellent, if not the "gold standard" of service. If any reason on this list does not convince you to come, the service and the friendliness of the staff should; they really care about their customers.In terms of the interior, the walls, tables, and overall ambiance is very modern yet cozy; it is very reminiscent of the color and vibrancy of Singapore, yet the coziness you would still expect from a good-quality restaraunt.The flavor of the food is amazing quality, and is probably one of the best phos that I have ever had (in my lifetime), and believe me, I have had a lot of pho (as I have traveled to Houston and San Francisco just for pho). The freshness of the meat is uncomparable. In addition, the pho is very clean-tasting; it is not as greasy as some of the other phos I have had. If you are near Garnet Valley/Glen Mills, you should definitely visit this place if you are feeling adventurous for Asian cuisine, or if you just love pho as much as I do. For beginners, who have never had pho before, I would recommend getting the "Pho Tai". Outstanding flavor and freshness! We ordered the rare steak and brisket Pho, the rare steak and meatball Pho, and a spicy tuna roll. 25 minutes later, our meal was ready for pickup.
