I am coconuts for Kokonut Island Grill. They are a family owned business with a lot of passion for their food. It can be hard to miss when looking for it as it is a bit far off the road, with some parking in the front. It's a cute building though and clean when you walk inside! There is a ton of seating. The owners greet you with a smile and are patient as you look over the menu. Their menu is simple, but their food is so so good! We have tried their spam musubi, teriyaki chicken, loco moco, poke, katsu chicken, and mac salad. As you can tell we are slowly becoming regulars. Their hawaiian food is great amongst their competitors. Their mac salad and chicken is not too greasy and I actually LOVE their katsu sauce. The poke is well balanced and so good with teriyaki sauce. The loco moco is my favorite though. Serious comfort food! Think beef patty on top of rice and mac salad with an egg (your choice of style) with amazing brown gravy on top! The food is amazing, and the people there are really nice and friendly. One time I went there they made a mistake with my order, and they just gave me a free order of the Kalua Pork to apologize. I really like this place.

This place is a pleasant surprise! I got the mini 2 meat combo with chicken and ribs. The chicken was lightly glazed and had its tips burned perfectly to give a good authentic grilled taste, but the ribs blew me away. They were perfectly glazed and charred, and the fat was seared down just right to make everything melt together. Definitely the best ribs I've ever had from any restaurant and I'd recommend them to anyone who goes here. The wait was a bit longer than expected but well worth it for good food! More...

This place did not disappoint!!! excellent food, and very reasonably priced. We had a katsu dish with bbq sauce, and a mixed plate on special ($6! ) with pork and bbq chicken. Sides of rice & pasta salad, and hawaiian sun can drinks. All so tasty, wow!! It may also be family owned? (just guessing - I didn't ask or check). It's fast counter service and casual dining on cafeteria trays w/ takeout containers and self seating tables. Overall 10/10! If I was able to come back there are other dishes i'd want to try.
