She curated the exhibition, “Emergence: Identity & Environment Through Emerging Black Female Artists” for the beauty company Davines headquarters in Brooklyn, New York in the summer of 2022. Which interior design styles can you cater for?
In lieu of a particular design style, we take an approach that considers each project on its individual merits and prepare a design that understands and interprets a client’s needs and wishes while reflecting their individual style. As your designers, it is our role to challenge and inspire your design sensibilities, we ask that you trust us in our expertise as we help guide you to a design scheme that you have helped us mold and articulate. The consultation phase of each project is important to us so that we can consider your personality, lifestyle, and aspirations as we work towards each strategic, highly tailored design.
What do you love most about your job?
I love being able to create stories through the lens of my clients. It's my job to create perfect interiors that my clients love and feel safe in because each space I design becomes a unique reflection of their personalities and aspirations, transforming their dreams into tangible, harmonious living environments.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I was inspired to start my own business when I found myself taking on an increasing number of design projects in addition to my 9 to 5 job. This surge in demand for my design services served as clear confirmation that there was a genuine market for what I offered. It became apparent that I could turn my passion and skills into a thriving business venture, and that realization motivated me to take the leap into entrepreneurship.
Why should our clients choose you?
Whilst we are happy to be brought into a project at any stage, being included early on in the process of a remodel or new build is key for optimum design functionality. We recommend bringing us onto a project as soon as you hire your architect or contractor, as we work alongside these trades and it can save time and expenses if we work on all aspects of your space together. Our approach to design is different than an architect’s; we look first and foremost at how you will occupy and utilize your spaces (e.g. final approval of the furniture floor plans will dictate the final electrical and lighting plans).

Koi Design Studio was founded after the pandemic, and while it's always important to keep up with important safety measures, we make sure that anyone who is staffed is tested before coming to any job site to prioritize the health and well-being of our team and clients.
Full Service Interior Design
Koi Design Studio will manage the entirety of your interior design needs from start to finish. We take pride in creating warm and expressive interiors for our clients. Services include:

Design Project Consulting
This is an online approach for clients interested in interior design support who wish to manage projects independently. With this package, you can still create warm and artful interiors with our design assistance, however, you’d manage the procurement, shipping, installation, and timeline management independently. For this service, a floor plan and/or blueprint of the desired space must be submitted for review.
Art Consulting
For clients who wish to build their private art collection or corporate space that desire to incorporate fine art into their aesthetic, Koi Design Studio assists in all areas of art procurement. Services include:

- Acquiring each artwork
- Transporting and installing each piece
- Providing short-term storage
Curatorial Services
Koi Design Studio produces enthralling, enticing, exclusive installations and events that showcase both established and upcoming creative talent.
