Fabulous! I have a wedding which is literally half a country away from home and I need kosher food shipped to a relatively remote destination. Rosemary and Lenny have been absolutely marvelous in arranging the food for shipment to the mountains. Customer service is great. I have also had the pleasure to eat in the store when visiting St. Louis. The food is delicious! Thank you very, very much! More...

This place is amazing. I live across the street and definitely am lucky to have a place with food as good as they make here so close to home. Plus they do cool stuff: last time I was in the owners daughter was doing a history talk for a middle school class. Quality food, good people. More...

My wife, kids, and I have been coming to Kohn's for well over 20 years. We absolutely enjoy seeing Lennie, their fresh pastries as well, they have great chopped liver, burgers, cabbage rolls, sweet kugel, potato pancakes, and excellent corned beef! They are a staple in the Creve Coeur area, and we are lucky to have them right down the street. More...

My first time at a Jewish deli so I don't have anything to compare it to, but the stuff I sampled was scrumptious. Ooh and I had a sweet noodle casserole thing with cinnamon and raisins. Interesting

Hey Chris Wiegraffe, if you want cheese on your sandwich, then don’t go to an authentic kosher deli. There are plenty of kosher-style deli’s in the St. Louis area to get your cheese fix. Kohn’s is not about to loose their kosher certification just to please you. More...

I was originally going to give this place 4 stars because figuring out the logistics of ordering isn't intuitive, but the food is so delish I decided to overlook the initial hurdle. Long story short, head to the butcher counter to order dine in, have a seat, then pay after you eat at the grocery checkout. Or safe yourself some time and call in for pick up. Anyway, this is really about the food. The killer pastrami is just that - killer! I had potato salad on the side and was glad I did. Also tried the everything bagel with eggs and lox. IMO, this is the BEST bagel you'll find in St. Louis! More...

On the occasions when I absolutely have to have a full-flavored pastrami or corned beef sandwich, Kohn's is where I go. This family-owned deli produces great food and maintains a tremendous team of employees. If it isn't on the St. Louis Food Map, it should be. More...

Kohn's Kosher Deli & Grocery is a good place to go for anyone looking for the city's BEST BAGELS or a terrific corn beef or pastrami sandwich. The small grocery store includes a deli counter where they slice whatever meat you want for your sandwich, wrap, or salad you order. You can't get any fresher then that! The deli's menu is varied & you can get anything from a vegetarian egg rolls to salmon or barbecue beef. Because the entire store is kosher no pork products are available but everything else makes up for that. There are even some great ethnic foods like the meat or potato knishes, & the Mata ball soup. Everything is available for take out or they have a seating area so you can eat it there. The place has kind of an "old world" feel to it & the people couldn't be nicer. Be sure to check out the family pictures, especially of the young couple who started the business about 4 generations ago.Besides the grocery items & the deli they have a bakery section that among other things has fresh baked bread & bagels. There's also cookies or coffee cakes to take home. The bagels are what got me here the 1st time & I've been coming back for more than 10 year's.If you want a nice lunch in a relaxed atmosphere Kohn's is a great choice. More...

This is a gem of a place. I thought it seemed pretty hidden away back here on Old Olive, but I guess it's a big deal in St Louis. This is the kind of place that's crowded sometimes but super efficient, it's nice and busy so you know everything's fresh, but just take your number, yeah really, and relax. It feels like there's no rush, but they're crushing tickets at breakneck speed. So courteous. All the deli classics are here -- the Killer Pastrami is really aptly named -- but come here for your highbrow pastries and quiches, too! This place is like walking into life 10 or 20 years ago, so refreshing. More...
