What do you love most about your job?
The best thing about dog training is helping dogs and their human family live their best life together. It's not just about sit, come, stay, but is really all about relationships and harmony. As a lifelong learner, I am constantly participating in continuing education and keeping current on best practices.
What inspired you to start your own business?
My experience with my own reactive dog inspired me to study dog behavior and become a certified dog trainer. Starting KK9 Dog Training was a labor of love with the goal of helping dogs and their guardians live their best life together. Now that the Colorado location is being staffed by highly qualified trainers, I am expanding services to include remote training and support.

You will be working with a career educator during your remote work with KK9 Dog Training. Experience in behavior modification and differential instruction allows us to tailor training to your unique needs. We believe that quality of life matters for all humans and animals in the home and therefore look at the whole picture.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
KK9 Dog Training offers remote services to clients who are either outside of our service area in Colorado or who prefer an in-home experience. For many behavior issues, a remote model is the preferred and recommended protocol. Separation distress and overarousal are two examples of issues that are better served remotely. Most family dog training can be effectively supported through a remote model.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
During the COVID-19 pandemic, KK9 Dog Training followed all recommended guidelines for safety. We checked our local health department information as well as the CDC website regularly and made any and all necessary adjustments to our systems and routines.
