Kirsch provides an upscale, but relatable experience in dining. We visited for brunch after the NYC Half Marathon after a recommendation from friends in the niegjborhood. After a short wait, we ordered sweet AND savory French toast, quiche, and the full english breakfast. We ended up passing each dish around the table because of the unique tastes each had. Wow wow wow! French Toast is out of this world! The Lox French Toast was a flavor explosion! Not the cheapest place..expect about $20 for a breakfast ..but definitely worth a visit!

Tasty Bakery and Tasty ExperienceI moved from New York in 1985, when the daily tension I witnessed became unbearable. After I left, I continued to visit - while the tension fell dramatically, it was still there. Wherever I go in New York, I am still preparing for a bit of antagonism and stress.I found the opposite in Kirsh Bakery and Kitchen. The guests seemed surprisingly peaceful. And they seemed like guests, rather than customers. Very welcoming and gentle staff. Very tasteful and tasty selections. Very comfortable and pleasing music. A manager who went out of his way to help me while he was on the phone. A guest rolled a baby stroller over my foot; I answered her apology noting I still had another, still unhurt foot. She smilingly promised to run that one over next time.This is a beautiful space for coffee and pastries. And peacefulness in the big city. More...
