Cody did an excellent job with training my dog Maggie to get to the level she needed to be for the upcoming hunting seasons, I worked for Cody for a few months helping with various task and he always was helpful and kind throughout my time at kiokee creek kennels, his other employees are kind and professional, the kennel is kept incredibly clean and dogs are well kept 24-7 next dog of mine will come from there and be trained there

Changing venues from agility to hunt test I knew would be a trial for me..the number #1 obstacle would be I was going to have to place my dog with a trainer . After my pup was born I began looking into trainers. I had talked with quite a few when Cody Turner was recommended to me by a source I admired. After talking to Cody I knew this was my trainer. I had had some anxiety thinking about other trainers on my list ; I had none with Cody. After my first visit with my pup at Cody's I was impressed with the skills my pup had learned..but the impression that touched my heart was how much love and respect I could see that my pup had for Cody... and that Cody had for my pup ( just an aside ..when I went to visit my pup he was a solid mass of muscle..fit and healthy and happy).The biggest challenge I see now for Cody is training me in hunt test..which Cody did not hesitate in saying "yes mam I will absolutely do".. which reminds me of one of the reasons I was so drawn to Cody in the beginning ..his strong yet humble confidence . I didn’t know anything about Cody Turner and Kiokee Creek Kennels until I began researching trainers for Cricket, my six month old GSP puppy. My son’s hairstylist told him how great Cody did with training her GSP and highly recommended him. I contacted Cody after reading other great online reviews. I knew immediately after talking with him that I wanted him to train Cricket. Cody did an excellent job with her obedience training. He also has an excellent staff that care about the dogs in their care. Cricket will be returning in July for hunting training and I am looking forward to having the best trained dog on the bird field this fall. I can tell you Cody is a man of his word and you will find no one better to train your dog. He even impressed my wife who was hesitant in sending Cricket to training. To say thank you for the work he put into my dog would be an understatement! I initially planned training the pup myself which resulted putting the pup way behind in her puppy stages and training for the future. I’d known Cody for awhile so I contacted him about the pup. He said he had a spot coming open I immediately took it and didn’t look back. I dropped her off July 11 and she’d hardly pick up a bumper. I picked her up today and couldn’t be happier with the work he put into her! Though out the 4 months we talked several times about her progress some days good some days really bad. At one point I was bout to pull the plug and Cody said I’m gonna try a few more things let’s give it another week! So I did and very glad that I did. I’m very confident and so is Cody that we have a dog ready to hunt for the MO season! If your looking for a trainer that treats your retrievers or companions like family you’ve found him guaranteed!! I’ve dealt with a few dog trainers. I’ve Had a few different dogs trained by different people but I can say that I will always return to Cody and his team at Kiokee creek for all my training and trials for any future dogs. i’ve had good experiences and bad experiences with other dog trainers but Cody really took time out of his day to send updates an pictures an videos of my dog. Made it where I’d never hesitate to call an ask a question even after I’ve picked my dog up he now asks for pictures an videos on how he’s doing in the field.
