There is potential here, but a few tweaks are needed.First of all, the atmosphere was fun and inviting.  The service was quite good also.  So the experience started on a positive note. However, when it came to the food ... the tacos had good flavor, but they built them using single corn tortillas.  Unfortunately, the tacos could not hold up the ingredients and they started to fall apart.  I strongly suggest doubling up. We stopped here on the way to NC from Charleston and this place is fantastic!  The food was inventive and delicious and the cocktails were simple and yummy.  They make their own fresh fruit syrup for their margaritas and it makes all the difference!  Our bartender/server was also very nice, knowledgeable and helpful.  This place has it all for a fun meal. Fun place. Sat at the bar. Everyone is so fun and friendly. Guacamole was fresh and delicious. Really great margaritas, rimmed with back salt. I would go back just for them! Had veggie sushi and it was very fresh and good. Dining partner had tuna cake and highly recommends. We liked this place so much that we are thinking Florence will be our regular stop on the way to Florida. A nice downtown with friendly people and this is a great place. Food was fantastic! Our Waiter not so good - restaurant busy but… waiter took our order then never came back to check if we needed anything or to make sure we had something to eat with. Waiter only returned to check on us or to give us something to eat with. We had to ask the young man that brought our food for silverware, napkins, drink refills and to find our waiter to get our bills. That young man was excellent! He should be a waiter! Very attentive. Excellent and fast service !! The sushi and queso was excellent! The only thing I didn't like was the ground beef used for the tacos (ehh). Sushi is amazing and I think the Billy Ray taco may be my new favorite!Can't tell everyone enough how great this local spot is. I would recommend always going with the special if there is one available! I have had an amazing brisket burrito, the breakfast jefe de jefe, and tonight I had the fried chicken burrito which was the best I've had! Highly recommend, the place was bigger inside than it seems. There are two separate menus depending if you want Japanese or Hispanic food. While travelling north to Pennsylvania, I stopped here for dinner.  Place is small.  As a single, I sat at the bar.  It is a full bar.  When you sit at the bar, service is fast.Looking at the menu, of course I was looking for the hottest tacos - I found the Billy Ray.  They were okay.  Strange.  All I got was chicken and a couple of pickles.  No lettuce or any fixens.  Maybe I was supposed to ask for them.Saw a shirt on the wall for sale.  Almost bought one, but decided to pass. I was hoping to leave 5 stars. We were traveling and I got excited when i saw so many gluten free menu options as I have celiac disease. We even drove out of the way because of this place's awesome online presence. We arrived and were sat in a booth a little tight for our family of 5, even though there were larger tables available. Our server introduced herself, she was kind enough, we ordered our drinks. It took 20 minutes before the bartender walked over to inform me they were out of the wine i ordered. No biggie i ordered a different wine. The server came to take our food order, and I was planning on ordering an appetizer, the dip trio which is listed as gluten free.  However upon inquiring the server let us know that the dips themselves are gluten free however they offer nothing gluten free to dip in the dips. The corn chips they offer are fried in the same frier as all the items containing gluten so they end up cross contaminated and not safe for someone with allergies. Even at this point I would NEVER have considered writting a 1 star review and tarnishing a businesses good reputation. Even at this point i simply thought it was an oversight and not malicious on the part of the business. The kicker for me was when i asked to speak to a manager to provide feedback, our server approached a man drinking at the bar. So the person who claimed to be the manager was drinking at the bar. He came over with a smug look on his face and said "whats up?". I said "Hi how are you?" He said "fine, whats up?". I knew at that point it did not matter what i said to him, he was not taking me seriously. Anyone in customer service that doesn't politly ask how you are is not listening anyway. I very kindly and professionally suggested that if they were gonna list 3 dips on the menu as gluten free that those of us have celiac disease would very much appreciate if they simply kept a bag of grocery store corn chips in the back for the guests with allergies. He rolled his eyes as he said "thanks for the feedback ill let the owner know". I tipped our server over 20% as it wasnt her fault. I walked out before my husband as i took the 2 younger kids back to the car, he was waiting for our oldest to finish using the restroom. As my husband was leaving the manager drinking at the bar said "sorry" in a condescending tone while laughing. I could have gotten over an oversight on the menu, but cannot forgive a drunken, unprofessional manager. It was like he was trying to pick an aggression at my husband. Most managers appreciate feedback and an opportunity to make something right instead of a bad review. The food we did get was great, hopefully the owner wises up and gets rid of the rude manager and either corrects the error on the menu OR has some gluten free corn chips available in the future. Again mistakes and uneducated staff i can forgive all day, there are no excuses for rude managers drinking alcohol during their shift. More...

This is one of my very favorite places to eat in Florence. Start with the trio of dips. The queso can't be missed and the pineapple salsa sounds weird, but is delicious. For lunch/dinner, the tacos are delicious, and small enough that you should get 2-3 so the added bonus is you get to taste a couple of different ones each time. The margaritas are also AWESOME, but notable that 2 should be your limit as they're poured pretty strong. :)Since the last time I was here, they've added the sushi bar.  On today's visit, I tried the seafood ceviche and the crunch sushi roll. Ya'll. The sushi is as good as the tacos and I think I'll have a hard decision on my next time which way to go! More...
