Mrs. Shirley and her staff are amazing! They worked with me to create a custom and creative menu for my wedding. The food was delicious and hot! The staff was was on top of their game making sure everyone had eat they needed. (We had 400 guests) I did not have to worry about one thing with Mrs. Shirley in charge. During recent Hurricane Michael storm restoration, Shirley Barnes and all the Kimble's staff worked overtime to help us feed our linemen in South Georgia. These guys worked 16 hour days with very little rest to get the power back on to our Pataula District members. I can NOT begin to express how GREAT Kimble's was to us and for our crews. The Kimble's crew worked late nights and long days to prepare for these hungry men. Our guys had plenty of fuel for those long days and some have even said, "this is the only storm they ever worked where they gained weight"! The best decision we made about our wedding was hiring Kimble's! From the second we met them they were miracle workers! I tell everyone that I speak to that they are more coordinators then caterers because anything we needed help with or had questions about Mrs. Shirley had the answer!! From the moment we signed our contract with Kimble's, Shirley never failed to return a phone call or answer an e-mail. She answered all of our questions and provided professional advice and expertise. A friend who attended our wedding and another wedding in the same month was just telling me today that the food at our reception was so much better-tasting than that of the other vendor's. I called Shirley a few days before the wedding to tell her that I had discovered that someone's "plus one" was extremely allergic to shrimp. She went out of her way to ensure that there would be no cross contamination issues. I even called her the day of the wedding and she never lost her good humor or professionalism. BOOK THIS VENDOR! Shirley and her staff are the best! The first time I enjoyed Shirley's delicious food was at a friends wedding years ago. When I began engaged, she was the first person I called. After our first meeting we knew we were in good hands. Shirley was overly accommodating and worked with us to stay within our budget. The day of the wedding they took over......they served appetizers prior to the wedding, set up a formal buffet and served cocktails from the bar. The entire staff was professional and overly courteous. The food was out of this world. I had compliments from everyone. One of my guests said it was the best food she ever had at a wedding. Afterwards, they cleared the dinnerware and glasses without interrupting the guests. In between all the festivities, they maintained the candy bar, set up the cake table and other areas that were not in their job descriptions. Shirley was so easy to work with. She always responded quickly to my e-mails, and managed to get me what I wanted for the price I could afford.
We had kabobs- and we got all three kinds, beef, chicken, and shrimp. They were all delicious. The green beans were just as good as my Grandmothers were, and the potatoes weren't the garlic ones we ordered (or if they were, they didn't taste like garlic anything)- but they were still fantastic.
No one left any food. And no one left hungry. All of my guests commented on how good the food was. Not once did I hear anyone say how they didn't like something.
Thanks Kimble's! You guys really helped make our reception awesome.

How do you go about creating the perfect menu for your clients?
We like to talk through what the host wants for their meal and then depending on the style of service, space to utilize and especially their ideas we can create the perfect menu for any appetite. We also can provide for any dietary restrictions - NO KOSHER service is available however.
What do you love most about your job?
I love seeing people enjoy being together and breaking bread. People are most happy when they are eating - no matter the occasion food makes folks happy.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have worked in the food business for over 25 years and when I had the opportunity to join the Kimble's team I have been able to create the Catering Division to what I wanted it to be. My boss has been extremely supportive through the years and trusts me to operate this side of his business as my own.
