Awesome moving company. Seamless, quick and, overall, the best move I've ever experienced. Kevin and his team were very experienced and I really felt my belongings were in good hands when the movers arrived. The entire move took under 3 hours and was performed with a lot of care. The moving costs were reasonable and there were no surprise fees and everything summed up to what I anticipated. Kevin's Moving Service is the only mover I'd use.  Four years ago his crew moved me out of the city and last week when I was moving back I still remembered how good his service was so I hired his crew again.  Somehow Kevin still remembered me four years later and his moving team executed a flawless move back into the city.  One week later I had to move a few pieces of furniture from a friend's apartment down town up to my new place and who did I call? Nothing but the highest quality professionalism from Kevin! I've used him for multiple moves now and have not been disappointed, and he was generous enough to offer a discount to me as a repeat customer. Kevin is super responsive, helpful and transparent and will respond to calls and emails ASAP. Him and his guys are efficient at moving, careful of my items, and ensure that I get things placed where I want them. I was worried because I had an antique vanity with a broken mirror, but they took the utmost care of it, placing it in between softer items to shield it from road bumps, and carefully delivering it into my apartment. Kevin is beyond great! I wish any business owner I deal with going forward would be like Kevin ! From speedy replies to my million emails and suggestion to which options to use and being so flexible and understanding I could not have even dealt with myself! I used Kevin's Moving Service for the first time on September 30th and the team was great. They were right on time and took care of everything from extra wrapping to securing the boxes better than I could. I recently moved from CT to NYC and used Kevin's company for the first time for this endeavor. I was extremely pleased with the very competitive pricing, the communication to set-up the move, and finally the move itself.   Any move can be very stressful, but Kevin's crew of three strong young men showed up on time, worked quickly and efficiently, and were polite and professional on top of that. In short, the move went as smoothly as possible and took less than 5 hours (w/ driving time included) -- not too shabby for a state-to-state move!  There was no damage sustained to any of my items (most of it was boxed in those plastic totes anyway) and the final cost was considerably less than what the next least expensive moving co. quoted.  I will use this company again without hesitation for my next move (hopefully a long ways off) and highly recommend this business and its services based on my personal experience. A friend of mine enthusiastically recommended Kevin's Moving Service when I told him I was thinking about hiring a mover for my Manhattan to Brooklyn relocation. I'm happy to say that Kevin's Moving Service lived up to the hype!After reaching out to Kevin and giving him the rundown on my move, he provided me with a reasonable rate, and walked me through all the logistics that go into a move like this - insurance, parking, etc. He provided some super detailed FAQs that answered most all of my questions before I even asked them. I almost felt guilty on the day of the move, as I stood around sipping coffee while Kevin's team quickly descended on our apartment. The team took great care with all our belongings and got the truck loaded quick. For a reasonable surcharge they wrapped our TV, mattress, and some of our furniture. I appreciated the way they would add tape to some of our boxes, just to be safe.The whole move was done in record time. A move that I guessed would take 5 hours was done in just 3. I'm a nervous mover, and always expecting something to go wrong, so I was pleasantly surprised when everything went right! I moved about a studio's worth of stuff from Stuytown/East Village (elevator building) to LES (2nd floor walkup). Kevin was communicative and prompt when it came to arranging everything, getting the COI, and payment.The movers came on time, but one of them (I was supposed to have 3) called in sick at the last minute. They were also from a company name I didn't recognize, which was a bit confusing, but they had all the details correct. They adjusted the price for me (it had been $375 for the first 2 hours and $75 per each half hour after that; adjusted to ~$290 for first 2 hours and ~$60 per each half hour after that), though, and thankfully my partner came to help me move and was able to "stand" in the truck at all times so parking wasn't an issue (as it can often be in Manhattan). The movers themselves were efficient and extremely professional, and we were done in 4 hours. Really just lovely people, and I tipped them over 25% for their extreme professionalism, which I always appreciate for things like moving.tldr: there were a few snags in terms of not recognizing the moving company that arrived on the actual day, and one mover called in sick at the last minute, but nothing which derailed anything--and above all, I had a smooth, fairly efficient move, where nothing broke, all for about 1/2 to 2/3 of the price other companies had quoted me! Kevin's team knocked this one out of the park.We were not prepared.  It had been six years since we had moved last, and we had clearly forgotten everything.  We also just didn't have time.These guys showed up, 5 minutes before they said they would, calm, confident, and ready to work.  They boxed, and carried, and battled traffic, and despite flagging morale toward the end, they got it done.Bravo!One (and only) note: Kevin sends an e-mail with instructions before the move.  It rivals War and Peace in length, and repeats itself constantly.  I must admit that I read as much as I could, but did not make it to the end.  Ask someone to edit that for you, Kevin, and you'll be perfect! I asked around and Kevin quoted me the lowest rate, not only that but the extra fees like driving fees were lower, too. He was very communicative and helpful. So after reading all the reviews and his quote, I contacted him and said I wanted to hire him. He said he'd send over a different company that he is a partner in. So imagine how much trust you would lose in something if you were to hear something like that after you already pay the deposit.Well, moving day came and people showed up in a truck that was a name I didn't recognize, I wish he had told me the name of the moving company coming for me. But they had all my info so it was clearly the right people. They were excellent at moving my stuff. Just amazing service, really the best move I ever had. Price came out to what they said, everything went smoothly, and they were on time and everything. The people he sent were every bit as professional as the movers he must manage himself based on these reviews. So I guess in the end whether he moves you or whoever else this guy is associated with, they will be high quality professionals. This was my 10th move (in 15yrs) throughout NYC and by far this was the BEST moving company I have ever used!!! I had a last minute change to my moving date and even with short notice they were able to accommodate. They were on time, very efficient and professional. Kevin was beyond thorough, went through every detail and explained their reasoning for a charge. The price was great and they really made this move seamless. I wish I found them for my last 9 moves! We had a very positive experience with Kevin's Moving Service. The movers were on time, careful with our things, and quick enough that the total cost came in less than what had expected (it was an hourly rate). It was helpful that we had boxed up most of our things as that made it go more quickly. They were very helpful in consolidating our loose items into their bins and packing up the things we hadn't managed to box ourselves. Completely satisfied with the move. I was moving a family friend from Astoria to Canarsie. Half of her belongings were put in storage and the other half moved into her new room in senior housing. The movers were careful and patient as she decided what went where and what to discard. This helped me manage a stressful move. I found Kevin's moving servce on Yelp, and he was the only mover I contacted regarding a move from Queens, NY to New Jersey. The 5 star reviews gave me a good feeling and I couldn't be happier with the service from Kevin and his team. My move was last minute, we're talking 3 days notice, and Kevin fit me in the schedule and was very friendly and courteous during our phone consult. On the day of the move, the movers arrived promptly and carried out the move in an efficient manner. These guys were great. There was more traffic than they expected getting to our house (although we live in Astoria...not sure where they were coming from in the end) but they didn't charge us for that extra time. They kept us posted about when they would arrive and worked very hard to get the job done.Kevin was comically thorough with our email exchange before the move, which meant we had a good rough estimate. At the last minute, a truck was unavailable on the day of our move so he sent a large van instead and the movers did two trips, with the second trip free of charge (in part because I hadn't been as thorough as I should have been in listing our furniture). The movers themselves were great. They went above and beyond what we asked, even disassembling our giant couch in the foyer of our new building with their drills because it wouldn't fit in the elevator. I really can't say enough good stuff about my experience with Kevin (I told him this would be an "8 star review"). My original movers (unrelated to Kevin) showed up and tried to jam me with undisclosed fees and a higher hourly rate than agreed. I told them to get their boss on the phone and then they just left. On top of this, I was supposed to be moving into a POD (portable storage container), and had been very specific with the company that I needed the guy to be available for overtime, and I was fine with the fees. Enter Kevin, who found me a 3 man replacement crew on less than 2 hours notice, who were very professional and handled my stuff with care. Meanwhile, back to the company had sent a guy who was out of DoT drive time, and he left before we loaded anything. We ended up moving into mini storage in the city, and while I was working with the movers, Kevin called around and found a big storage room on a 3 month 50% off special! I booked this mover a few months ago to move our 1-bedroom Queens apartment up to a storage facility in CT for a move scheduled in late August. Booking was easy and Kevin himself was very quick with communication to my updates and questions throughout the time from booking to moving day. My move was specifically handled by his partner company, Maxi. There was a bit of a flub due to the movers being a little late on move day itself, but the issue was resolved by Kevin, who personally addressed and compensated the inconvenience with profuse apologies.It's very clear to me that this company strives for excellence and is passionate about customer service, which is key for me. Kevin and his team obviously value their customers a great deal and ensure that they are well treated. Awesome moving company.  I hired Kevin's moving service to help me unload my moving truck in Astoria.  After such a stressful time packing it up myself, I was so relieved to have Kevin's team waiting for me at my apartment and unloading the entire moving truck in no time with no damage or issues to any of my stuff.  Because they were so quick, they even offered to help me unload my car which was unexpected but obviously greatly appreciated.  I'll definitely be using them again when it's time to move again. Kevin and his team made our move to New Jersey super easy.  Kevin was always super responsive to calls and emails and his team of 3 movers were punctual, professional, and such hard workers.  Even though they charge by the hour, these guys moved so quickly and did not milk the clock for time at all.  The move actually costed us way less than expected due to their hustle.  We brought them breakfast and of course gave them each tips at the end but they were all so thankful and helpful.  We literally had to do nothing to move our stuff.  Excellent service and would definitely recommend and use again. Yesterday was my third amazing apartment moving experience (the first move was 7 years ago) with Kevin's Moving Service! I will use this company every time I need a mover because of Kevin's quick response time, efficient and quality work of the team, and overall transparent process. Everything went smoothly just as they did the previous two times. All our belongings are safely in the new place and everyone was great and very pleasant to work with. Kevin and his guys were great today. Originally had them scheduled for a 9am start to load a truck. After being shafted by a moving truck company, I needed to change my start time to 11am. I just used Kevin's Moving Service for my 10 block move, from a 1 bedroom on the 3rd floor of a walkup to a 1 bedroom in an elevator building. After a bad experience with another moving company years ago, I wanted to make sure I chose the right movers  this time around.  I emailed Kevin for a quote, and he immediately responded, and I was impressed with how much lower his quote was versus other ridiculous quotes I was receiving.  He provided detail regarding all costs and everything I should note, and responded to all my other questions in a very timely manner.  On the day of the move, the movers showed up right on time.  They were all friendly and got to work moving and disassembling my stuff.  It took about 1.5 hours to move me out, and then about 1 hour to move me in. This past weekend marked my fourth time using Kevin in five years - what can I say, I get off on moving in NYC the way tattoo enthusiasts get off on the pain from the needle. This move admittedly was the hardest one yet because these days I'm hoarding three times as many nouns in my possession than I was back in 2010 when Kevin personally moved me from one studio apartment to another. This time I moved from the bottom floor of a town house with really narrow doorways (read: I have huge couches, queen beds, etc.), to the top floor apartment of a fourth floor walk-up with an extremely narrow stairwell. All of that being the case, Kevin, as usual, had his men at my doorstep at 9:02 for a 9am move. By 2pm, all of my items from my old apartment were sitting up here with me on the top of the world (so it seemed walking up all those steps). Not a scratch on any of my property, no glass breakage as they professionally wrap all of your fragile items, and no annoying scuffs on the freshly painted walls of my new gut renovated apartment. I cannot stress enough how much I appreciate Kevin's moving service. His company is the only one I trust in terms of moving my goods, and who I can depend on to be professional and reliable. I booked Kevin's services after reading a number of reviews on Yelp... And was a bit nervous to start with. But everything turned out wonderfully. Kevin's guys turned up on time... Maybe even 10-15mins early. It was such a crazy day, I'm not even sure but I know I didn't freak the f out, so they must have come on time ;) All three movers were quick and began working immediately, which was exactly what we needed. We were moving from a large 3br to a 2br on a snowy day. Everything was done in 6 hours which was pretty good. The movers were nice and friendly. Only two hiccups for the whole move, it took two trips instead of one and a few items were damaged. But once I notified Kevin, he took care of the problem.
