Really like this place a lot! They have an awesome happy hour and the view is amazing! Also, the wings, the chesapeake sticky and the buffalo wings are delicious!

Took wife here on her birthday. Has crab cakes, oysters, and some basic seafood options. Also has your standard American food as well. Has a ribeye option but that it I believe on steaks. I ordered the shrimp PoBoy sandwich and my wife had the carnitas tacos. We also had the fried mash potato balls for an app. Desert was a apple turnover with vanilla ice cream. Good but not great. The food was overall good and can't complain. Serving size was good as well. Pricing for this was around $60.00. Service was good, not to overbearing. Ambiance was good, has a bar/restaurant feel. During summer they have a large outdoor seating area. They also do live music I think Wednesday and Thursdays. I would recommend if you are in area, but not a special trip. Again, can't complain. Went there dinner in New Year's Eve but after arrival the way we were greeted we decided to leave we had appetizers which were good crab dip with pretzel sticks in the past you got 3 sticks questioned it and boy said I just serve food don't know what comes with what! Hubs and I decided we finish our drinks and appetizer and leave too many better places down the road! I have been there before bout was in Summer! Service was better outside Bar! I guess not a place to go in Winter! I called 4 days before asked bout getting reservations and girl said don't need any on New Years should of gave me a clue Then! Lol we were staying at the inn next store so we wanted to be close to our room so much for that! Glad we left had better time at 1936 and excellent service! So I believe whoever owns Ketch 22 you need to talk to your employees cause service to me means a lot! All employees that were there were not happy campers! I will say place was clean and usually there food is good I once had a sandwich that was not good but only time I consider to be regular customer! But now might not be! Now I like 1936 and Traders is really good too! We were planning on eating at Ketch 22 on New Year's Day too and watch Ravens game there but sorry employees probably didn't want to be there that day too! So to the owners you lost our business for 2 days! Can't run a business like that! Good luck in 2023 Bad Restaurants are not staying open long! Walked in and smelled the french fries! That started the juices following, looking forward to a great lunch! I remarked to the server about the fries smelling so good and I'd like them with the house burger with the bacon jam as one of the condiments. Had a great craft beer and that unfortunately was the highlight of the meal. The plate came with the bottom of the bag of fries, must've been forty or so little spuds. The burger although cooked just right came with several cold pieces of pork belly instead of the bacon jam, seriously pretty gross! The bun had even fallen apart from being stale. Even though the server was fairly apologetic about it once I'd eaten what I could of my meal she failed to come back to the table until we were finished the meal. I can't believe that she nor anyone in the kitchen saw the way the meal was presented? (We were only one of 3 tables in the place) I always try to support local businesses but unfortunately due to a super bad meal and service I'll never return to Ketch 22. More...

The menu is pretty creative and updated with the change of seasons which is nice. We visit regularly and am usually pleased with the selection and price, but the service is hit or miss. After several visits I learned that if we sit at the bar, order food that can easily be reheated. More often than not the food comes out barely warm. A couple of the bartenders go MIA (cigarette break perhaps?) and by the time they bring the food it has obviously sat under the warmer for a bit.It's not a dealbreaker by any means, as the food is that good and as long as they can reheat it I am good!I have noticed that when we sit at a table the food is more consistent. From beginning to end I loved my experience. We started off with the crab dip and fried pickles. The crab dip is the best I've ever had. It was definitely the cheese. The bread that came with the crab dip was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The fried pickles were fried to perfection brown and crunchy on the outside and soft and tender on the inside.My friend got the burger with fries. The burger was cooked to perfection. The fries were crispy on the outside tender on the inside.I got the shrimp and noodles they were delicious. I ate half at the restaurant and saved the other half for lunch. My shrimp and noodles were just as delicious the next day for lunch.We were in for a surprise because they had a local band that played and the John Luskey band was awesome.Also the view by the water was amazing. Delicious! I thoroughly enjoyed everything about our lunch here. The bartender was blazing fast and made an amazing bloody mary and strawberry mojito. Our waitress was kind and helpful. The food was well prepared, tasty, and plentiful. Our kids ordered bumpy burgers and they were enormous. My wife ordered a poke bowl that was beautiful and extra tasty. I ordered a trio of appetizers - deviled eggs, crab gazpacho, and sticky wings. My favorite was the gazpacho. It was delightful. We will definitely return when we come to Maryland again next year. A very impromptu trip to the Chesapeake Bay Area the day before July 4th landed us at Ketch 22 for a lovely lunch. I made reservations via Yelp just as we rolled into the parking lot across the street. Lucky for us, we would only have to wait 15 minutes to be seated.We opted for a table on the patio facing the marina. A day that had started cloudy and unseasonably cool opened up to clear blue skies the minute we sat down at our table. Our little girl oo'd and aah'd over her coloring sheet and crayons; hubby and I oo'd and aah'd over the view of the beautiful scenery and the boats parked in the dock.Our waiter - who looked like a mix between Justin Bieber and River Phoenix (that's for you 80's babies) - woke us from our daydream and quickly took our orders: a poke bowl with blackened tuna for me; chicken quesadillas with fries for little one; and steak and eggs for hubby, with a Dr. Hathaway to whet his whistle. The food came in a reasonable time and we attacked. Unfortunately my poke bowl was immediately met with regret at the sight of the mound of white rice in the middle of the plate and four very blackened, not-quite-recognizable slices of ahi tuna. How did I forget poke bowls come with rice? It tasted fine enough, with the ahi tuna perfectly pink in the middle and the wonton strips and pickled onions adding a nice texture and bite. But the presentation was lacking, clearly thrown together and a little messy. I ate most the tuna and toppings. Hubby enjoyed his steak frites and eggs, and my little one ravaged her massive plate of chicken quesadillas with fries.We extended our stay even after the check was paid, enjoying the scenery and festive pre-holiday vibes. Very disappointed! I’ve been before and loved it, but tonight we went to dinner with my husband - he ordered the beef taco and I ordered the fish. The fish was just a dusting of fish crumbles and his beef taco had (no lie) about a tablespoon of beef in it. We pointed tot out to the waitress- she just looked at us and said “oh”. She didn’t tell a manager or cook. She did offer to take it back, but Only after we said “for $19 we should be able to taste the beef!” We paid cash… and we’re expecting change - so we waited and waited….and waited… she finally came back and asked if we wanted change. “Uhhh yeah!” I grew up in a restaurant and know how hard the business is- I tip well WHEN food and service is worth it. I was not going to give a 30% tip for the food we ate tonight! She did get a 20% tip… which was more than fair. I’m sorry to say, we won’t be back. More...

Went here for lunch yesterday and our waitress was Emily who actually had the same first and last name as me. So it was kismet for us to eat here I suppose. Emily was amazingly friendly and handled our party of 9 wonderfully. My daughter got the fried pickled and they were like these huge deli pickles that were cut up and sliced. She absolutely loved them. Their cheese curds were awesome! The crab cake sandwich was delicious with hand cut fries. My mom's burger was freaking enormous and had rosemary bacon on it. She said it was wonderful also. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food and the portions were great. But the best part was the Salted Watermelon Crush that I had. My mom got the Grapefruit one at lunch but after tasting mine she opted for the Salted Watermelon one.. My mom and I went back later in the evening and saw the band Skribe and man, they were totally great. It just made for a wonderful beachy vibe vacation and everyone was super friendly!! I came to Ketch for Father's Day and walked away with a meh feeling. The server was nice but I had a hard time eating due to the flies. While I do understand that flies are hard to control I felt like I was dining at a barn versus a restaurant facing the water. My husband had a steak and the kids had chicken nuggets and skirt steak. Hostess team was friendly. Escorted outside. Patio chairs were filled with strands and balls of hair which made it hard to sit comfortably. ..did not want hair to blow in my food or to take it home with me. Switched table chairs and encountered the same issue. For patio seating, I would recommend Ketch 22 consider hard plastic chairs. Server was pleasant and did her job well. Enjoyed the live entertainment. Food taste was above average and arrived quickly. Portion size was great. I am open to returning to Ketch 22 for a second visit and would consider indoor seating unless I notice a different style of outdoor seating (i.e., chairs with no hair strands or balls). More...
