I offer primarily private Pilates training sessions which focus on teaching awareness of proper alignment, body mechanics & spine safety not only in exercise but in daily life as well. We use this awareness & Pilates to improve peoples' quality of life.

Update: after fewer than 20 sessions with Kelly (16 or 17), I'm able to do a pull-up again and my back feels significantly better. Serious results...I am so much stronger and could not be happier. More...

Love this class! You will not waste your time. The instructors know what you need to do to feel the burn. My abs burned more a minute into class than countless crunches!

WOW! I started pilates to help with my chronic back pain. My back feels so much better after only 10 sessions. Actually, after every session I feel stronger in my back and core. Kelly is so knowledgeable and works at your level. I'd been thinking about pilates with Kelly for a while - wish I would have started sooner but thankful I'm on it now. I learned so much about establishing and maintaining a healthier posture from Kelly's open studio workshops! Not only does she teach about the mechanics of good posture and how to get there, but after each session (I've attended twice) I notice that I am much more aware of the nuances of my posture and and how to make even slight adjustments to feel better. Of the five Pilates teachers I have had sessions with, Kelly Etter is the best. She listens to what you tell her and then customizes the session to meet your needs. She is kind enough to be encouraging and firm enough to keep you progressing. Pilates with Kelly has given me more energy and boosted my mood. Her sessions are an excellent way to de-stress after work. Additionally, I have built up my upper body strength and no longer have back and knee pain, as a result of her tailored workouts. I highly recommend Kelly as a Pilates teacher who motivates you to attain your goals. As I told my brother, Pilates with Kelly is better than chocolate! More...

Are you a Pilates pro?  Go!  Or a tyro (beginner)?  Go!  I've been with Kelly Etter for about six months now and she is wonderful.  I am a beginner but she is so skilled that I can imagine a Pilates person at any level would benefit from her teaching.  She is thoroughly trained in classical form but she also stays up on the current trends and techniques.  Kelly is also not afraid to adapt a bit.But if you a curious/intimidated by Pilates, I would really encourage you to give it try.  Kelly is a wonderful teacher, dedicated without being intense, patient, funny, and very encouraging.  She has also created a lovely studio, a little haven.  Even though she works me very hard during my session, I've come to look upon the time I spend in her tranquil space as a respite from the world.  Pilates is a great workout and Kelly is the best! I've taken Pilates classes from a variety of instructors, although I'm still very much a rookie. Kelly is a great teacher and really talked me through the "how" and "why" of each move. She also nicely corrects your form if you (like me) sometimes have no clue where your limbs are. The studio has a great deck for alfresco sessions, which I hope to try in warmer weather. More...

Your initial session includes a discussion about your health and movement history, issues such as past injuries and chronic conditions, and your goals. I’ll develop a Pilates plan that reflects your unique needs. Then in one-on-one training sessions I will lead you through a customized 55-minute session that includes working on the mat, reformer, cadillac, Wunda chair &/or the Ped-o-Pull. As you get stronger, I will adjust your workout accordingly. My job is to keep you challenged whatever your age, weight, and current level of ability. I will help you make Pilates a permanent, positive part of your life.

In addition, I offer specialized shorter sessions that can be completed as needed or in between your longer workouts. Focus/Stretching is a challenging mat session designed to loosen and elongate muscles. Focus/Alignment will bring your spine "back into warranty." If you spend a lot of time in the car, in front of a keyboard, or playing sports, feel the difference a Focus session can make.

The secret to getting the body of your dreams is commitment and consistency in your workouts as well as being intentional about balancing caloric intake with calories burned .

My joy comes from sharing this powerful method to encourage, support and inspire you to go beyond your expectations! It is such a pleasure to hear clients come in and say "Colleagues are telling me I look taller and my posture is better." or "I feel so much better and stronger! Before Pilates I would not have been able to hold that drill above my head for as long as it took to remove all those curtain rods and brackets."

Being able to customize sessions to clients' needs and build a lasting relationship without any restrictions that can come from working within a larger studio or gym environment. .Rather than being in a large, noisy, crowded health club my studio is a calm, healthy oasis. Located in a quiet residential neighborhood, my 400-square foot studio is surrounded by a 650-square foot deck and a mature shade tree. The fragrance of jasmine and orange blossom and the soft ringing of the chimes adds to the picture-perfect setting.
