Four stars  reflect our one visit to the Keepers. Owner greeted us with a smile at the hostess stand and offered good conversation while we waited for a table. This was my First time going to keepers restaurant. I will definitely be back! The restaurant itself is so cute and has a cozy atmosphere. The waiter was very friendly and attentive and was able to confirm what on the menu was dairy free for me. We didn't have any cocktails but they all looked delicious. And they had and nice extensive wine list. We started with the chips and guacamole for an appetizer and it came with a pico de gallo. It was very tasty and it was a nice portion size for an appetizer. My cousin got the pulled pork mac & cheese and could not stop raving about it. And it was large enough that she could only finish half and take the rest to go. I asked the waiter what on the menu would be easy for me to order dairy free which is not always easy considering I also don't like seafood. He came back from the kitchen with great options and I ended up going with the beef tenderloin which came in a Demi glace all dairy free. He also suggested the kale side dish which came with the pesto and some sort of delicious sauce that was also dairy free. After nine months on the island, Keepers has become my favorite restaurant. Their food is so very good. While I’ve always liked veggies, this is the 1st time in my life I’ve actually craved them! I highly recommend!

First time here to Keepers. The meal was very good with nice portions. The service was timely and attentive. My husband got the special spare ribs which he enjoyed. My husband and I had dinner here with our two children.  Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. The restaurant is quaint on the inside and the staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The salmon was SO incredibly fresh and delicious .  And the cod had thee BEST lemon sauce I have ever had. Added bonus ...they have their own parking lot!! More...

First time here. Service was very good.  Our waitress was very attentive and the other staff helped out too. Nice menu concept with the a la carte sides and shared starters.  All of our food was excellent.  Highlights were shrimp tacos, flat iron steak and Greek tomato salad.  Great mid-island location with plenty of parking. As with a few other reviews I almost hate to give this restaurant a good/great review!  Why?  Because other people will begin to go there and it will get so busy I can't find a parking spot/get a reservation, etc.  But....when somebody runs a good business they deserve to be recognized.  This is a GOOD restaurant!  The food is good, the price is good, and you won't go away hungry. It is quickly becoming one of my go to restaurants on Nantucket.  Skip the trendy, overpriced places downtown and give these guys a try.  You won't be disappointed. More...

The owners are friendly and kind. We enjoyed celebrating our 15th weddings anniversary at this beautiful restaurant. There are so many little things that come together to make this a charming delight. The Chicken Under a Brick was juicy, tender and served with Ramesco & Summer succotash. A prefect grill on my Flat Iron Steak with a mushroom Madeira demi glaze. The fingerling potato’s were roasted soft inside and crispy outside. We will definitely come back. Loved it!! More...

The restaurant is cozy and very comfortable after a long work day. Their bartender is excellent and food was so fresh and quickly prepared, especially for a vegetarian. Keepers is decent.  The food quality is good and the restaurant is comfortable.  It's just the menu is very limited, it is expensive, and the menu design isn't entirely appealing. Basically, you pick a protein - a choice of five - meatloaf, salmon, flank steak... and you decide size - for individual or sharing.  Typically starts at about $15.  Then you pick your sides - for individual or sharing - ranging from $7 - $15 or more.  So it looks inexpensive but expect to pay $30 person just for dinner.  Drinks and dessert are extra.It is set up as family friendly.  There are a choice of two salad alternatives, I believe.  I found the meatloaf to be too moist and bland. The fish was good but paying about $30 for a 6 ounce cut of fish and a side of broccoli seems expensive.  It's not like you're paying that price for chef-level talent.Nevertheless, it is good enough that it ranks amongst the better places on Nantucket. We, my siblings and I, can not provide enough accolades to convey our deep appreciation for an exceptional evening in which we celebrated our Mother's birthday. The planning process was a breeze, the cocktail party had amazing apps and very happy party guests and the dinner for our family was so delicious and filling! 1st visit to this gem of a restaurant. Highly recommend to any one visiting and to all the locals on the island. Loved the family style to get a tasting of lots of their amazing food choices. What a gem.  Found out about keepers at last minute as they are fairly new.  Thought we'd try itWhen we arrived at about 730 there were 2 couples waiting before us.  But we didn't get the usual "that'll be 15 minute wait"We were greeted, asked if we wanted a drink brought out to us while we waited...or an appetizer brought out !   They actually acknowledged that we were there!  And that was the owner!  Sabrina spent time with us telling us the story of the place.  That is perfect restaurant personalityNow to the meal.  Our waitress was Casey. She explained the dishes how they were prepared and checked on questions we had.terrific and pleasant server. We ordered wine and a special shrimp app and veggie quesadillas; excellent then salmon quioson (wonderful)  and veggie salad. Do your own pairings. (Great idea) We had glazed Brussel sprouts and their special corn bread. Sadly no room for dessert but I can only imagine.....Great customer interaction, great service, great food. If I could give this place 10 stars I would!! Can't believe that I waited until almost October to check out this awesome restaurant! So yummy! My friends & I aren't huge drinkers so really appreciated that we still got such great service from our server Grace Ann (That's not always been my experience with other island restaurants ) the food & service was great! If your can't decide between the Brussel sprouts or the crispy broccoli. GET BOTH!!! You will not be disappointed! So yummy! Look forward to my next meal. More...

SURPRISE! An unexpected delight! Keepers is one of the best, if not the best, new restaurant on the island. The decor is stylish and modern, and the dining area is partitioned into separate rooms for more intimate settings. There is also seating in the bar/lounge area. Separate rooms help control the noise level, a problem in many Nantucket restaurants.The hostess and wait staff were pleasant, knowlegable, and seemed anxious to please. Service was reasonably fast and professional. The menu and wine list were a bit limited, but they 'touched all the bases', and each item appeared to have been given special creative thought and attention.I never believed i'd order meatloaf in a restaurant, but here the meatloaf wrapped in bacon was a special treat. It is served with a choice of either mushroom or bbq sauce, and for me the bbq sauce was the magic ingredient. It paired nicely with a side of jalapeño cornbread and a glass (or two) of red wine. Beer would also work. The quantities were a good size to feel satisfied without wasteful leftovers.Dessert choices were limited to 3, which we declined since Stop & Shop had Ben and Jerry's on special this week.We'll gladly return to this delightful restaurant,  conveniently located away from busy downtown, with adequate parking and easily accessible from 'our side' of the island. Great new spot on the island! Super nice wait staff, and cool innovative menu. You order apps, then a "favorite" (protein) with sides either to share or individual. This was my favorite meal on the island. All the food was cooked to perfection and there were plenty of options for our whole group. Comfortable and casual. Great for a family. Smoked wings are excellent. Same goes for the arancini. Blt salad with shrimp was just ok. Shrimp were overcooked. Flank steak was ok as well. Not great. Mexican corn was good but ive never seen a corn cob that small. Not worth the $7. Mac n cheese with pulled pork was good. Brownie sundae was decent as well. I would go back for sure.
