The worst time ever to not have your furnace not working! Looking through YouTube videos trying to fix the situation myself ( my heater was blowing cold air and the burners would not turn on, my inducer motor was making this aweful sound like it was on its way out). I had to call somebody out. I first called another company and they quoted me a ridiculous price trying to take my money that’s for sure. But at the same time I had the heater guy check out my system I was messaging someone from KD and sons. And coincidentally they worked with one of my friends so they were definitely reputable. I sent Dave pictures of my furnace and the part that I needed. He went out and got the part and quoted me a reasonable price. He came in a timely manner and got the job done in like 45 minutes. Can not say enough about this company. I have had Dave out for a few jobs now, & he has been nothing but professional & knowledgeable. They stand by their work & are reasonable in price. Ran out this weekend when we had a minor issue, & not only took care of it in 2 minutes, but also fixed an issue with my gas fireplace, that he didn’t even have to look at, as it wasn’t from anything he or his company did. I LOVE THIS COMPANY. It started by getting duct cleaning done after I purchased my first home and the guys came in and I reached out to them again for heating and air conditioning issuesThat was in 2016, I ended up calling them again and purchasing a new energy efficient heater and A/C from them. There isn’t any better person to meet than David. He is helping my father with issue with his AC during Memorial Day weekend when temps are in 90’s. My father is up North but he doesn’t care and travels to help people. More important my home I rent in other direction of David in Shorewood. David found out I had no air in my townhouse calls me up right away on Sunday and says because I have kids he will be over to me on next call. I was in middle of putting a window unit in my home to try to keep upstairs cool. This is how nice of a guy David is to stop what he is doing looking out for my family. Dave and Kelly are amazing humans!! I messaged Dave out of the blue just from seeing his name on a friend's post. I didn't know him, but while on a mission to get healthy air in my friends home where her 2 year old is fighting stage 4 cancer. I had so many questions I needed answered and hoped he could answer some of them. I needed to know how much I needed to fundraise to get air ducts, and furnace cleaned. I had done research and learned UV light air purifier was the way to go. I could buy room units, but that meant 3 or more units at $800 each. I needed to know about the ones put on furnaces. My message to him was at like 11:30pm by the way... I swear he got back to me at 11:40pm... no later, maybe sooner. He didn't hesitate... Bam... he would cover the cleaning of the furnace and air ducts. He also said not to buy any units because he would see what he could get the furnace unit for. Dave and his assistant Got it all done and UV installed on the furnace, making their home air as close to hospital air you can get. When I would ask the cost of the unit he just said no worries. I finally got the cost out of him and he said he would rather The family have that money. It was only $390... I sent that to him, but he didn't want it. It left money left over for the family. My heart is full a strangers act of kindness changed the life of a 2 year old and her family. 90 degree weather last night and a power surge and then no AC. We found this place by pure luck they had good reviews so we called. David was there in about an hour, very friendly, personable, and very, very, reasonably priced. We called another place who claims to have 24 hour emergency service and then they wanted $85 dollars just to come out to our place but they couldn't get there for 3 days and we have 90 degree weather all week. No thanks, this is the only place I'll call from now on. And I will recommend them to everyone I know. More...

We recently moved into a house that was completely renovated. The contractors who did the house basically swept all the debris into our floor vents. I had KD and Sons come out and clean our ducts today. I am extremely happy with the results. My vents are so clean! He found some interesting things in the vents to... like a fork and marker in one and a toy truck and a fishing bobber in one. David was extremely nice and very thorough. Dave from KD and sons and his assistant (sorry can't remember his name) just left my house, and I don't think I have ever met a company owner quite like him. My furnace quit working. I have been told by several other companies they wouldn't even work on it because it's a pain in the ass and pretty old (probably about 30 yrs). When I spoke with Dave last night he asked me to let him come out and at least look at it. He and his assistant spent an hour in my basement, diagnosed the problem and called about the parts. The problem is it's so old the parts will take a long time to arrive, one even has to be made. Dave told me though if I wanted he would fix it. He gave me what I think is a completely reasonable estimate for the work. He didn't even charge me to come out and diagnose it. Now he hasn't done any work for me and I can't say much about that, He probably won't be able to at this point, because we're just not sure this dinosaur is worth fixing yet again, and the time it will take to even get the parts. Sadly KD doesn't offer financing on a new furnace, and we just aren't in a position to pay for it any other way at the moment. He even tried to come up with a solution for that for me, which I am still trying to work on. I would so hire him to put in a new furnace for me if I can manage it financially. I will also recommend calling Dave before anyone else, simply because of his business ethics. I will for sure be calling him in the future when a need arises. David from KD & Sons came out a few days ago when my AC went out. He was here in a few hours, even though it was late at night. He was polite and professional, explained what he was doing, showed me what was broken, what he was replacing, and why. He took the time to check the furnace too, and didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. The price was very reasonable, they warranty their work, and it was nice for someone to take the time to explain everything to me. (Especially since I was afraid I needed a completely new unit, it was great to hear I could probably get another 3-5 years out of my current one!) They were in and out of here in about an hour, and they cleaned everything up like they were never even here. My AC has never worked better. It cools my house quicker, and my entire house (even the upstairs-which never gets as cold as downstairs) actually got COLD for the first time in 5 years! It's not every day you find a company that is run by people who are honest, kind and truly care about their clients but that describes KD & Sons to a tee. When my furnace was being temperamental my husband had to keep messing with it because it kept going out so we knew we needed to have it looked at. When I messaged KD & Sons on FB it was fairly late in the evening but they responded almost instantaneously. Since the furnace wasn't out at the moment we scheduled a service call for the next day but they insisted we call right away if the furnace went out over night. After they fixed it (for a good price and didn't try to sell us stuff we didn't need) we liked them so much we chose to also use them for dryer vent cleaning and duct cleaning. We're extremely happy with all of the services they provided and I'm super grateful that now we've got someone that I know we can trust to call if we ever need help with HVAC needs. I also plan to have them do the routine maintenance and microbial spray to keep the air in the house good quality. Great company and awesome guy! More...
