Pretty good commercial BBQ. Everything we tried was tasty and had great flavor on its own without really "needing" any extra barbecue sauce. The meats were obviously what you come to a BBQ place for, so I suggest skipping the sandwiches and going straight for one of the combos of several types of meat and a few sides. We tried brisket (our favorite! YUMMMM!), pulled pork (solidly tasty with excellent texture) and the sausage (nice surprise: it wasn't a hot link, but a really chunky sausage!). The sides, baked beans, cole slaw and thick french fries, were tasty and fairly standard. The mashed potatoes were super thick and deliciously creamy and came with a generous helping of ok, not great/not flavorful, gravy. Personally I would have preferred plain mashed potatoes (they were so good on their own!) that I could have poured my baked beans on top of or mixed in chunks of meat; the gravy just wasn't good and didn't add anything. Service was good - timely attention when we sat down, quick to fill empty water glasses, fast to take our order and to bring out our food. My one complaint is about all the non-reusable items they use. Why use plastic utensils and styrofoam plates I think even just using butcher paper on a metal tray, like many Texas and Kansas City BBQ places do, would be better than endless styrofoam plates. The food was great but we were very disappointed in ordering a Shovel dish and it did not come on a shovel. It wasn’t even that busy but we were told the shovels were all out. When an experience is advertised and not delivered it leaves people upset. We drove an hour because we saw it on Chronicle but it was no different than any other barbecue. We went to KC's for the first time on a Friday night. We did call ahead but there was still a bit of a wait which was fine because one of our party was running late and everyone waiting was super friendly. Speaking of the wait, every parking spot was full and there were no open seats in the waiting areas. A really great sign.We finally get seated and were lucky enough to get Ashley as a server. Some people in our party are both dairy and gluten free. She was super patient and checked everything in the kitchen to confirm no allergy issues.  She was also so patient with our questions and how long we took to order.We wound up getting the deviled eggs,  onion rings and wings as apps.  The teen foodie loved her eggs, which were awesome.   Onion rings were delicious and crunchy and a perfect delivery device for sampling the various sauces on the table.Since we ODed on apps, three of us split a BBQ platter (chicken, sausage and pulled pork) to which we added a side of brisket.  So. much. food.  and all of it was delicious, messy BBQ perfection.  I love cole slaw and theirs is on point.  The cornbread was also perfect; sweet but not too.We were all so full, but there was a dessert we had to get:  tableside DIY s'mores! What?  Yes, they bring a sterno hibachi to the table with graham crackers,  chocolate and marshmallows.  It was epic!  Ashley was awesome again and brought extra marshmallows since our DF/GF friend can't have the chocolate or graham crackers. And, when we ran out of sterno, she brought another hibachi . . . without us asking.  Such thoughtful service.From start to finish KC's more than exceeds any expectations in terms of food.Better than the food is the staff whose service was better and more attentive than some fine dining restaurants.  I can't wait to come back. I've been here a couple times, even once when it was over in Litchfield NH. The parking lot when we went was full and we had to park in what felt like an overflow lot so I was expecting a line once we got inside but we were seated right away. I got the Beef Brisket which was great and my wife got the Beef Brisket Chinese Pie which is sort of like a shepherd's pie which she said was also very good. We have had two lunch functions here this past summer.  Both times we were served quickly and were able to sit outside and eat, even though they did not have that area open at the time.  They were very accommodating.  The food is amazing.  I had pulled pork sandwhich.  Delicious and you get a tray of bbq sauces to choose from.  I chose the apple flavored.  The guys with me got racks of ribs, mixed meat plates and other delicious food.  All of which they loved.  Don't hesitate to get barbeque at this fun place. Just tried KC's for the first time and it was delicious. The decor is fun and rustic. Tried the fried pickles as an app and they were the best I've had. Hubby ordered the ribs and I had brisket, both meals were huge and we had leftovers to bring home and enjoy later. The food came out quickly and was hot and tasty. I will go back! This place was fantastic, the food was great, staff were friendly and they have great entertainment for kids. The vibe is very laid back and the tiki bar was easily as awesome. The only suggestion I have is for them to have a tap menu for the tables, I'm not sure if one was just not available but when I asked the waiter said they did not have one, so I got up and physically looked at the tap board, which may be inconvenient for others. Great vibe, Great food and great service. I love BBQ and KC's did not disappoint. This place sets off the main road and is divided up into different atmospheres. 1. Outside kind of tiki bbq bar/restaurant (where I sat)2. Family style open dining area 3. Inside bar/restaurant All areas have their own vibe and decor which I thought was pretty cool. I was there on a Saturday so they had live music inside and out. I ordered the 3 meat sampler. Ribs, chicken and brisket and two sides. Portions were huge! Each meat had great flavor and you could choose from a carousel of sauces. I would have liked a hotter sauce but all were good. The bartendress kept the drinks coming and I devoured my meat and quickly entered a meat coma... I even ordered a side salad (which I did not need) it was huge and fresh too!
