I got married in October 2021 and ordered church flowers, bridal party bouquets and boutonnières and centerpieces. Kato was great to work with but the day of the wedding was a disaster. The groomsmen boutonnières never got delivered before the ceremony and when we inquired as to where they were, we were told they were delivered to Wilmington island. We were downtown the entire time and no one lives on the islands so we knew this wasn’t right. Someone on the phone assured us they were dropped off to someone part of our party (not true) and that they were given to the bride’s father. I’m the bride and my dad died a few years ago so this was heartbreaking to be reminded of on the morning of my wedding. Especially since they were so adamant about it like we were the ones who weren’t communicating with whoever accepted the boutonnières, instead of the possibility (and reality) that they were delivered to the wrong place. They delivered them to the church late and we never got the father of the groom’s boutonnière. The mothers of the bride and groom and grandmother of the bride’s bouquets were also missing. The church pew flowers were never made. My wedding ceremony started late and I was waiting outside of the church for the groom’s boutonnière to be delivered. After the wedding, I asked for these things that never showed up to be refunded to me which they did. I think they sign on to too many weddings and the details get lost and forgotten. Keep this in mind if your wedding is during a busy season and remember what you ordered versus what you got, because you will have to ask for the refund yourself. Maria & Molly were a dream to work with! Maria is so personable. I just wanted to hug her over and over! She makes you feel comfortable and right at home. Kato Florals were great to work with for my wedding day. I found the floral decision making to be the hardest part of wedding planning. Molly Rose was so communicative as we went back and forth on my contract with design ideas, etc. She had so much great insight and helped me create the perfect look for my venue. I truly appreciated all of the time she took to edit the contract and talk through different ideas on the phone with me. On our wedding day, my bouquets, unfortunately, did not arrive as decided upon. In addition, we were missing the florals for the details photos (they were brought later on). That's the only reason I cannot give the full 5 stars. They took the bouquet back and worked hard to fix it so that it fit the design in my contract. Raven deserves the biggest shoutout. She was so kind in making sure that everything fit my vision and for that, I am SO thankful. It absolutely all worked out (Raven - MVP) and I 100% do recommend Kato Florals. As a couple who did not have a specific vision for how we wanted our floral arrangements to be outside of a vague Pinterest board, Kato took the time to bring our ideas to life by offering us something beautiful and affordable. They were completely transparent with their pricing and did everything they could to stay within our budget.
