I believe that Katie and Casey (Katie O Wedding and Events) are storytellers and dream makers… so my review is both a story and a sharing of dreams… it is long, but the care that these two put into my story and dreams rivaled my own and to quickly gloss over it would be a disservice. Katie and Casey came into our lives at the perfect moment. I was trying to plan my then boyfriends 40th birthday party. The party was to be held in Albany, but I was a NYC resident originally from Boston. The party was for 60+ people, in my boyfriends family’s yard and people were traveling in for it. I was way over my head - I needed catering, a tent, cool and unusual ‘things’ to make it special, rain plans, decor, etc… etc… etc… It was also only 2 months before the actual event… I found KOWE’s website and left a somewhat desperate VM and email seeing if they had capacity to help. Fast forward a few phone calls, efficient meetings and emails… and we had the best 40th birthday party ever… so good, in fact, that my boyfriend proposed a few days later… At this point we knew the context we wanted to create around our wedding. We knew we wanted a destination - but no idea where, when or how. I was jokingly chatting with Katie and said “can you hire someone to help you find a destination for your destination wedding?!” Katie went on to tell me her background in destination weddings and to offer a time to chat and go over options… we already had such trust in their ability, taste & judgment… plus we really liked them as people… it was a no brainer. From that conversation our dream wedding was born. A mere 6.5 months later we were in Yountville, CA under the perfect California sky saying I do in the most authentic, real and truthful way to who we are as a couple. We had a 7 event, 4 day wedding weekend for 54 people (48 east coasters and 6 mid westerners — 0 California natives). The weekend was seamless, each event rolled into the next, the vibe we so desired - one of closeness, connection, ease, beauty and class - was oozing out of every interaction, piece of decor and choice made…. I (a very well known OCD, type A planner) was calm, confident and completely present with my guests. All of that was made possible because Katie and Casey got us… they listened to what we wanted, they helped us fill the holes we couldn’t envision yet, they were our partners every single step of the way. They also worked how we worked… we live in NYC, they live in Albany and we planned the entire wedding over video chat and phone calls. They efficiently used our time (even though I don’t think we always efficiently used theirs… lots of rambling emails, videos and ‘thoughts’...) They became our friends… we felt safe, cared for and understood . I have never been more excited to see something come to life and felt more honored to be a part of creating such magic. Our guests were thrilled - we came home to thank you notes for our wedding! We created a context that let our closest people, became close to one another, to create a community and a family for a weekend to celebrate a love that brought it all together. There are a lot of obvious things I’m not even mentioning — the flawless execution, the extreme coordination, the vendor selection, the professionalism, etc… many things you expect… that was all there in spades. The things you don’t expect - to feel like your dreams are being brought to life in front of your eyes, to feel like you’ve gained family, to feel like their voice is equal to your own… we will forever be grateful to Katie and Casey - my husband and I went on this journey together and the four of us made magic happen. We are 100% confident the magic in that California heaven will be a ray of sunshine over our marriage. Katie and Casey can do anything - they had never thrown a wedding in CA never mind an entire weekend affair and they did it with ease… trust them with your story — they will ensure the chapters they are a part of are the stuff dreams are made of. Working with Katie O and the KOWE team was a dream! We signed up for the “Day of” services and were blown away by the time and attention KOWE gave us throughout our 14 months of wedding planning. They were always extremely responsive to texts, calls, and emails and provided unbiased advice that helped us make key decisions. With wedding planning, it can feel like you “have” to do or include something but their advice often saved us from doing something we didn’t actually want to do which in turn, saved us money that more than made up for any cost of coordinating fees. Their knowledge and expertise in wedding planning and dealing with the varied personalities that could be involved truly saved our sanity and wallets and provided so much peace doing what could have been a chaotic time. Aside from the business aspect, everyone at KOWE is just wonderful. We looked forward to any interactions with them and their kindness and enthusiasm was truly never failing. Since the wedding, many of our guests commented on their interactions with the KOWE team noting how considerate and helpful they all were. Their care and attention to detail was so appreciated! Especially when the seam on my dress came open and Lauren was there with her needle and thread to fix the dress during the cocktail hour all while I stood there chatting with a guest, munching on my slider app. A true angel! When I met Katie and her team I was about 4 months pregnant, and trying to wrap my head around the fact that I needed to plan a wedding for over 300 people. After meeting Katie, my husband and I knew that we were in good hands. We worked with Katie for almost 2 years planning the wedding of our dreams. She basically became family, as did many of the vendors she recommended to us. I can't even fully put into words how much she helped us. From dealing with Sunday texts from me, so going above and beyond to help make my "visions" a reality, Katie and her team (in particular Casey) are truly truly amazing. There is not a better DOC out there than the KOWE team. I truly do not think there are enough wonderful things to say about them. From the very beginning, Casey eased my mind by helping to give me honest feedback about potential vendors and work through any other big decisions we were making. Once we were 2 months out, we talked quite frequently and she starting pulling together our day of timeline, which was so incredibly detailed, it made my type-A heart flutter. The KOWE team is truly amazing. Casey Benson was the senior coordinator for our wedding. She truly put our minds at ease. From the moment we hired KOWE, Casey was supportive, quick to answer questions, and all around extremely pleasant to work with ! Having Casey and the KOWE team at our wedding allowed me, my family and my bridal party to enjoy every moment of the wedding without having any worries or added stress. Katie and Casey "had us at hello!" From the first conversation (I'm in Long Island and they are in Saratoga Springs where our wedding took place) they listened and took action! We needed to plan a lot over the phone and email ideas back and forth...Katie and Casey just took the stress right out of the equation! When we finally met in person they were like family! Every detail, right down to placing candles on the steps down to our tented reception was handled with love and care! Having them on "our team" was the best investment I made in my daughter's dream wedding! Where do I begin with KOWE!!! The first time we met Katie and Casey, we knew that we couldn’t put this wedding together without them. They were sweet, funny, and SUPER excited to plan a Doctor Who themed brunch wedding. We hired them for their full service package, as we really needed help from scratch. They were there for us every step of the way, helped us choose all of our vendors, and kept us organized and constantly updated. They were readily available for any questions or concerns, and always acted with efficiency and professionalism. We had routine phone chats that always made us laugh and breathe a sigh of relief, making us even more excited for our wedding day. A day which we will always remember with happiness and joy. I've heard stories about brides being stressed with things on their wedding day, and how something will inevitably go wrong. I can honestly say that our day went PERFECTLY!! Maybe things behind the scenes didn't go according to plan, but we had no idea because we knew we had the KOWE team as our safety net so we got to focus on how excited we were to be getting married. We didn't have to think about anything, just feel the emotion of the day and enjoy our time with each other, and our friends and family. Our photos and video clearly show that it was the happiest day of our lives, and we owe that to the KOWE team and the vendors they helped us hire. There is no way we could've had such a smooth, stress-free wedding planning process without Katie and Casey (and the team). From day one they were our go to! From random how-to questions throughout the whole process, emotional support when it was needed, and several opportunities to "Save the Day" the day of the wedding (which was during a blizzard) they made the whole process low stress and dare I say-FUN! I seriously can't thank them enough. Everything went so smoothly, even when there were "hiccups"-such as a tear in my dress, Katie swooped in to Save the Day and correct the issue before I even knew what was going on. I don't even know where to start with reviewing Katie O Events because it was that amazing. My day of coordinator was Casey and she brought two assistants. The kept us on schedule all day long, and made sure everyone is at the correct location at the right time. They had everything you could think of in their aprons, from safety pins, lint brushes, gum, etc. just the smallest things you would never of thought of! Casey made my dream day so perfect, and when any issues arose she handled it and left me out of it so I was worry free! They all gave such a positive vibe and I am endless thankful for them. Ok seriously- if you are trying to plan a wedding or have a problem free wedding day by yourself then you are out of your mind!
!! Katie O & her team are literally so amazing. They know exactly what they are doing and do it so well. They keep everyone on a tight schedule so nothing is missed and make sure all people and things are at the right location!
Katie O and her team have worked with my family for four weddings now. She has done so much as to make sure no one is chewing gum, make a row of umbrellas form the trolley to the entrance of the venue so no one gets wet, and rerouting busses that accidentally went to the wrong hotel to pick up guests.
The nicest thing about having this team with you is that you can enjoy your day to the fullest. You don't have to be making any phone calls, or writing out checks the day of your wedding, etc. She takes care of everything for you- making sure the day is the most sparkly day ever.
You need a wedding planner- DO IT ! :-) ;-)

There are just not enough words to express the love that we have for Katie and her team! They are simply the best! Not only are they some of the most SPARKLY people you will ever meet, they genuinely love what they do and it showed throughout the almost 2 years that we worked with them.
Katie and Casey truly took the time to know us as a couple. I truly believe that the time invested by Katie and Casey to get to know us is the reason why our wedding was such a success. I feel truly indebted to our KOWE team for their incredible work on our wedding. For your most special day, you want to surround yourself with people who will contribute positively to the energy you are creating with your spouse, your family and your community. From our very first interaction, it was clear that the girls had genuine love for their job and that they had a ton of experience. They were energetic (actually excited about our wedding which is not to be underrated) so very kind, attentive, reliable, timely and the most professional. I can't say enough about Katie and her team! I knew from the very first consultation that I wanted to utilize Katie's services - her knowledge of the industry and passion came through immediately. Throughout the course of the planning process, the team was extremely responsive and was there to answer all of my questions. A few days before the wedding, we had a major personal issue that would have been extremely stressful on it's own, let alone 3 days before getting married. Katie and her team made it clear that they were willing to assist in any way possible to ensure my wedding weekend was the very best. On the actual wedding day, Kelly, Kelly and Jill were there for everything we could have possibly needed and then some. Katie O and her team made our dream wedding possible! My family lives out of state, so I was on my own much of the time for attending meetings etc. Katie made me feel more than comfortable, and truly helped to guide me in figuring out how to achieve anything and everything we wanted. Not only was she enthusiastic about our own vision, she gave us so many creative little details that truly gave it that Katie O sparkle! What can we say about Katie and her team? Much of the reason why our our wedding day was perfect was due to Katie, Kelly and Jill. We first met with Katie many months in advance of our big day. From this first meeting, we knew that we had made the right choice in choosing Katie. She is incredibly passionate about her job and will do whatever it takes to make you happy. Katie O’ and her team were integral players to our wedding day vendor lineup! I am an event planner myself and have a lot of experience planning events for non-profits but my husband and I didn’t want to be running around solving problems on our wedding day. We hired team Katie O’ for day-of coordination, which I learned is really much more than just day-of coordination! I sent Katie many emails, and we had many phone calls at night (they offer phone calls after 5pm when your home from work, so helpful!) just running through logistics. Katie is like a really great friend who has all the answers and solves all your problems. Our day of planners Casey and Kelly were so organized, friendly and upbeat. We met them the day before our wedding and they run the entire rehearsal ceremony which I loved since our families had a lot of questions. We held our reception at the Canfield Casino and the day before our wedding Congress Park was a complete construction zone. Casey and Kelly assured me everything would be fine, and it was! They do more than coordinate, they give pep-talks, carry lip-gloss, keep the groomsmen on time, make sure your veil is on point, take care of tipping vendors, and most of all, ensure you enjoy your day-- it’s wonderful! We can not say enough about Katie and her team of experts. They are simply amazing. From start to finish they kept my always late family happy, and on schedule! We had a tent wedding at Saratoga Polo Club with around 275 ppl attending. The ceremony and the reception were both at the Polo Club, Katie organized and executed everything from rehearsal, pictures, happy hour, ceremony and reception with out a hitch! I literally think she was conducting the bus shuttles at the end of the night. My biggest concern was ordering around the 20+ bridal party and looking like BRIDEZILLA during rehearsal. With her & her team this was far from the case. Everyone knew exactly what they should be doing, where to stand, what to say, and that eased my nerves 100%. She allowed me to focus on our day and not the stressful details. If anyone including vendors had questions they went to her, and believe me people have a million questions.. I can't say enough wonderful things about Katie O' and her fabulous staff! Having Katie & Casey help with ideas and the wedding planning process, including setting up and attending vendor meetings, was such a relief.
I always felt like they were on top of everything!! It was great not to worry that I was missing something important or forgetting to take care of something on time.
Katie was so easily accessible … phone calls, meetings. Working with her made everything fun!
Having Katie & the staff on site the day of the wedding made everything flow so smoothly. I can't imagine how the day would have gone had she not been there while I was getting ready. My gown ripped in the back. Really ripped!!! Katie didn't say anything as she was fixing things and I honestly didn't know what had happened or how bad it was until I saw it the next morning. So grateful she was there!! I might have panicked a little LOL.
The day of the wedding, I didn't have to think about where to be, what was next, or being late for anything …. It made the whole day worry free and all my husband and I had to do was enjoy ourselves. She also made sure that our families were taken care of, anything they needed she was on top of it!! As we were getting ready, Katie's assistant Casey ran to the store for baby formula for my sister's 2 month old (oops! we forgot that!).

When we first got engaged in NYC, a family friend strongly suggested that we hire someone to help us plan our Saratoga wedding.
As soon as we sat down with Katie O’, her energy and enthusiasm were apparent. Katie's excitement about us, our story, our plans and ideas gave me permission to be un-self-consciously excited to be a bride. We really felt like she 'got' us, and her suggestions of vendors were always on point.
We started working with Katie 16 months before our wedding. There was an initial flurry of activity, followed by many laid-back monthly calls, and finally, a big stressful, frenetic push at the end. My anxiety definitely got the best of me at times - and because I had lost my mom the year before, I often felt like I was performing on a highwire of emotion without a net. Jason and I took on a lot of creative control over the details, but as the pace of planning ramped up in the last three months, I needed more help, or at least reassurance. Katie's increased involvement at the end was invaluable. At one point, she (and her lovely, patient husband) even drove out to my dad's house to show us linen samples and help us decide on some final details. Even though planning got tense at times, Katie stepped up when I needed her and got things done.
Katie really sparkled during the weekend of the wedding. She and her team were our right hand (wo)men at the last meeting at the Casino, made our welcome bags and delivered them to the hotels, coordinated our rehearsal on Friday night, brought lunch on the morning of the wedding, helped us get from the mansion to the Casino and made sure we looked perfect as Katie herself sent us down the aisle to start the show. My background is in theater and the best compliment I can pay Katie is that she was an incredible stage manager: everything happened on time, exactly as we had planned it, and if anything went wrong, I don't even know about it. I cannot imagine things running as smoothly without her.

I am so happy that I was able to have someone from Katie O' Weddings and Events, LLC at my October wedding . Katie is personable, knowledgeable, professional and so very helpful during the planning process. She truly made me feel at ease that everything would go smoothly. I was fortunate enough to have Jillian and Casey at my wedding, all day. Jillian and Casey helped me beyond belief. I never had to worry about a thing that day and I know that it went so smoothly because of them. They planned for everything! I honestly felt as though they cared about me, my husband, my wedding party and our guests. Some of the things I appreciated the most: setting up the venue, getting me into my dress, blowing bubbles with my flower girl, letting a baby crawl around them, constantly bustling me, making sure I was having fun, changing my shoes, making sure I ate, and having fun themselves! I'm not sure how we could have planned our wedding without the help of Katie and her team. Living in Denver and planning a wedding in Saratoga, NY was a bit of a challenge.
Luckily we immediately started working with Katie who helped us identify the perfect vendors for our reception and also give us advice on the crazy little things we were trying to fit in. We felt like we were working with a lifelong friend throughout the whole process. Her experience and her creativity allowed us to incorporate both a traditional and 80s wedding theme into one. It was EPIC!!!
On the day of the wedding we were in good hands with Megan and Annie on her team, who made sure that all we had to worry about was getting married and having fun. All of the random drama that happens at a wedding was kept out of sight and Katie's team handled it all without any question.

The other brides were not kidding when they said Katie O was the greatest investment they made during the wedding process. As a super "Type A" individual I thought I had wedding planning down. I had no trouble picking vendors, budgeting, etc.- it wasn't until I was set to figure out the logistics of organizing a bridal party of 20 that I realized I need a professional. I knew Katie was the answer to my prayers (as well as my mom's and fiancés') from the day I met her. She is warm, kind, and on top of her game! Chelsea was the day of coordinator for our August wedding and was absolutely awesome to work with. She was quick to respond to any and all of my emails no matter how detailed the question. For the last month and especially the last week I didn't have to worry about anything. I was able to enjoy the week leading up to my wedding in the company of my bridesmaids, as I knew all the vendor details were taken care of. At the rehearsal Chelsea, Katie, and Nate kept us on schedule and assisted in ironing out the last minute kinks. I didn't think that I would need a wedding planner, but as soon as I booked KOWE, I was far more grateful that I did, than I ever thought! My husband and I moved to Florida in the middle of planning an Albany NY wedding! Katie O made me feel like I was home the entire time! We Skyped for our initial meeting and she emailed me constantly to keep me up to date with everything. When I was in town for my shower she made sure to meet with me in person. Hiring Katie O to do our day of coordination was the single best choice I made in the entire wedding process (other than saying yes when my sweetheart proposed).
From the first moment of our wedding day when Katie arrived with coffee, through getting ready, managing the photos, keeping everything running smoothly through the reception to the end of the night, Katie and Nate were perfect in every way and kept the details out of my head so my husband and I (and our families) could just enjoy the night.
Someone had rented golf carts and left them right out front where we were supposed to walk in, and Nate literally moved them by hand so that our photos wouldn't be disrupted. Katie was there every time I needed something before I even realized that I needed it - lipstick touch-up? there was Katie. My bustle broke? Katie had a safety pin. One of our tables was set for 10 but supposed to seat 12? Katie fixed it before anyone even sat down.

I had the pleasure of working with Katie and her fabulous team specifically Jillian and Norah on the day of my wedding. This was well worth the investment to have peace of mind on the actual day and throughout the last few weeks before. The morning of the wedding one of my vendors called to inform me that the venue was locked and asked me what to do. Without Jillian there my response would have involved panic and tears (it's an emotional day) but instead I was able to calmly hand my phone off to Jillian who took care of everything and I went on sipping my delicious Starbucks coffee (that she brought to the hotel). That's just one example of how amazing it was to have someone there to take care of all the last minute details and disasters. Everyone was extremely professional and friendly. I felt like they really cared about me and my day. I think the best part of the service was the itinerary that was drafted and provided for all involved so that our day flowed perfectly and no one ever felt stressed or rushed. We cannot say enough how happy we were to have hired the Katie O' Wedding and Events team for Day of Wedding Coordination! At our rehearsal, the night before our wedding, we walked into the church where the wedding was to be held only to find the entire interior of the building covered in scaffolding. Katie immediately approached us and, without hesitation, informed us of our options. With less than 24 hours to go before the wedding, the KOWE team ensured every guest made it to the correct church, contacted all of our vendors, and made the transition to the new church run as smoothly as possible. We cannot even imagine how the situation would have transpired had we not hired the KOWE team!
