Hey friends, I'm Kathryn, but you can call me Kate. I love kettle cooked chips, steaks cooked medium rare, and pie!

Way back in 2008, my cousin decided to get married....with 3 weeks heads up. EEK! She asked for my help, and of course I said I would.

I would HIGHLY recommend Kathryn Volz Events. She single handily made sure my husband and I’s wedding went perfectly. We had a huge problem with the venue not providing enough food for our guests and Kate went ahead and sprang into action and did her best to solve the situation that wasn’t even her area! I would text Kate in the middle of the night days leading up to our wedding with ideas that I would come up with and she made sure everything was taken care of. Words can’t express how much this lady rocks and saved our day! 💕💕 More...

I love being able to help an excited couple go through their wedding planning process with zero stress. I really enjoy being the point of contact for everyone so that the couple and all of their family can actually enjoy the wedding day and not have to worry about having a "job".

My business just kind of snowballed. It started with a cousin who needed help, then my sister, then my best friend, then my best friend's sister....from there word of mouth got around and it just made sense to take the leap into owning my own company.

I choose to only book two clients per month. This allows me to devote all of my focus so couples never have to worry that my schedule is too full and that they will get lost in the shuffle. My clients are the most important thing to me, not filling my calendar for the year.

My initial meeting can be done online via video chat. It's a simple as visiting my website and completing my contact form.

If the venue or couple specifically ask, I am happy to wear a mask while coordinating the wedding day.

Planning an entire wedding isn't for everyone and that is where my full service wedding planning package comes in. It gives you everything you need to get from your engagement all the way through your wedding day. Full service planning includes wedding design, vendor procurement and day of coordination all under one efficient and well oiled roof. What's the benefit of having one planner do it all for you? A cohesive and streamlined look, one point of contact/subject matter expert for your wedding, and a simplified process!

Coordination is truly something I am expert-level good at. Logistics, scheduling, flow, and looking around corners is something that is second nature to me. While the plan goes into action the day of, the work really begins immediately after booking. Coordination services are more of the function part of your day. Pure logistics. It's so important for you, your family, and your friends to be fully present on your wedding day and to not have to worry about all the details and minutia that go into producing an event. Things such as communicating and locking in details with vendors, managing your day of timeline, and much more.

You've invited all of your family and friends to a party in your honor. Most of the time, your guests will not be familiar with your reception location. When people walk into a new place, everyone always has that "deer in headlights" look where they don't know what to do. By having me there as your reception host, I am there at the door to greet every guest, and answer the four questions everyone has when they enter the reception hall: Where am I sitting? Where do I put this gift? Where is the bar? And where is the restroom?

Invitation design began as a hobby. I've always enjoyed creating something completely unique for every client. For one price, you receive the invitation, details card, rsvp postcard, mailing envelope with return address and guest addressing all stuffed, licked, stamped and even dropped in the mailbox. I take it completely off your plate. As romantic as sitting together and licking dozens of envelopes sounds...once you get started, the romance is lost pretty quick and by the end you're just plain tired. With me, once you get your address list together, you're done. Easier than Sunday morning.

Not stopping at invitations, I also can design save the date announcements, thank you cards, seating charts, ceremony programs, place cards, shower invitations and anything you can think of that needs a coordinating paper design.
