This place seemed to be the town or maybe the tourist favorite. The food was pretty good but the the coffee drip was just okay. This is a place that's nice to go, but  I'm not sure if it's a place to come back to. It's a coffee place and if you're coming here for the coffee, then definitely try the iced coffee cuz the drip was nothing special at all you might get disappointed. More...

When I asked my friend on Kauai for a breakfast recommendation, this was his first pick. He told my girlfriend and I that we couldn't go wrong and that it's a really popular place with the locals on Kauai. It has a lot of parking in the lot and even though the pandemic (Covid-19), it was pretty full. Once we walked in, it was obvious they had removed a lot of tables in the spacious dining area. There were a few tables outside as well. The first thing you do is take a menu before you reach the counter. You need to order at the counter. Once your order is placed, they hand you a number and you seat yourself. Not too sure if this is the norm or simply something they are doing because of Covid. They are well-known for their coffee, so my girlfriend ordered a cup and I went in for some orange juice. It tasted freshly squeezed and hit the spot. I'm a sucker for all things sweet, so of course I ordered the cinnamon french toast. My girlfriend loves eggs benedict and my friend said that it was really, really good here. She did that with some hashbrowns (you have a rice or toast option, as well). This cinnamon bread french toast was soft, sweet, and chock-full of cinnamon. I didn't need any of the syrup because the quality of this french toast was fantastic. That's how I identify a really good french toast. It tasted buttery, light, and the center was like that of a really good-quality cinnamon bun. The crust on the outside was fantastic. My girlfriend's hollandaise had a nice lemon and butter flavor that went well with the kalua pig. The added spinach was nice to cut through the heaviness and the hashbrowns were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, perfect. We got a kick out of a sign posted at the table that basically said, "Hurry up and eat, don't linger, someone else wants your table." I'll post a pic of the pidgin translation with this review. Our table was lovely and you could imagine yourself sitting in a house kitchen somewhere. It just felt homey. We looked at the lush trees and enjoyed the rain and our breakfast. It was probably one of the more memorable breakfasts we had on the island because it just felt so nice. If you can get in, it's worth the stop. More...

This was our first time here for breakfast. We ordered the: Kahili breakfastCinnamon bread French toastSmoked salmon Benedict Matcha latteEverything was so good! I really liked their hashbrowns though. It was the perfect amount of crisp. They are on it with keeping social distancing while offering dine in options. They have placed clean menus for customers to look over. When they are done ordering, there is a basket for the used menus to be sanitized. To ensure that the customers know that the table is ready, there is a laminated card that states that the table has been sanitized. More...

5 stars for their grilled corn muffin!! It was busy but not crowded yet around 10am on a Tuesday, and I would recommend coming around this time to avoid the crowd if you're looking for a breakfast/brunch spot. They have a full menu in addition to coffee and pastries to go. I ended up just ordering a coffee, which was solid and reasonably priced, and also their amazing Grilled Corn Muffin ($1.50, yelp.com/user_local_phot…)!! It was light and fluffy but also buttery- a perfect bite for breakfast. I would come back and order a few corn muffins to go, and also try their other pastries and/or a full breakfast/brunch. There was plenty of parking in their lot at that time. More...

Just like most of the other reviewers, I have nothing but good things to say. We came here on our first "morning" on Kauai, and this was the only place still serving breakfast at 2pm ! Order at the counter and find a table with your order #.  Self-serve beverage with the cup or mug given to you by the cashier. Coffee varieties include Sumatra, Kauai Estate and Decaf. A server will bring your food to your table. The Egg Benny is delish and can be ordered with egg of your style for those who can't eat uncooked yolk. My boyfriend is a (picky) vegetarian so finding good, flavorful food with large portions has been tough. We stumbled on Kalaheo Cafe on the second to last day after we went to Poipu, and boy, were we so glad we did! My boyfriend ordered the grilled vegetarian burger and the roasted veggies tofu bowl. I ordered the tuna melt on croissant. We were not disappointed. My bf typically does not like zucchini and squash (told you, picky vegetarian) but he enjoyed this so much. He basically licked the plate. He liked the garden burger also but after 3 days of garden burgers, he liked the bowl a lot more. I really enjoyed the tuna melt. It came with sprouts and lettuce and tomato so it was more filling than your normal tuna and cheese sandwich.Only regret was that we did not find this cafe sooner. I have had the absolute pleasure of visiting the beautiful Island of Kauai 5 times in the past 7 years and it never ceases to amaze me at how every time I get to try new places that I have passed by so many times in my previous trips. On this most recent visit, I vacationed with my sister who has property on the SouthSide of the Island and she recommended coming here for breakfast as I had never been before. This small town cafe has a mix of both locals and tourists alike and it serves up an awesome breakfast that will make everyone in your group happy. From traditional Hawaiian inspired breakfasts, to items off the griddle and typical Mainland breakfast meals, you can't go wrong with what you order. Ordering is done at the counter, and then it's a first come, seat yourself kinda place. And don't forget, there is "Coffee Company"in the title of this place so you know you will be properly caffeinated. I love their many choices of breakfast meats (bacon, ham steak, sliced turkey, Portuguese, chicken & pork sausage) so meat lovers...Rejoice!!!Tables are fairly close together, but It was nice because we made conversation with a local and we swapped stories about football and just life in general as we were finishing up our meal.
