Lisa and the team at Kaiser Gardens are true professionals in all aspects of soft and hard-landscaping. Lisa is a high level communicator, always on time and has a great eye for detail. Her depth of both design, construction and specialist maintenance is rare in design-build companies. Lisa was great to work with. Although her company did not do the actual installation of the landscaping, she was there on site for all the important steps, such as plant and accent placements.
She work with the contractor to ensure that her design was executed.
From the beginning, Lisa brought great ideas, submitted numerious designs, listened to our requirements and was very open to making changes.

Lisa and her crew designed and installed a garden along the side of our front garden and replaced plants in our front garden that were not tolerant of the cold temperatures we have in our microclimate that subsequently had died or were doing very poorly because of the severe cold damage from the prior several years. They also designed and installed an atrium garden that blends beautifully with our indoor-outdoor house and color palate. Kaiser Gardens did a major renovation of our aged landscaping. We couldn't be more satisfied with the outcome. Lisa Kaiser is knowledgable, imaginative, and resourceful, has a fine sense of design, and it was both a pleasure and instructive to collaborate with her. We appreciated her environmental sensitivities, especially with respect to Marin's water situation. The crew on our project was outstanding -- diligent, highly skilled and careful -- and handled all phases of the job, demolition, preparation, stone work, planting and irrigation installation and testing. Lisa herself was often on site and hands-on. The cost of the job was completely fair, and unforeseen issues (there are always a few!) were addressed openly and promptly, so there were no surprises. We interviewed Lisa Kaiser of Kaiser Gardens for a large residential landscaping and garden installation. After conducting an extensive onsite inspection and lengthy interviews with my wife and myself, Lisa prepared a site map with elevations, features and plant proposals for our consideration. She took care to meet with us several times to modify and improve the plans before we decided to retain her expertise. Her crew were energetic, respectful and superb at their jobs, attesting to the characteristics we appreciated in Lisa. The job was complicated by being on hard clay at a 20% grade, but her exquisite bedding and low-volume irrigation layout went in smoothly, providing excellent drainage and efficiently amended soils. Lisa's horticultural expertise is as superb as it is practical and pleasing. Now, after a year's growth, we have an absolutely phenomenal 1 acre, well-lit and sculpted garden with 4-season blossoms and lovely horticultural artistry. We would recommend Kaiser Gardens to any discriminating homeowners, or commercial operations. More...

Lisa Kaiser blends her horticultural knowledge with landscaping design sense to produce the best results for her clients, whom she clearly values above all else. I was referred to her by Sloat as a full-service landscaping company in Marin when we moved here 3 years ago and have since referred her to many friends and neighbors, the latter because they always ask who did the beautiful work around our home! I recommend her without reservation and I rarely say that, but Kaiser Gardens is truly a full-service Marin-based landscaping company who can design, install, and maintain anything you have in mind for your land. Even in you don't know quite what you have in mind, Lisa will guide you towards the perfect solution for you and your family. Our most recent project was last fall (2015) during which she built a stone wall bordering the peninsula across from our house in conjunction with a road repaving effort. In addition, she installed underground irrigation and replanted the entire front of our house. It has gone from sad to magnificent and I love hearing the comments from passersby who very much appreciate the added beauty to their dog walks and routes. Brava, Lisa! More...

Kaiser Gardens transformed my garden last summer, reducing the number of flowers and plants that need a lot of water, and replacing them with pretty, colored leafed drought resistant succulents and other plants that have added perennial color and contrast in tones and textures.
The plants have done nicely in the winter, including a side garden with a Mexican pot theme where herbs were masterfully integrated with colorful plants. I highly recommend the talented and imaginative Lisa Kaiser, during the drought or anytime!
