I'll be in California in December and needed to find a particular BossDog food item and so I contacted Kahoots to see if they carry it. I've been going here since moving to the area a couple of years ago.  Kahootz is the only pet store nearby that carries the raw food my dog eats.  My dog and I love their brand of healthy chews and treats.  Customer service has always been spot on.  Appreciated the explanation from one of their employees regarding the FDA investigation between apparent link between grain-free kibble and some rare heart condition.  I read several reviews which were very negative regarding customer service.  All but one were written 2-6 years ago.  Some items are more expensive, of course, than big-box stores, but the food and treats are about the same for similar quality. The guys are so nice here. I came to buy a bale of straw for Halloween decor. They spent a good amount of time trying to get it in my small car! They even wrapped it in trash bags to not make a huge mess. We all laughed when we couldn't get it in. Really appreciated the effort! The service is always great here. They have a great selection too! If your doggies are overweight like mine were, try fat dogs dog food. Apparently it tastes good my dogs always look forward to their meal and have kept they're healthy shapes! More...

Dog training services here are top notch. I've experienced other trainers in the 55 years that I've owned dogs and really there are none like David. I'm the son of a veterinarian/ dog show judge and this is the first time I've seen training in a way that progresses in a way that make show dog behavior possible. David's pleasant, prompt, consistent and (I mean this in the right way, haha) he thinks like a Dog, which makes it easy to understand how our behaviors affect our pets and the result -how they behave! The employees here are all very sweet and you can tell they really love animals.Kahoots tends to have many specialty products Petco and PetSmart don't have. Best customer service ever. I have a French bulldog. Trying to find food she will eat and treats that are grain free with all the nutrients she needs is difficult being she is a picky eater. This place offers samples that your dog can try in the store so you know your not wasting money. The staff are very knowledgeable about all items in the store. They are the best! I swear no matter  what Kahoots you go to everyone cares. I love buying my food from Them rather then big stores like Costco etc. A. A while back I bought a harness for my Shiba Inu.  I ended up modifying it a little to fit my bog better.  Last evening on a walk that modification caused the harness to fail and she got free.  If you know anything about Shibas it is if give the chance they are runners.  Luckly I got her back (this time).  I bought the harness at Kahoots in Marrieta on Ivy St.  I used cash and had no recorded of buying it.  I took the harness back today and they were wonderful about it.  I knew they wouldn't be able to just exchange it but thought I would see what could be done.  They gave me a great discount on a new harness.  I knew they didn't have to but they did.  Always have had a great experience when I go in for dog food or treats.  Thank you. Great customer service reps in this store! I've broken my right ankle two main bones & was in wheelchair for the longest time. They helped me by getting my dog & cat favorite foods dry & wet for me also their treats. They are very helpful & patient with me & my needs while I was in recovery & appreciated their thoughtfulness.Now that I'm limping around they are still helping me with my shopping. This review is regarding dog training We adopted a young dog from the shelter but discovered he had some behavioral issues that needed to be addressed. We signed up for training sessions at Kahoots and initially had low expectations since it was training from a pet store.David was our trainer, and he completely exceeded our expectations.   David has a wealth of knowledge about dogs and dog behavior. He worked hard to help us train our dog overcome some of the behavioral issues, and always gave us tips on how to handle different situations in the real world. He also made training fun for our dog! Every session my dog would be excited to see David and I could tell he enjoyed his weekly trips to Kahoots. As we progressed through the sessions and our dog learned more and more commands, his behavior started to change and he became more of a confident and happy dog. I truly appreciate David's compassion for dogs and philosophy in training; it's not just about the dog learning obedience commands --- he emphasizes developing a stronger bond and relationship between the owner and their dog. It's also a bonus that he teaches us to make it fun and engaging for the dog. David is also extremely knowledgeable about diet and food allergies. We discovered our dog had food allergies and digestive issues. When we told David about this, he gave us information on different types of food allergies and ingredients that are in many of the common dog foods. He recommended a particular dog food and when we tried it, it cleared up his digestive issues! Currently that is the only dog food our dog can handle (every time we try a different brand his health issues flare up again). Just want to say how amazing David is and we feel so fortunate to have found him to train our dog.  The training was definitely worth much more than we paid for.  It's been a few months since we completed the intermediate course, and we miss the training sessions. I love coming here.. They have the most amazing selection of Horse and dog and bird products.. The staff is always nice. . Their prices are about the same as any where else.. Kahoots has  a large variety of products, including their own brand.  The big thing I love about this store is the personnel are well educated on pet issues and provide smart solutions to individual pet needs.  They are friendly and very professional.  Sometimes their solutions cost money and sometimes they give helpful information that works and costs nothing but time.  Very impressed with this store. Just took our first of several dog training classes at Kahoots in Chatsworth. I was beyond impressed! Our Yellow Labrador has not been in training since he was a puppy and was developing bad habits. He was not listening and running away from us (escaping from the yard) and not coming when called. Our first class was life changing. He responded so well to instructor Migdy- she is amazing! She did not pressure sales at the shop but used equipment at Kahoots that benefitted the training. I ended up purchasing the equipment, but it was reasonably priced and great quality. Omgggg my pug bennie and I new favorite store !!!! The people are so friendly not like at other big pet stores they all care about pets so much and are so knowledgeable and kind ! !! They fit my teething pup with an awesome harness! It took a little to get on because Bennie is a teething nut case right now but they still loves her none the less !!! Every time I come in a leave feeling lighter and happier. THEY ALSO SELL EVERYTHING ! Kahoots held a low cost, non-aesthetic teeth cleaning and vaccine day recently, where they brought in a local veterinarian who performed the services. We brought our dog in for his first teeth cleaning, and the results are amazing! She sat on the floor with our dog on her lap, and carefully cleaned each tooth with a machine. His teeth are so white now and his breath is fresh. It cost $175 for the entire teeth cleaning and exam. We will definitely be bringing our dog back for his next teeth cleaning. I've been going to this store for the last 3 years and will miss it now that we just moved away. The staff always greets you and offers assistance in the store. Sometimes they miss me when I enter the store but someone will always find me in the back area quickly later on. The prices are very reasonable and much better than boutique stores, even though they offer similar products. The store is always very clean and well organized. We bought our dog and cat's Orijen dry food here every month and bird food, toys & millet. They have a military discount with valid ID too! More...

Love this store! So happy that I found this place (by recommendation) and can now avoid PetSmart. They are so nice, have great products, and they gave us a dog food sample for our picky cockapoo who hates all food. Mike and his team went out of their way to work hard and order me a Behlen Magnum Kennel that many other retailers refused to order for me. A feed store in orange county made excuses and tried to sell me an inferior kennel from their regular stocked items. The nice Blue eyed cashier was very polite and friendly and made my transaction quick and easy. The "Yard hand" older gentleman helped me loaded the kennel fast and had me safely on the road. This review is mostly for their teeth cleaning services but I love the store too. I am soo happy with the job they did on my little chihuahua's teeth! She will not let me touch them so I was nervous that they wouldn't be able to do their job but she did really well and I was soo impressed with the thorough cleaning they did. Love that they have this service at a decent price instead of paying for and worrying about anesthesia. It's quick and they give you a report on each tooth. The store itself is 5 star too. I've been coming here for 3 years and have the same great experience every time. Great quality products at a good price and huge variety. Their products change a lot because they are consistently keeping up with trends while maintaining quality and discontinue items that no longer meet their standard. We love this store! Clean, organized and carries a great selection of good, healthy food for your four legged friends!We want to thank Migdee (I hope I'm spelling this right! !!) for all of her help, we always go to her with any and all questions and she ALWAYS  has a straight, well informed, no BS answer to our problems! It feels great to have a resource who will be honest and won't just try to sell you something! I come in here now and again for my dog care/food needs. Everyone here is always in a terrific mood, very personable, & professional. Recently I have also participated in their veterinary clinic with one of my dogs. We opted for dental cleaning & also heartworm testing. The staff & clinicians were wonderful. These clinics get BUSY so pack your patience with you. My understanding is that this clinic is staffed with licensed veterinary clinicians & are overseen by an on-site licensed veterinarian. For the dental experience, my young dog already had relatively clean teeth. This is a good low cost, no anesthesia option if your dog needs superficial cleaning. I mean, it only takes 20 minutes. It is decently under $199 for the cleaning as opposed to over $350+ at the vet- and under anesthesia at the vet. HOWEVER, if your dogs' teeth have been neglected and he/she is in serious need of major cleaning & work (extractions, etc)- this is NOT the clinic for you. Go See Your Vet! Kahoots is a great "annual maintenance" option for dental, and of course many other annual veterinary services. Just my opinion. A wonderful low cost option for the community. I really like this pet store. I went here to buy food for my two dogs, very clean store, great quality food and impeccable customer service. I will be returning here every time I need dog food or dog snacks. I would def recommend! They even carried the bag of dog food to my car which honestly was very helpful. I called ahead today to see if this Kahoots had my dogs' favorite treats: Merrick Power Bites. Chelsea answered the phone and was SO nice! I got to the store about 20 minutes later with my two Jack Russell Terriers and was greeted by Holly. She was outrageously nice and offered treats to my puppies.
