The other day, my daughter's rabbit lept off the second floor landing and landed hard. Hard enough that we took her to the vet. The trouble was finding a vet who treated rabbits on an emergency basis.Our usual vet in San Bruno didn't have anyone on staff to handle her, and a series of calls and recommendations led us to Adobe.The staff was exceptional. They saw us quickly, treated us well, and took great care of our injured rabbit. The facility is very nice. Access is easy, parking is plentiful, and there are several waiting rooms in case you are there with a small animal and are worried about waiting with the larger pets.Special thanks to Dr. Butkus, who handled us, and the rest of the staff. Very professional all around. They even called us a few days later to make sure she was doing ok.Our usual vet isn't taking new rabbit patients, so we're going to look at having our rabbits looked after at Adobe. Had to take my pets here twice due to a couple of scares. They're speedy, skilled and don't mess around. I spent a few hours between monitoring and procedures on my cat on a Sunday. They explained in detail their hypothesis, what could be done and what were the risks, and best of all, even let me stick around for the gnarly stuff. This is the best animal hospital I've seen since moving to the Bay Area! From the modern, spa-like lobby, to the warm, yet clinical exam rooms, you'll immediately see the difference from other animal hospitals. The check-in staff and technicians that greet you are confident and knowledgeable as well as empathetic toward their ill-at-ease guests. If our little ladies could be aware of the health care they've benefitted from here, they would probably love coming here more than they do :p. Our rat developed a tumor and her quality of life very quickly deteriorated in the last week. We finally made the decision today to put her down and out of pain. We have never been to this vet, but they told me to just walk in and they got me in a room and explained the treatment and were very kind and understanding and helpful. Brought Mitzi in for what I thought was an emergency because I hadn't found a gentle and compassionate vet in the Bay Area. Rachel Boltz, DVM examined Mitzi, my stray cat, took a blood sample and told me that he would of died of malnutrition had I not rescued him. I was in total disbelief of how compassionate Rachel Boltz, DVM was that I saw several years ago. I even went as far as looking Rachel Boltz, DVM over the internet and noticed that She had won several awards. It was very reassuring knowing that Rachel Boltz, DVM was genuine when she told me that she was GaGa over cats. Even thought I've moved to Fresno, Ca., Rachel Boltz, DVM made such a lasting impression on me that I still remember Adobe Animal Hospital till today. More...

We've come to Adobe for 3 tumor removals on our rats and they've done great work. Even though we live 40 minutes away we make the trip to Adobe because they have doctors who are knowledgeable about rats and honest about us when it comes to surgeries. Sadly our ratty girl Prika passed away recently from cancer, but I know that the two mass removals performed by Adobe gave her extra time and quality of life. Her sister Piper is still alive and happy at 3 years old. :) We will entrust our future rats' health with Adobe so long as we're in the area. More...

Our best friend Marley (3 yr old labradoodle) had anaphylactic chock and I don't want to think what would have happened without the staff at Adobe. They all took care of Marley in a calm but urgent matter. Most of the day we spend with him in the ICU and never once did we feel in the way or out of place. Adobe is such an amazing place. My puppy came in last week with a fractured leg at 10pm and then this week (exactly one week later) he came in lethargic and not eating. Adobe had him stay overnight and I felt 100% confident he was I'm good hands. Adobe is hands down the best place to take your pet. If it wasn't for Dr Todd Kelman my 7 week puppy would be dead. I only had him one day, this was a few days before Christmas. He contracted Coccidia and the other pet emergency hospital could not figure that out. I had to make them keep my puppy because he wasn't holding anything down and was barely moving. My friend is a client of Adobe and told me to pull my puppy out of that hospital and bring him to Adobe. I did just that. Dr Kelman and all the techs were on him like bees on honey. Gave him immediate supportive care and he started coming around. Within a few hours he was up and being a puppy again. They tested his feces (something the other place didn't even bother to do) and found coccidia. He was given medication and came home the next day. Today is running around the house looking for trouble. A big thank you to the staff and especially Dr Kelman. You are my Christmas hero. More...

This is absolutely the best vet hospital I've ever used. The care they've shown my animals, as well as the rest of my family, is beyond compare. Both of my pets have had serious issues -- my cockapoo developed IMHA, and we were welcomed with open arms to visit him at every hour of the day/night during his stay in the ICU (including my at-the-time infant son, who staff took time to talk to). More recently, my schnauzer, after the removal of a bladder stone, developed some serious inflammation and Dr. Roos emailed with me frequently over the course of Thanksgiving in order to determine whether or not he needed to be seen -- AND the hospital waved the cost of his emergency follow-up appointment.
