Kara is a miracle worker. Her training methods allow you to truly communicate and positively engage with your dog. Before her services, my dog was a nervous mess and couldn't interact well with other dogs. With her help, I was able to pass the AKC K9 Good Citizens Test and have a much more happy and confident dog. Kara was incredibly helpful with my foster dog, Arlo. We enrolled in her group obedience and intro to scent work class because Arlo had a lot of trouble focusing/responding to commands in public spaces with distractions. The 6-week group obedience was a lot of fun and helped unleash a different side of Arlo where he became more motivated and focused to learn. It also helped him learn how to focus on his handler vs everything going on around him. As a foster dog, our goal was to get him to a point where he would become easier to manage and more adoptable which is what this class with Kara did for us. Arlo is now thriving in a home where he was adopted and I was able to send him to his forever home with his basic obedience very solid plus he enjoyed learning some fun tricks! It’s hard to put into words what Kara has done for us but if you want to live in peace with your dog and be able to train them the way you want - Kara can help you in anyway. kara has more than once now had no issues with me contacting her to ask her questions about my shepherds behaviors. she is hands down the most knowlagable person I have ever met that knows just about everything there is to know about training your dog and helping them with behavioral issues they might have. Even though I only had two full sessions with Kara, my very difficult Cavalier King Charles Spaniel had made such progress that he was like a completely different dog when he moved in with my daughter (I couldn't keep him due to moving). He previously would bark incessantly and was terrified of everyone, showing his fear by lunging and snarling. My daughter says he is doing very well and rarely has any issues anymore. Thanks, Kara! Kara is an amazing trainer. As a rescue,our Gunther came with some “ trust “ issues and a few bad habits. Kara’s understanding of his personality and patience has paid off immensely. I've taken several classes with Kara and they were all amazing. Dory is the first dog that I have owned and when I brought her home as a puppy, I really had no idea how to train her. Kara came to my house and she trained me as much as she trained my puppy. She was always positive and upbeat, even when I was messing up the commands. Even after taking classes, I could always count on her to answer my questions. She helped me get my dog ready to pass the AKC CGC test. I can't say enough about her. Note ; I'm a real person with real dogs.She came over and gave me an amazing deal on having my dogs trained! Being disabled and having no idea how to train a service dog, she helped me get my super-sized puppy the basics in obedience and and even a few tricks! She's personable, friendly, understanding, caring and more than willing to work with YOU as a person, individually, to get you the care and help that you and your dogs need! Not only that, but she gives you a sliding scale to work with if you're on a fixed income.My hyper war-horse of a puppy has been improving every day, and now I can even keep her off-leash when I go places and actually begin to think about making her a real, true-to-life service dog! I had a problem with my dog and cat getting along and I contacted Kara @ K9addict. She was just fabulous, and very, very kind. She gave me advice, suggestions & recommended some videos and was very accommodating. absolutely wonderful! my little furbaby kept marking in the house and everything revolves around him. Kara taught not only my dog to trust me but to trust my dog more, which in return makes everyday hikes and car rides that much more enjoyable with my best friend by my side. In December we decided to bring a rambunctious puppy into our lives. We started with Kara's group puppy class, after seeing how much Blue enjoyed it and how amazing Kara is with the dogs we decided to do weekly private sessions.
