Our Stella has been a student for 4.5 weeks now. She's an insecure pup with high anxiety which turns to some aggressive tendencies. Jeff has been great in helping her better cope with the anxiety and insecurities. Stephanie has been wonderful providing daily photo and video updates. I have a Daniff (Great Dane/Mastiff) and brought her to K-9 Perceptions because I needed to be able to control her as she is growing rapidly. Within the first week I saw a noticeable difference. Where to start, let’s talk about my doberman puppy. She cute, smart and stubborn and spoiled rotten. We bought every book and watched hours of YouTube to learn how to train her, and while having moderate success we were still having problems controlling our dog. Everyone kept saying “Oh, she’s a puppy. She will grow out of it” and while we somewhat agreed, we also knew she’s a doberman and we need to make sure we could control this fast-growing dog. We knew we needed help, that’s when a former co-worker recommended K-9 Perceptions. So, I reached out to the organization thru the website one night, and the very next day I got an email back from Stephanie. I explained to her the issues we were having, and she convinced me and my partner that they could help. We had a lot of questions, and they took the time to make sure we had all the information we needed. I can’t tell you how much I appreciated this because they made us fell we had a partner in training our dog. We decided to board our dog, and start the training. Hayley, our trainer posted photos of Ruby’s progress on Facebook which help us because 3 weeks without your dog can be stressful for the parents. Ruby however was having a blast, she got to play with other dogs 3 times a day. She got 4 walks a day and then she got the expert training that she needed. Yesterday we picked up Ruby, you could tell that she grew up a bit. She is behaving and listening and stands tall and proud and looks great! Hayley’s exit session with us was amazing we got to practice all the commands and she answered all our questions. When we got home we went for a walk, and worked on some commands. Saw Cassandra in West Bloomfield today for a meet-and-greet with my chow chow. We want to work on behavior modification (she's shy, not aggressive), and Cassandra had some wonderful ideas on how she could help my dog build confidence in crowds of people, as well as how I could help better socialize my dog and read her emotions. I don't know where to start...besides saying I love this place! I came in with my chocolate Lab Sammy! He was very aggressive with people and other animals it was getting out of hand. We spoke to many training facilities and private trainers who wanted to use shock training I didn't feel that was a good way to approach. I then found K9 and spoke to Steph she told me all of the steps she'd be taking with positive training weekly and always made us comfortable with her teaching. A little bit over 6 weeks now and Sam has been transformed. He's able to be socialized around others and listen. Also! Boarding and day care are perfect. We left Sam for one week while we went on a cruise and he loves the staff and playing! He jumps of excitement when he goes there! Stephanie was great with my Stella! She got to spend 5 weeks with her and Stella learned a lot. Stella now has more self confident, listens and takes commands without any fuss. We love our pit mix and while her overall behavior with us was good her behavior with other dogs was not. We live in a heavy dog community and going for a walk around other dogs was a nightmare. That has all changed with her time at K9 Perceptions!! She is very calm when walking by other dogs. No more pulling and tugging , no more barking and snarling. She is a pleasure to walk!! Tobie is my year old Pitbull pup. He had separation anxiety: chewing, destroying, clingy. He also needed most of the basic training: sitting, staying, not pulling on leash. After the first week of him being with Stephanie, I knew all of this was worth it. He's no longer super clingy, nor does he destroy things. Just in case someone is thinking if their dog would benefit from K-9 Perception training, let me give you my experience with them. Aspen is a good puppy, only 1 year old, but right after I got him, my health declined and I was unable to train him as I would like. Aspen was getting into brawls at the part lately. He would escalate quickly and would not listen to me. Look at him now! (Just saw an impressive video of Aspen in action) With all those distractions... I heard about Caleb and his success with many problematic dogs. He evaluated Aspen and immediately identified his problem. He put a training program together just for him and in just a couple of weeks it's the perfect version of my lovely fur kid. The videos they posted, brought happy tears to my eyes. Caleb also meet with me to teach me the techniques I should follow and Aspen responded wonderfully. Clutch is our 1 1/2 year old Pit Bull. He developed vicious tendencies with some large, intimidating dogs, including our 10 year old Pit Bull. He went through the 6 week training course and has learned self control. He now walks away when he is in a situation that could turn bad. We are so happy and proud of him. We just finished a 3 week training course for our young dog Lily, at Poochies Daycare in Orange Park, Florida. The training was done predominantly by Konner Sawicki who performed miracles. His teaching skills and quiet, determined manner were just what Lily needed and his consultation sessions with me following the training were informative and allowed for an easy transition. I wanted to wait until our dogs settled in before giving my review. They have been home since Tuesday, and they are doing so much better. Before we took Loki and Odin to k9 perceptions, they were showing aggressive behaviors towards other animals, especially dogs, they were awful on leashes, and when someone came over they were jumping all over them. They boarded and trained for three weeks. While at boarding Loki took to other dogs very well, he loves playing in a pack of dogs, and Odin is now tolerant of dogs-he does great one-on-one but doesn't care for a group of dogs. A huge improvement for both. They have some more work to do on leashes, but are so much better than they were, and when I come in the door they are calmly waiting in their "place" until I call them out, and they don't jump when they get to me. I am so glad we took them to k9 perceptions, best decision we could have made. Thank you so much for taking the time to work with our dogs! More...

Our two papillons are doing so amazing after their training!!!!!! We had then at "sit" at "place" went outside for a couple minutes and came back and they stayed until released from their command,amazing! !!!! The team their is great!!! I am very happy! In just a week, they were able to make big changes in my pups behavior. They also spent considerable time showing me and talking to me about how to continue training at home. Riley spent 3 weeks with Caleb to work on some dog/leash aggression issues in January. I am thrilled with the outcome! Riley is much more relaxed on leash which makes me feel comfortable for us be out & about with him around other dogs and that's exactly what I was hoping for. Murray spent 2 weeks with Caleb and came home a much calmer, and more well-adjusted bulldog. It was hard parting with him for that amount of time, but I was committed to doing what was necessary to give him the structure he needed.
