Cindy was wonderful with doing home sessions and then classes for our Rottweiler, Jack. I’ll certainly use K-9 Elementary and Cindy’s services for training future dogs.

I have a 110+ pound female Great Dane named Tulip who is the biggest chicken when it comes to new environments and new experiences. I have never trained a dog before and am taking the Basic Obedience training class with Tulip now. I am amazed each week at Cindy’s knowledge of dog training and her ability to relay to dog owners how to properly train our dogs. I have been able to successfully teach Tulip many commands so far. Tonight was monumental for us. Tulip is still very timid at class and tonight was obstacle course night. Tulip is extremely hesitant to try anything new because she gets so scared. She was fearful of all of the new activities, but Cindy helped us through all of them several times and after a few rounds, Tulip was doing them all on her own, even the tunnels, as I guided her! She was having fun after learning she could do the obstacles and I’m so proud of her! I am still in awe that Cindy helped us accomplish something so huge! The results so far have been amazing and we aren’t even finished with the entire class yet. I highly recommend K-9 Elementary for training. More...

I highly recommend attending Cindy's training classes. My husband and I drove a 3 hour round trip every week, because we wanted to learn from the best, and it was so worth it. Cindy is an incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and ethical trainer, with many years of experience. Even an experienced dog owner can learn a great deal from her classes. We are better dog owners/handlers, because we took the time to not only attend and listen to her teaching, but also follow through at home each day, with practice and patience. Thank you, Cindy! I have used Cindy’s training in 2012 for Rosie and Murphy and went all the way to TDI certification. Now in 2018, I have Sammie. We had to attend another training facility because I called too late to get into Cindy’s puppy class but I did get into the following session. The other class we attended is no comparison to the awesome training by Cindy. She is knowledgeable and knows what she is doing. She is great in explaining why we use the commands she trains us on. She sets you up for success and I highly recommend her! More...

Cindy trained both of my very large Leonbergers and did a wonderful job. At no time did I feel disadvantaged because of their size. Would highly recommend!

Cindy is amazing. She believed in my dog when another trainer told me he was a problem. He is hands down the best dog I've ever owned and she could see his potential from the start. She taught me what I had to do to allow him to shine like he was always meant to. More...

When I got my first 2 month old Great Dane puppy in 2012, I had no idea what I was doing. I would leave Mya in the house while at work and she would chew everything up. During the first month I had Mya, I took her to the vet for a routine check up and she was really pulling on the leash. My vet saw this and suggested that I get her some training before she gets bigger and I really have problems. She suggested Cindy at K-9 Elementary. The first time I talked to Cindy I told her about the problems I was having with Mya while at work. She immediately told me over the phone about the importance of crate training, and how it is not mean to leave Mya in there while at work. That it creates a place of security for her while I teach her right from wrong while at home. Cindy did all of this for me before I even gave her any money. Once classes started Cindy taught me the tools I needed to get Mya to listen well outside the classroom. In 2016 I brought my second Great Dane puppy, Duke. Before I even brought Duke home I called Cindy to get him enrolled in classes. I figured I could use the knowledge Cindy gave me with Mya to train Duke myself, but I also know that if I enrolled him in classes Cindy would remind me if I wasn't doing my part to train Duke. Because I knew Duke would only put in the same effort I gave him. While classes with Duke were continuing, Mya got sick and lost 30 lbs. I told Cindy about this and she gave me guidance and an ear to vent on how to go about handling the situation. She would message me and ask me how things were going, and I never paid her a dime for this. I can never thank her enough for all the help she has given me. More...

I have been using Cindy since 2010 when I brought her my first Great Dane, Molly. I had trained previous dogs myself (basic commands), but wanted guidance because a Great Dane is a huge dog and needs training early in life. I never wanted to be that crazy person at the end of a leash getting towed! Cindy was hands down PHENOMENAL. So much of dog training is not only the command but the reasoning and the dogs thought process behind it. I finally had the key to realize how dogs are thinking, what scares them, and what motivates them. Molly loved Cindy and so did I, I sought out private lessons as well as group lessons. Molly went to school for 1 year and during that time she had achieved 3 AKC obedience titles, canine good citizen certification, and became a TDI Certified Therapy Dog. My next Great Dane was Maya, who came to Cindy in 2012 and achieved the same successes as Molly. Maya went on to take agility classes in Green Bay and would army crawl through that fabric tunnel like a true veteran! Again, both dogs did amazing under Cindy's tutelage. Both could be trusted off leash at all times, with other dogs, in a park, and with young kids. Fast forward to 2016..I added to our family 2 Great Dane sisters Mycah and Mooshie. I live in Green Bay and tried dog trainers here, they all paled in comparison to Cindy. Many would cover in 2 classes, what Cindy would cover in 1. We made the trek to Mosinee every Wednesday for 9 months and the pups did amazingly well and followed in the footsteps of Molly and Maya. Both just passed the exam and became TDI Certified Therapy Dogs visiting multiple hospitals in Green Bay. Everywhere we go I am told what well behaved Great Danes I have and I never forget where it all started. Cindy gave me the tools and guidance to make these dogs amazing members of society and a credit to the breed! I do have to post this disclaimer; while Cindy is an excellent teacher, the 45 minutes or so you spend in class once a week will not make up for the everyday training that should take place at home. You cannot take a dog that does not know anything and expect them to pass High School in 6 weeks! You ultimately are the best trainer and Cindy can give you the instruments to achieve that success. Cindy knows her stuff! There aren’t enough words to say thank you! We were nearing our wits end when we started the Basic Obedience Course with our dog River. We were even beginning to consider re-homing her, which would have broken the hearts of everyone one in our family. We had adopted River in December. She is a great dog but she is so strong and we couldn't get her to stop pulling on a leash. She had even pulled so hard one day that she pulled a muscle in my arm. I was afraid she would hurt our daughters also. She wouldn't listen to us, so we could never take her outside without a leash. The only way we could let her run off the leash was to take her to the school and close the play yard gates. Because of that she only got out to really run just once or twice a week. And she is a working/hunting breed so she really needs to be able to run. She barked at anything and everything! She jumped on everyone. The first night of class, we met Cindy when she came outside to find out who was barking out of control. Cindy approached her, spoke to her by name --- remember we had never met Cindy before now. And within 2 -3 minutes she had River quiet and paying attention to her. Mid-way through that first night, I told Cindy that what we had accomplished to that point was worth every penny of the cost of the class -- and I meant it. At the end of the 6 week course, Cindy spoke to me again and said, "I know that first night you were ready to go home before we even started, aren't you glad you stayed!" Cindy incorporates the entire family in her training program. We have learned so much and so has River. She now can go outside without a leash and run and play in our backyard!!! Her recall is incredible!!! She doesn’t pull nearly as much. She still barks some, but she's much better than she ever was before. We all need more work, so we've enrolled for a second session. I am so pleased with the classes that I recommend Cindy, her staff and K-9 Elementary to everyone we meet who has a puppy or a four-legged friend that needs some training. More...
