JTown's Grill

First time eating here today. It was very good for the price. My husband got the Philly cheesesteak was a little smoker lingering taste but was good :) I had cat fish and it was hot and good. Daughter had grill cheese she said was best she ever had hehe. Waitress was very nice. Her name was Natalie I believe very nice and helpful. Their tea was delicious! Looking forward to trying a new place. due to it was a Saturday around 1, I sent a FB msg asking for a reservation for 4, preferably in a corner, on Friday. I received confirmation all was set. Arrived about 15 minutes before reservation and was told they had nothing written down for our party. I showed the host the FB message and he instantly had a table for us. Our waiter was terrific! Food took absolutely FOREVER to come out of kitchen to table. Table next to us, that was seated almost 30 minutes after us got their appetizers before we even got our meal. Made no sense. Fries were cold. House chips were cold. Never said a peep to our waiter as that issue would have been on the kitchen. The burrito with Fritos had not one Frito in it. No reason to mention as reading reviews of long wait for food and cold food seems to be regular thing and nothing is being done to resolve issue. More...

Great food and service (thank you Dakota)! only negative was that we came to watch the game and the Chiefs vs Giants were tied 17-17 with less than 3 minutes left in the game and some female employee turned the TV off on us! guess she was ready to go home but seriously, you're still sweeping the entire restaurant! does it really hurt to let us watch 2 and 1/2 mins of a game? Pulled my ESPN app up and watched Chiefs win on the way to.our hotel. love visiting Jonesboro but will have to find somewhere that isn't afraid to stay open an extra 5 mins on game night. More...

I was excited to check this place out last night as it’s one of the few restaurants Jbro has with a patio but was very disappointed with both the food and the service.

Checked in and asked to be seated on patio which is very small but has a decent view of the stadium 🏟 Cute little spot if you want to meet a friend for just a drink if you don’t mind delayed service and are just socializing not eating. Nice hometown atmosphere, but that’s where the good stops in this review unfortunately.

Started with the crab and spinach dip that took about 45 min to come out... Im not sure why they call it that because there was no crab in it 🤷‍♀️literally a 1/4 block of cream cheese with a hint of old bay maybe 4 spinach leafs and like 5 tiny diced tomatoes in a small cast iron skillet. We had to use the cold unsalted kettle chips to mix it up ourselves which gave me something to play with while I waited another 30 min for the waitress to come out and tell me they have no pretzel 🥨 buns for the turkey sandwich I ordered , I asked what type of bread they do have and she said I’ll just get you a menu... ok that doesn’t answer my question at all because obviously they don’t have everything offered on the menu, fine I’ll just chance it and order a different sandwich. I ordered the club. Still I wonder why it took so long after we ordered and even got our appetizer that they realized the error? Another 45 min or so food comes out not the sandwich I ordered but I’m starving so I check it out and considered eating it but it looks so unappealing I can’t bring myself to even take a bite. It was some type of chicken sandwich with big hunks of chicken that look like grilled nuggets on eggs and soggy croissant. I give the waitress a fair enough amount of time to come back and check if the food is ok and I can watch her through the window attend to her tables , visiting one table 3 times within the 20 min I waited before I brought my plate inside to her and let her know this wasn’t what I ordered to which she replied “ I mean I guess I’ll just take it off your ticket and bring it out, you keep that” no offer to have what I actually ordered made! She looked really annoyed at me so I didn’t push it and in retrospect I would not have wanted to wait another 45 min to get a subpar sandwich 🥪🤷‍♀️ Again waited 20 or so min for the bill which she put on the table then uncomfortable stared at me and said “ I mean do you want me to wait for it or? “ ...

I don’t understand the rudeness from this waitress at all , they were not slammed by any means in the dinning room , there was 3 other servers and a bartender as well as a hostess and maybe foh manager that I saw so no excuses for such poor service other then she simply didn’t want to be bothered by a table on the patio. I can totally understand off nights in the kitchen and that’s why it’s so important to have good servers represent you and apologize for delays or mistakes, didn’t get a single apology yesterday. A great place. Just not tonite. First time EVER. Service was not good - food was cold. I get it -employees are hard to come by right now, but when you are expecting and paying for a good JTown meal we was so disappointed. the wait was not a problem. We sat outside great nite to visit with friends- but waitress did not check on us very often for drinks. Food was cold when we got it. For one of us 2nd round was just as bad.
