We wanted to try different foods while in Chicago and we had so many good things to point out about our whole experience. Everything from the entrance, the ambience, the way we were greeted and of course, the great cuisine . We ordered the Blackened Salmon with cream of Jalapeno soup. The Jalapeno soup was not spicy but bursting with flavor and tortilla chips and sprinkled with fresh green onion! The Blackended Salmon was laid on a bed of Rosetto pasta. Joseph’s is great! Love the food, drinks and atmosphere. Very friendly staff and we especially enjoy the piano player. He comes out every so often and will randomly play a great tune. Our new favorite place.

I visited this restaurant a couple of years ago and when back in Chicago recently opted to visit again. It’s under new management and has been upgraded and redecorated and the whole experience was even better than before. They have a great selection of daily specials that seem to change regularly and everyone in our party of four opted for something different. We ate at Joseph's for dinner recently. I wasn't expecting much since I hadn't read any reviews. We were mainly eating there to support local businesses. To my surprise the food was great, from the garlic rolls, to the cream of jalapeño soup, to my Chicken Parmesan and my friend Walleye. She raved it was the best meal she's had in forever, and I'm a pretty good cook. Anyway, service was great, atmosphere was ok, nothing fancy, but the food was worth the price so we'll be back again! My husband and I drove from Long Beach Indiana to take my Mom out for an impromptu dinner...found Joseph’s on a whim and we’re so glad we did! ! Thank you for making Joseph's our local go-to restaurant. Joseph's has the feeling of a neighborhood place but much more elegant. Excellent quality food - fresh and delicious. Great restaurant, great wide-variety menu, great service, great staff. The owners really care about their establishment and the local neighborhoods. They recently catered for one of the many venues for the Beverly Art Walk and it was much appreciated. This place is also for all ages and the food is so fresh and delightful that even our 9-year old finishes a massive dish of their home-made lasagna. My husband and I went here last night and we loved it. It has a nice mom-and-pop type of feel. It's a great place for a quiet-ish dinner. .. you are easily able to hold a conversation with your dinner mates, because the music isn't too loud. (The music, BTW, was great... but it was at a nice, low volume). It'd also be a nice place to just chill and have a dinner by yourself. The service was fantastic. We were happily greeted as soon as we walked in the door. We could also just tell that all the employees are very happy working there. Our server, Brad, was great. My husband and I reallllyyy drew out the dinner -- we had a lot of wine, and intentionally took a long time to order -- and Brad was totally cool with it. He provided fantastic service, always paid attention to us, but was not over-bearing at all. The food and wine were both quite good. Great bang for your buck -- we were impressed with portion sizes and the quality of the food/drinks at such reasonable prices.I would recommend this place if you want to have a nice, casual, easy-going dinner.
