What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
The secret to taking a great photograph is knowing your equipment & surroundings. You need to be able to see the final outcome in your mind before you even start setting up any gear... if you have a goal to push toward, you will use your skill to make it come to life.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
• The first question that I always ask the client is "what's your vision?", this allows them to be open and passionate about what they want.
• What is your time-frame? I need to know how much time is available for planning and executing.
• What is the budget for this project? This will allow me to determine the scope of the project. It also allows me to customize the project to fit any budget.
• What will the final format be? I need to know if I will be delivering via web, print, or digital storage.
What do you love most about your job?
I love taking a client's idea and turning it into this tangible thing that can be touched, seen, and understood. When a client sees the final product and is overcome with joy, that is what makes me feel accomplished.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I wanted to constantly push the boundaries of creating and never make stagnant content... for example, in a corporate environment, there is always this "want" to evolve and produce mind-blowing content... but there is also the "need" to adhere to the rule book and play it safe. I don't like playing it safe. I want to look back on my accomplishments and say "wow, that was intense" not "well, that was easy."
Why should our clients choose you?
Because I am hungry to impress. I want my clients to be absolutely thrilled that they chose to work with me... and the only way to accomplish that is to think out of the box, deliver fresh ideas, and blow their minds.
