I highly recommend Ron with Jonas Independent Contracting, LLC. Being a single woman, it's easy to be leery about house repairs and being taken advantage of, but this was certainly not the case this time. Ron provided a thorough, free inspection of my roof. I had significant hail damage from an earlier storm. Ron assisted me through the insurance filing process, met with the adjuster at my house, who approved a complete roof replacement then had a date of installation for our new roof within a couple days. Ron took care of all details. There was a minimal work on my part! He was even able to make it so that there was no money out of pocket for me! The communication and professional is top notch, something that is hard to come by these days. After the install, Ron came himself to inspect the work and to make sure there were no additional nails left in the yard so that it would be safe for my daughter. He's also completed other small jobs around my house with the same level of professionalism and courtesy as a big roofing job, I highly recommend JIC. I had been dealing with a leaky roof for months and dreaded the thought of having to call a contractor to address the issue. Ron J**** was recommended to me by a neighbor and for the first time, I can honestly say I received a service that exceeded my expectations! Not only was he punctual and professional, but he turned what I thought was going to be just a repair, into a full roof replacement covered by insurance! I admit, initially I thought to myself, "this is too good to be true...where's the catch" so I did what any skeptical customer would do, I got a second opinion. Not only was Ron accurate in all of his detail related to the issues with my roof, but in the end, my out of pocket costs for a full replacement was LESS than what another contractor wanted to charge for just a repair...AND my roof was upgraded at no extra charge! He walked me step by step through the entire process and when it came to the day of the replacement, his team were punctual, friendly, respectful and very diligent in getting the job done. If I could give 6 stars I would..I have hired many a contractor in my time and once in a while you run across one that stands out at the head of the crowd. Ron was very thorough during the entire process, in assessing what needs to be done, meeting with myself and the ins. adjuster,keeping me up to date through the entire process, and last but certainly not least cleaning up every day and once the job was complete checked the yard and beds for stray roofing tacks that had made their way to the ground. Ron was very knowledgeable about what it takes to get the insurance company to approve a roof. He came out and work with my adjuster to get the roof done after the two hurricanes that came through our area in September and October. Once the roof was approved his crew had the roof replaced within the week, with the work done in one day. I also had my gutters replaced by his crew as well. We highly recommend Jonas Independent Contracting if you're in need of a new roof! From start to finish, the whole process has been easy and smooth. After we contacted the owner, Ron, he came out promptly for an estimate and walked us through the process. He helped us with the homeowners' insurance claim and came out to meet with the adjuster for the inspection. Our claim was approved within a few days and he scheduled the crew to be here just a couple days later. I was grateful they were available on a Saturday - that worked best for our schedule. The crew arrived early in the morning and got right to work. We were so impressed by their process; they're organized and very hard workers. They removed and replaced the entire roof in 6.5 hours, including setup, cleanup, and a lunch break! Their efficiency and work ethic is not something you see a whole lot of these days. In the days leading up to this, we were a bit worried about cleanup afterwards because naturally there will be plenty of debris and nails moving around. We have two dogs and were concerned about their paws. It turns out we had no reason to worry. The crew cleaned up impeccably! Looking at our yard, you would never know our roof was just replaced. The roof itself looks amazing! We had several color choices and went with pewter gray. It turned out wonderfully and we are so happy we did this. Jonas Independent Contracting is the only company we called for an estimate. We'd normally get a few estimates for work as important as a roof, but we trusted Ron right away and have heard of so many neighbors with positive experiences that we didn't call anyone else. I had the pleasure of meeting and eventually contracting with Ronald J****, owner of Jonas Independent Contracting, following Hurricane Florence's devastation in North Carolina. From the time I first met Ron I felt at peace about the situation I was facing. It was my thought that I had damages from the hurricane but Ron's thorough (and free) inspection of my roof proved otherwise. I had significant hail damage from an earlier storm. Ron assisted me through the insurance filing process, met with the adjustor at my house, who approved a complete roof replacement then had a date of installation for our new roof within a couple days. The employees that actively removed and replaced my roof were some of, if not the most respectful laborers I have ever encountered. The cleanliness and attention to detail they exhibited were remarkable. I could not be any more pleased with this process and am so happy that through this unfortunate situation, I can now say not only that I know a superb contractor, I also have made a great friend.
