Our photographer Jon was outstanding! From start to finish he was on point with every little detail pertaining to pictures. Between all the craziness from the start in our hotel room of getting ready to the ceremony & reception I couldn’t have asked for a better experience with a photographer. He was everywhere at the perfect moment to capture incredible pictures. He guided everyone when it came time for group pictures, guided me through the shots of myself. He made his way all throughout the room/reception to capture everyone & everything he could, as well as being the perfect shadow for me & my special moments. From the very beginning Jon was the right fit for us. After viewing his portfolio we were confident that our photos of our wedding would be exactly what we wanted. We did not have a very traditional wedding so we did not want traditional posed photos. We wanted more candid photos for memories of our wedding celebration. Plus we needed somebody who could simply have a great time with us and blend into the crowd. Jon's price was right where we wanted to be and he was very flexible with "overtime" if we had needed. I decided last minute to have a professional photographer take pictures at my husband's 50th birthday party. Jon was the first one to reply and very helpful from the beginning. His terms are straightforward (nothing hidden), and super reasonable. I was a bit worried about how the pictures will turn out until I met Jon. Jon is a courteous and professional individual, who works well with people of all ages. He walked in, looked at the layout and spots for good pictures, asked me few relevant questions and then took care of everything. He covered the event so well, that not once did I have to ask or remind him to do something we had discussed early on. And the end product is more than I hoped for. First, he shared the photographs earlier than what he had promised. Second, I could have spent a lot more and not recieved better pictures than those Jon took. I have to say that we are completely spoilt now and will most likely have Jon cover future events for us as well. The biggest compliment I can pay Jon is that the teenagers (ages 14-19) at my daughter's 17th birthday party loved the pictures. That age group is always going to be the most difficult to please and they were extremely happy. From my point of view, Jon arrived early so he was ready to go by the agreed start time, his price is very reasonable, he was unobtrusive while taking the pictures but got photos of everything and he was very pleasant and easy to deal with. Jon is absolutely the best! He is great at making sure you get every posed photo combination you want, and is also amazing at getting the right candids. He will take shots of decorations, place settings and anything you could ever think of (and a bunch that you wouldn’t think of). He is great with the crowd and unobtrusive at the right times. His photos are beautiful and he delivers them quickly. I used him two years ago for an event and again this month and he continues to shine! Jon did a wonderful job taking family photos for us! Our daughter is only 4 months old and was not always an easy subject, but he did a great job of being flexible with us and working together to find the best tricks to make her look smiley and adorable. Jon was a lifesaver in photographing our sons first communion. We needed photos taken prior to mass to capture the day and did not have a lot of time. Jon arrived in advance to set up for our needs, knowing we had time constraints and certain goals for our photos. Wrangling our three young children is never easy, and Jon did so very well. His specialty is event photos, which are very evident in his body of work. However, he also did a tremendous job executing portrait style photography for us. His willingness to shoot whatever we needed and wanted was wonderful and we look forward to working with him again soon. We hired Jon to take pictures at our small, in home, wedding ceremony. Jon had very little space to work in yet we barely noticed him. The pictures are amazing!!!!! I couldn’t be happier!! Aside from the easy communication and booking process, Jon promised at 72 hour turn around (others quoted a lot more money and an 8 week turnaround) and we were surprised with our pictures delivered to us the next day! Jon was super nice and great with the kids at the party. He let us pic our own poses and also recommended some great ones. When looking for a wedding photographer I called many in the area, several did not get back to me, many required a consult, a lot weren't available and most were very expensive. I just wanted someone that could take pictures of my very simple but very important (to me) event. Just as I was about to give up on photographers I found Jon. He called me back right away and made the booking process very easy, with a quick check to see if he had the date available and thankfully he was! He sent a confirmation email and then confirmed again a week before the wedding. He showed up 30 minutes before the ceremony started to get a feel for the outdoor venue. He introduced himself and was very warm and welcoming. He started taking pictures right away. He took so many pictures of my family, my husband's family, couples and everyone in attendance; doing a great job of understanding who was who and how they were connected to the bride and groom. An added bonus is that 2 days after the event he had all of the photos emailed to me via dropbox. What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
PASSION & PEOPLE!
Passion is just one component of my venture into professional photography. The other is simple - people. I love working with people of all backgrounds and cultures to capture the significant occasions in their lives and delving into a moment that they wish to have cemented in their memories (and preserved with photos) forever. I feel an honest appreciation not only as a photographer, but as a person, to be trusted in those special milestones of your life. What started as a passion has truly turned into a privilege. With every event that I photograph, my aim is to do more than just execute. I believe that building a trusting relationship with my clients (and their guests) is paramount. A client of mine should never and will never have to worry about a missed moment during their event. My camera will be clicking from the instant I arrive to capture formal posed photos, candid shots, and all the special moments in between. Whether your event has ten guests or a thousand, I will work nonstop to ensure that no magical moment or detail is missed. What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
No contract required. No deposit required. You hire me, I arrive at your event and take lots of photos. At the end of the event, you pay me the previously agreed-upon amount. Within 48 hours (and quite often the same day), I provide you the link to your pictures!
Prior to your event, if you have special requirements or concerns, we can discuss them on the phone or via email. At any time before or during the event, please feel free to let me know any personal preferences or specific requests you may have.
