Everything was fantastic, not just the meat! We had potato salad, brussel sprouts, and coleslaw were really, really good. Highly recommend!

My family’s enjoyed JoJack’s frequently since their opening. We usually call ahead and use the drive thru. We’ve loved all the meat, with the exception of ribs (but Kilgore has ruined me for ribs). Chopped beef, pulled pork and pineapple sausage are our favorites! My husband really likes hot links and burnt ends day. The more recent additions of tacos, flautas and tortas is odd. There are really great Mexican options in town and I don’t think JoJack’s brings much to the table with their offerings. Ok, this review will be a little bias as I prefer Carolina bbq, so it might be helpful for those that grew up in a different part of the country. The brisket was very tough, almost as if it had been cut on the grain and bark was extremely salty. The beans were wayyy too sweet, green onion sausage was alright, but the onion did overpower. The chicken and the Mac and cheese were probably the best part of the meal. The Mac was interesting loaded up with pepper it was very good though. As far as the chicken, That’s probably the only meat I’d order here again. For $32 dollars I had expected much more. All in all it would be my assumption the pit master must be green. People in town praise this place so, while negative, my review is just an outsiders perspective. To each his own. If you are not born and raised in East Texas, try something else. More...
